Water and Power Community Credit Union

Went in on two different occasions two open accounts for myself and the kids. The wait was minimal both times, and we were able to take care of everything we needed. The follow up by the rep could have been a little bit better which is why we won’t give 5 stars. Will review again after we spend more time with this credit union.

If you need a checking account do not come here. So fed up with their resistance to hire staff. Lines are always at the door with 2 workers who you can see hate their job. I have to say the best is Martha works fast and is always kind. How the hell can you not withdraw your own money. News flash you don’t know before hand when there is an emergency. Hire more staff!

Worst bank ever!!! You cannot withdraw your money more than $ 300 without telling them in advance first even though it is your money. So if you have a need for your money forget it. Additionally, the staff don’t know how to manage the influx of people they get. I hate this bank!!! If you want to wait for 2 cashiers to take care of 50 people in front of you with the line circling around this good forsaken bank be my guest. I would steer clear!!!

if youre seeking a mortgage or an auto loan this credit union is the best. i got my mortgage with them last year and a great rate too. their attention to details and low fees and their level of customer service is exemplary. i recently just bought a car on a sunday, and took it home after a down payment telling the dealer i refuse their financing at 8.9 and would get my own right away. on monday afternoon i got that loan from water and power community credit union and the manager there was so concerned the dealership might try to lock me into their financing-​that she drove my payoff check over to them that night and got me a receipt that my new car was paid off! i love this credit union, its the best thing i ever did, going with them!..

Great credit union to be a member of. Now in days with other bank fees and services, this is the place to be. Free checking and friendly service.

Got a loan for a Toyota Tacoma. Things seemed to go okay with them until I paid the loan off. Then ensued a six month battle until I finally had a lawyer draw up a letter to them demanding they surrender the title. I was never given a reason for why they would not surrender the title, they simply did not surrender it until threatened. Seems like a fairly idiotic way to do business, what on earth good did it do them to hold onto the title? I did get a letter in writing stating I had paid the loan in full (at that time, months and months ago) and I used a copy of this to threaten them legally. Thanks for costing me $ 250.00 in legal fees just to get you to surrender what isn’t yours, in the world most of us have to live in, we call that kind of customer handling immoral.
UPDATE: Found out much later they sold my loan to another company, so they were unable to give me my title as they no longer had it. Legal or not, that sounds like the sort of behavior most people frown at.
