Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sunbury-Columbus Area

I wish I could give more than «5» STARS. From the moment my wife and I checked in with our dogs, our experience with this Holiday Inn Express was absolutely terrific. Danyeal at the front desk made our arrival and check-​in so smooth. She even made sure I received my military discount. Very pleasant and extremely courteous even personally recognizing us each day. This traveling experience was made even more enjoyable by the housekeeping crew-​Gladys, Lisa, Sherry just to mention a few. Even Chas the ops supervisor helped me with my cart. The breakfast bar was terrific and Linda and others made sure coffee was fresh and other items hot. Our newly decorated room was beautiful and our bed extremely comfortable. This was the best stay ever. With our new grandson living just a few miles away, this Holiday Inn was the BEST CHOICE. We certainly will be staying here again. Thank you Holiday Inn…

Great pet friendly hotel! We were given a room by an exit door for easy access to take our dog for a walk. The staff was wonderful, the room was good as well as all the amenities Holiday Inn offers. Several fast food restaurants, Panera & Starbucks are within walking distance. Given the chance I would stay here again.

We try to stop here both ways on our twice a year trek to see family in NY. The rooms are clean, service is consistent, the free breakfast is good, and there is a Starbucks and a Bob Evans next door, which adds to the appeal because the last thing you want to do is go get back in the car to go out to dinner at night. A recommended stop.

Great hotel !!! We were greeted with hellos and smiles but not by the witches the other poster was talking about … It was a guy who was very pleasant … Maybe the poster will get him next time … Very nice and clean and comfortable … Highly recommend !!!

The hotel and room were decent. The staff, not so much…
There were two rude hags (I really hate to be mean, but oh well) servicing the desk. We received no warm greeting, but a very cold demand of ’” last name?” as we approached the desk. I answered and they told me that my 2-​bed queen had been changed to a single-​bed because I had requested handicap accommodations and asked if that was okay. (Umm, hell no!) I told them that this had not been communicated to me in any way and that my confirmation still stated that I have a 2-​bedroom queen. They seemed slightly annoyed and seemed to imply that I somehow should have known this (whatever witches) by telling me that whenever one requests handicap accommodations, it automatically changes over to a single bed (WTF?) .
Luckily, there was still a 2-​bed queen available and so I opted for that one. I then asked if I could change the credit card that I used to reserve to a different card. They said it wouldn’t be a problem. I handed them the card and I’ll be damned if they didn’t slam it down on the desk instead of placing it in my hands :-/​
Anyway turns out that they effed it up after all and charged the card that I requested NOT to be charged :-(
There were no notable issues with the room or hotel, but one star for the lack of hospitality at the desk…

I stayed at this hotel for a few days and left with a favorable impression. The front desk was very courteous. Premises were clean. It’s very conveniently located next to the highway, gas stations, and food establishments. Also, the free hot morning breakfast was a plus.
