Place overrated. One day the food was ok and next time it was really bad and Saturday it was really bad The waittress and waiters were ok but the breakfast was terrible!

Came here to have a quick bite, coffee and smoke a cigar! This place does it… You can smoke your cigar no questions asked in the nice outdoor terrace… This place has a mini market with a delicatessen! Wine cellar, so all in all this place is to come and spend some nice time! Enjoy

They ruined my kid’s birthday years ago with a terrible cake! I sent them a picture of the cake I wanted they said they could deliver and it was horrible. When I voiced my opinion they gave me the run around for months. The manager never called me back. I live around the block from this place and I’ve tried to eat there or get food and I have rarely received any service. One time I waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged and another time I was greeted rudely, looked up and down and I left before the ever returned. Never going back. Worst, snooty service ever!

Since the acquisition of Epicure Gourmet Market by Jerry’s Famous Delis 19 or so years ago… the now owners of Epicure have managed to slowly tarnish this once glorious South Beach iconic establishment’s name. It is obvious that Epicure’s owners are poor business men… they have single handedly purchased, destroyed, and closed two of Miami’s most reputable businesses(Rascal House in North Miami & Epicure Coral Gables) so the fact that they dishonorably let their reliable, hard-working, committed, and tenured employees go is no surprise to me. Remember this Epicure, YOU are only as good as the people who work for you. Everyone is replaceable, I get that. But I can guarantee you that a man like the one you just lost will NEVER cross your path again. With that said, I will make sure to do my part and tell everyone I know to seize from shopping/eating at Epicure. I also hope that from this point on that all your future investments go south.

Great market with overpriced cheeses, wines and many others gourmet products, I was there for a breakfast, terrible cold macchiato, old pastries, terrible service. Never come back.

We often stop on our holidays for their delicious crepes. Epicure just received an entire design overhaul with more tables indoors and an easier layout. Food is delicious both to eat there or to take out

I liked Epicure until I had a friend visit who must eat a gluten free diet due to celiac disease. Imagine my shock at finding out that a supposed healthy eating establishment did not serve a gluten free menu. Since we are here for a month and were planning on purchasing food here quite often, Epicure lost a good bit of business.

This place is way overprice The quality of the food is not that good and the service is really bad this place is only for Millionaires I bought the porterhouse steak to grill at home and they charge $ 26 a pound … 2lb steak plus tax came out to almost 60 dollars. A pound of tomatoes cost 4.99 ! Ridiculous!!! Same steak cost 12.99 at milams The next-door supermarket which is great and not that pricey! Shame on you epicure ! I’m never coming back here again.

I really wanted to like this place since it is so convenient to where we stay when we are in the area but the food is quite expensive for not really being very good. I had a chicken quesadilla since they were out of burgers and it was similar to someplace like chilis but 3x the price.

The prices are climbing higher each time, but I still drive almost an hour to grab a few bottles of mojo, some black bean soup and tons of those delicious chocolate covered pistachio biscotti every few months! The chicken soup and chocolate mousse are also worth mentioning! The cashiers and people that work in the bakery are super friendly. You can easily park behind the place, so don’t fret parking being a nightmare.

Came here for a fresh fruit juice and a latte that were perfectly delivered so my rating is based on what I had. This is a combination of coffee shop, bakery, restaurant, grocery all in one. First bar I see that serves a full bar plus coffees, fresh juices, smoothies and baked goods. The service was good and you can consume and then pay. Grocery items are pricey but it’s Epicure. Would love to come back.

If he had not been for the lack of planning for the Thanksgiving holiday menu I would’ve given it a 4 star. I’ll try to make this short. Placed my order for 2 Thanksgiving dinners as early as October 29th. My appointment time to pick up dinner was 2PM. I called them at 10:30AM Thanksgiving day asking if I could pick it up earlier and I was told«no you have to stick to your schedule time». Arrived at 2PM to find out I had to stand in line for 2 ½ hours! Good thing it wasn’t summertime! I feel bad for the employees as they had to listen to all the complaints of customers as there was little information on what was going on. It was total chaos! Finally, we were told they had ran out of turkeys and some of the side dishes but they were bringing some from the south beach store. For a while I frantically search my brain to figure out what I was going to feed 12 guests and I started looking for restaurants offering thanksgiving dinner. Luckily shortly after the rest of their turkeys arrived. This madness could’ve been avoided by predicting how many turkeys you can roast and only accepting that many orders ANDNOTOVERSELLING. Greed is a powerful thing. Food was good but would I order again? Doubt it.

