My husband and I had our wedding here the weekend of October 17th2015. This was honestly the most magical place! The scenery was out of this world awesome! The Inn Keeper, John, is incredibly knowledgeable, organized and very professional. He helped us through all the logistics which was great. Everything is all right there onsite, which is very convenient and intimate. We rented out the entire Inn for the weekend with family and close friends. Had a BBQ the night before and our wedding on the front lawn and reception in the tent the next day. The food is outstanding! Every room is different, which is really neat. Lots of character there. There are some trails in the back part of the property which are very beautiful. Look no further, this is the best, most reasonable and beautiful place!

This is primarily a review of the cross-country ski facilities. We did not eat or stay there(but are definitely tempted to come back for a weekend stay.) Beautiful setting overlooking Lake Sunapee with great views. The trails were pleasant and well-maintained. The rental equipment was in fine shape, and we absolutely loved the friendly service. We came with two young children, and between ski outings we were able to use the indoor facilities including a playroom, which was a definite plus.

My husband and I spent Columbus Day weekend here, when a friend got married on their lawn overlooking the fall foliage. The views were spectacular, with sweeping views of the mountains and Sunapee ski slopes in the distance. Rooms were simple and small, but we spent little time in them so that was fine. Instead we hung out in the common library reading the paper in the mornings, and head outside to the trails during the days. The lawn in back of Dexter’s Inn had every sport imaginable — croquet, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, tennis, shuffleboard, you name it. The kids there for the weekend couldn’t be happier, and the adults had more than enough to entertain themselves including a pool table in the game room for late night. I’d definitely recommend this place for a weekend getaway during the fall, for ski season, and for hikes in the summer.
