Sunland Test Only

This place is cool. The guy working there was friendly enough. He was efficient. It was quick and painless. But I didn’t get the price that was blasted all over their signage. Definately recommended.

Lev and Eddie are fantastic. I don’t know what that other assholes problem was, he must have needed to change his tampon. I will never take my car anywhere else. Thanks guys!

Previous Reviews are very old — I USED to take my car here — they’ve changed hands and these guys give all mechanics a BAD reputation — 1) Brought my car in on a Saturday they said they could not test a vehicle with front wheel drive, I’d have to come back on Monday 2) Returned on Monday, the «Owner» had a bad attitude (he had kids running the shop on weekends, that’s why they couldn’t test a front wheel drive!) 3) He grudgingly did the test, stopped, said I’d have to replace the catalytic converter 4) I had my car thoroughly checked and repaired by a competent mechanic (it did NOT need a catalytic converter 5) I returned for the Free Re-​Test and the «Owner» refused saying it was more than 30 days since he tested the car and wanted to charge me $ 50 (the first Test was $ 40) 6) I pointed out that his signs said FREE RE-​TEST to which he replied «I don’t care what my signs say» — Needless to say STAY AWAY FROM SUNLAND TEST ONLY — I’m on my way to the Auto Club and will go to one of their recommended centers — too bad, this used to be a good place — NO MORE — AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!

They are always very efficient; we have been taking our cars here for years. They are also «Star» certified, not just test only. Also conveniently located for us.

I’ve been here 4 times now. Great and professional service. The waiting area is not very great but usually you won’t wait long. Check the mailer for coupons.
