Too expensive for the food they serve. If u r a desi you don’t want to eat this cheese dipped food. Pls save your money and try some thing different…

We went to eat here while visiting from Atlanta. We ordered $ 150 worth of take-out food and when asked to provide onions on the side, we were told it would be $ 2 extra. I have never heard of any restaurants charging for onions on the side(which is pretty normal for Indian cuisine). It looks like they want to nickle-and-dime customers. The food was pretty average, we should have trusted other Unilocal reviews and eaten somewhere else.

Finding a restaurant with good Indian food is nearly impossible in South Florida. Copper Chimney definitely did not disappoint. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. The service was a bit slow, but the food delicious. The chicken tikka masala, okra, palak paneer, lamb curry, it was all excellent!

Good Indian food. Seems like the chef knows what he is doing. The malai kofta was great. Was a bit of wait but acceptable. Would come again

The food quality was just ok. They don’t know how to make Indian vegetables. Possibly could be because of American waitresses serving there not providing proper inputs to the cook. Malai kofta which is normally on sweeter side, they made it too spicy. Somehow we managed to eat it, but next day we all had an upset tummy. When we informed the waitress that the vegetable is too spicy, she didn’t even offered to change it and just provided us raita on side so that we can eat it somehow. The restaurant is overpriced, avg vegetable price is over 15 $, which is too much for an indian restaurant. The quality is just average, so no point in wasting money here. Other ridiculous thing is they charge 20% tip by default, may it be even one person. When I got the bill i seen 10 $ gratuity being already added in the bill. When I enquired abt same with waitress she informed its our restaurant policy to charge gratuity by default. Never seen this in any other restaurant before. So if u want to save ur bucks, better avoid this restaurant. It just doesn’t have the class of copper chimney that we have back in Mumbai. I was expecting it to be similar thats why I walked in, but was a disappointment.

India meets Sunny Isles here! I’ve visited India and the food here is delish, like being in India, very authentic! Diverse menu compared to other Indian restaurants in Miami. Owners are so sweet and the staff is very attentive and knowledgable on the cuisine. Fun atmosphere with Bollywood movies. Overall a fun and satisfying experience! Highly recommend!

$ 10 delivery charge(on seamless) for an address that is exactly 8 minutes from your restaurant, are you kidding me? Not to mention super overpriced food that’s very bland! Daal makhni was watered down, rice was undercooked, although the paneer was good. The delivery person asks if I paid any tip, and how much, through seamless!!! Who does that? Here is a tip from an Indian… avoid this place! All of the above would have made sense if the food was phenomenal. Unfortunately, it’s very average.

I don’t know what these reviewers are talking about. I’ll admit the Copper Chimney is a bit pricey, but the food is AMAZING. We drive here all the way from South Miami for Indian food and are never disappointed. The biryani is the best I’ve ever had and the portions are enormous. The samosas are always hit, fresh and crispy and the service is great. I do think it’s odd that the malai kofta doesn’t come with rice, but its not enough to deter us. We love it!!!

Hopefully this will make sense… First of all, I think it’s kind of overpriced for the amount of food you receive. Other than that… 1)The food is actually quite good, depending on what you get. 2)I recommend eating there as opposed to takeout. 3)Don’t leave without having the Kulfi!(Really really good). 4)Atmosphere is great, they play Bollywood music videos on a projection screen, and it’s really nice seating. 5)Only up to medium spice is true Indian spice. Anything higher isn’t. What I’m hoping will make sense… Depending on the night you go, any one of the dishes will taste either better or worse than you remember.(Not always consistently good, is what I mean.). I suppose that can be true of any restaurant, but it’s especially true for this one.

Went here with friends. The place is in a plaza with many other options to choose from, which is good. We were sited quickly and the waiter was attentive enough. However, the food took a long time to come out even though the place was pretty empty. I order something and they came back to tell me they had run out of it, i order the next similar thing on the list but it was about $ 5 more. The place is nice enough but it is not fancy by any means. Paying $ 32 for an entry without sides is a bit much. By the time i added rice, i was in the neighborhood of $ 40. The food itself was really good. In the end, price is A bit much for the place and the food took too long to come out. I would not be repeating with so many other choices in the area. If you want indian and don’t mind price and speed, you will enjoy this place better that me.