The food is very fresh. Epicure has a pretty extensive variety on the menu. A lot of healthy options which is always good. Some of the Cons: slow service, very pricey. However, you pay for what you get. Service could be better.

Epicure to me, is overpriced for what you get. Small portions of soup, just average pastrami sandwiches, you can find better. It is a large deli in a great location, but the food is not all that great. I would look for something better than Epicure when I’m craving good deli food.

Boy has this place gone downhill. The waitress showed up after waiting fifteen minutes, took a drink order, threw some menus down and ran away. Then, after fifteen minutes, she reappeared with the news that they were out of rolls, hand rolls, and tapas. She said I could go into the market and buy some sushi if I really wanted it. Bong, what the have in a Jewish deli, a Ruben, yeah, with potato salad(which has always been very good); she said, «French fries?» I told her twice more, «No, French fries, potato salad.» She finally got it. No soup on the menu, but they did have Manhattan clam chowder and chicken/corn. This intuition should not be allowed to get away with removing 25 items from their menu without either reprinting or putting a notice on the page. The napkins have gone small and cheap. And the Ruben; my gosh, it was a Ruben slider for $ 15.95 and $ 2.95 extra for potato salad. They forgot the Swiss and the corned beef had NO flavour. I’m not coming in here again except to shop for a few items only available here. The Delaware Market in Hollywood and if I need corned beef I think El Presidente’s is better quality at one third the price.

This market is the best for buying delicacies and specialty foods. Very pricey items though so we come here once in a while to get certain things that we don’t find in the regular supermarket. Today I had lunch at the terrace and I’m very happy I decided to stay out and enjoy the weather here since the outside tables are neat and very comfy. We had sushi and my honest opinion is that apart from the overpriced tuna salad which was nice but nothing special to the freshness of the fish, the rice is not sushi rice! Or at least it’s not cooked as sushi rice, we had niguiris and a roll and both were made with this short grain risotto style rice which had a particular flavor and texture not found in sushi. Although it does not taste bad, it is different and I’m sure that not as pleasant for everyone craving this kind of food. 10 points for service though.

After proofing this review I think it should be titled«Ode to a Sandwich»: I am not sure if the café at Epicure Market really deserves a 5 star rating, but I couldn’t hold black with this review since the sandwich I had there today was truly worthy of 5 stars: Tower of Nova Scotia($ 15.95). Born and raised in NYC, I have had my share of smoked salmon from some great delis, appetizing stores, and fine food markets. The quality of this salmon was top notch: not too salty or fatty and sliced to just the right thickness. The sandwich itself was just a little off the beaten path from the traditional Bagel, Cream Cheese, & Smoked Salmon. This was like a Smoked Salmon Club: a bagel sliced lengthwise into four parts and layered with the salmon, tomato, capers, and a great tasting creamy herb dressing. Now one might balk and say, 16 bucks for a fish sandwich? Well, first, this is an instance where the quality is worth it. Second, the sandwich is huge. It can really feed two people(but of course I managed to finish all of it because it was so delicious!). Third, the amount of salmon on the sandwich is ridiculous. I have never paid less $ 9 or $ 10 for a smoked salmon sandwich and I have never received half as much salmon. So what about the other food? I also got a side order of Israeli Salad for $ 2.75 extra which was fresh, perfectly dressed, and absolutely delicious. Husband has the Epicure Special Milanese($ 13.99), a huge breaded steak sandwich that was cooked perfectly & had an excellent flavor. I used to frequent the Epicure Market when I lived on Miami Beach many years ago«in my former life». When I went there recently I was disappointed to see how it had changed. It seemed smaller and the variety of food did not seem as large. This Epicure Market in North Miami Beach, a former Rascal House, is much larger. The café is small but it serves a huge variety of food: breakfast items, burgers, soups, pizza, paninis, pasta, meat & fish entrees, sushi, and a juice bar. I did not think a market was the right place to order sushi but the sushi chef was cranking it out and it looked fantastic. Rolls, including«fusion rolls» made with all sorts of funky stuff were $ 12-$ 14. Our server was lovely. He was patient while explaining the food items and kept our drinks filled. Whether you are taking out or eating in, Epicure Market is not cheap. However, I believe the portion sizes and quality are well worth it. I am looking forward to returning to try other items(although I really wish Epicure Market was in my own neighborhood!)
