My boys Alan and Leon started learning Japanese at the Valley Gakuen. My kids are native Japanese. They can read and write hiragana just a little. I teach them once a week, but it’s not enough. So, I decide to find a good not too expensive Japanese school. And today was a first day. Hope my boys will write and read Japanese soon.早く日本語を覚えましょ!

My 7-year-old daughter is in her third year attending Valley Gakuen. It’s not fancy, but we love it. The classes are small and the teaching staff are very dedicated. I think they’re all native speakers. But they’re sticklers — if your kid isn’t ready to move on to the next class, they don’t go. The school year runs from July to May(1 month off). Class is almost every Saturday from 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. I don’t recommend bringing a child here until they’ve been through kindergarten. High school students can get credit towards foreign language classes. Parents are expected to participate in the Parent Teacher Association. The neighborhood seems a little sketchy, but parents act as security monitors while class is in session each Saturday.