The food here is good. Spicy and exotic and full of bold flavors. Exactly what you want from an Indian place. The lamb and saffron rice(I don’t recall the name of the dish) was really tasty. My only criticism of this place is that it is expensive. $ 50 for the rice, naan, and an appetizer. That’s pretty steep. Also, the delivery service is painfully slow. It took about an hour and a half to get my food from when I ordered. I could have literally walked over to this place and back to my place in about 10 minutes. That’s probably what I will do next time. Avoid the delivery service, but otherwise pretty solid.

Service is very good! Food is equally bad. Especially for vegetarians! Over pricy with not many options on a Sunday afternoon. Would have settled for a local place at Ft Lauderdale.

We didn’t know what to expect of an Indian restaurant in Surfside but we were pleasantly surprised. The place is decorated sort of chic not antique, the service is attentive and polite, the food quantities were large! The missing star is for pricing inconsistencies — entrée pricing started around $ 14 – 16 but some appetizers were $ 12 – 14. And once we were done eating, it took forever for the check because they were so busy.

Food: 4 Service: 0 I really, really expected more from this place. I have read great reviews and been told how wonderful this place was and while it did have some redeeming qualities, the service was so poor there that I can’t ever imagine returning. We were greeted immediately and asked where we wanted to sit, we chose an outdoor seat and were told if we wanted the buffet to enjoy. That’s what we wanted so we did. Before that, we were asked about what kind of water we wanted. Tap is my go to naturally, but we were never offered or asked if we wanted anything else which I found odd. We go to the buffet, get out food and sit down. No water. Nothing bothers me more than having an empty glass while I eat. I couldn’t even chomp on ice for liquid. What if I start choking??? What will I wash down this curry with? Finally we got our water and were told compliments naan came with the buffet so we took it. Eventually we received said naan. The water came back sporadically and would check on a table and leave, like one at a time. There was no real sense of urgency. What really bothered me is the manager(s) were sitting at the table next to us watching this. Seeing empty glasses and customers waiting and they were chit chatting with friends. Not cool in my books. We waited at least ten minutes to get the check, have him pick it up and get out change. This entire event was witnessed by the managers and they didn’t say, «hey, someone is waiting to pay.» What also bothered me is that gratuity was included. Two people, not a party of six or eight. Forcing me to pay a set gratuity for lousy service isn’t cool either. What sucks is the food is really great. The location is wonderful and the inside it cute. I would love to go back but I never want to have to deal with that again. Maybe I just had a bad server? I don’t know but I don’t think I want to go back and find out either.

OK so they dropped my food on the floor outside and thought I didn’t see it and tried to serve it to me. Are you kidding me??? Once i complained the manager woman came over, gave us the most half as apology and went on to basically defend thw situation because the server was«new» Never offered to comp the bill or discount. Food was mediocre and over priced

This place has excellent Indian food. From their tandoor dishes to their dosas. Their vindaloo has a nice spice that will leave your grasping for water. Their décor is a little strange. When I first started going there the entire restaurant was normal table and chairs. However, at some point they changed half of the restaurant to a giant count and odd plastic chairs. I ate in that section once and found the seating uncomfortable and awkward. Also, there have been times were the service is a little slow and seems disorganized, even when the restaurant is not busy. Overall the service and food and are excellent. The staff are inviting and welcoming and the owners are always present to make sure your experience is a good one.

When we walked in we found the restaurant to be beautifully decorated with very friendly service. For this they get 2 stars. After ordering drinks we perused the extensive menu. We were with a small group. We learned that Rice does. NOT come with any of the dishes. My friend and I ordered: tokri chaat: bird’s nest of potatoes filled with chickpeas, potatoes, onions, tomatoes combined with yogurt, served with tamarind and mint chutneys. This sounds delicious. It was awful. The«nest» tasted stale. The fillings seemed like seeds and every leftover scrap they could find in the kitchen. My entrée was: subz seekh: broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and bell peppers marinated with herbs. I asked for the dish with no bell peppers. It arrived full of bell peppers. The vegetables were dried out cauliflower and broccoli with heavy paprika. It tasted awful. My friend ordered the: dal tadka: yellow lentils cooked with onions and tomatoes. It tasted like yellow split pea soup.(at least this was somewhat tasty) After our meals were complete we waited about 2 hours for our check. No one could figure out how to individualize the bills. Finally, after 2 hours, we individually went up to the cash register where the owner and waiter struggled to calculate what we owed. Prices were much higher than should be for the food we ate. I have eaten Indian food in many Indian restaurants, as well as in India itself. I even cook Indian food at home. This was my worst experience with Indian«cuisine»
