Ramjet Rear End Repair

Bought a truck from a private owner who had the rear end done by Ramjet in ¹⁰⁄₂₀₁₄. The rear differential went out ¹¹⁄₂₀₁₅. I took it to a different shop since they didn’t want to cover it and found out it was installed incorrectly. It cost me $ 2k to get it fixed.

Eddie is the man. I co-​own an auto repair shop in Tujunga that has outsourced many work to these guys. Eddie is always honest, thorough, and very reasonably priced. He warranties all of his work, however, we’ve never had to had any warranty honored because we honestly have never had any problems with his work. I should add that he gets right to work once you give him the okay. The longest he’s ever taken to rebuild a differential for us has been two days.
Throughout the three years we’ve been sending him our differentials, we as well as our customers have always been very happy with his work. On many occasions, he’s given us free tear down estimates (we bring him differentials already removed), and has never pressured us into authorizing work. Sometimes we have to wait up to a week to get an ‘okay’ from our customers while they figure out finances, and he is always patient and professional. There have been a few times we’ve requested to stop by to take photos of gear wear to show a customer who is on the fence, and he’s never hesitated to say «head on down, no problem.»
Quality work done by a true and honest professional. Trust him completely.

Took my truck there to have my rear end rebuilt. He beat the other local competitor’s prices by a couple hundred dollars. The owner took the time to show me my old parts and what was wrong with the rear end.

Excellent service, came here to switch my stock 2.73 gears to 4.10s on my 2013 roush mustang.
Originally quoted me good price on the phone but after the work was done, he told me a price $ 100 more than what we discussed. Since I only brought what we talked about in cash, he took it.
Did a decent job, slight gear whine for first couple hundred miles which didn’t happen when I eventually switched out the 4.10s to 3.73s couple of months later at a different shop. But all in all, a 4 star service, and definitely reasonable prices

Eddie and his crew at Ramjet are hands down the best in the business. I had them put a Eaton posi carrier and new 3.73 gear set in my 03 Silverado about eight years ago. They had it done the same day for a great price. 100,000 hard miles later I had them rebuild the diff with new bearings, posi clutches and seals. They had it done same day again for a fair price. Eddie is very knowledgeable and honest. I am a customer for life. I would recommend them to anyone in need rear end work !!

I was referred to Eddie at Ramjet Rear End Repair, because he had a reputation of turning around the car very quickly and doing great job for a very fair price. Eddie installed 3.55 gears in the back of my road race Mustang, as well as rebuilt the clutches in the limited slip differential. All this was done before lunch, I was very impressed with the quality of work, and the differential performed like a champ at the next event, and ever since. If I ever decide to refresh the clutches again, or change the final drive ratio, you better believe I’m coming back!

After much research to find a place to fix my trucks rear end I found Ram Jet Rear End repair shop. I took my 97 Dodge Ram 1500 to Eddie after it was in an accident that broke off the passenger rear axle. I made an appointment and once I got there with my truck he put it on a lift and tore it apart within minutes. He explained to me what was damaged and offered me a seat to watch him rebuild it. I wish I could have stayed but I had someone pick me up. The following day I stopped by to pick up my truck and I was impressed by his quality of work and reasonable price. This place is awesome and Eddie is a true professional and trust worthy person. I look forward to referring friends and family to this shop. His quote was right on he money. Make sure to make an appointment he is very busy and famous for his quality work.

The best! Took my highly modified gt86 to these guys to install 4.88 gear sets. I’m very picky about my cars. One word, outstanding crew. Very hospitable, courteous, and love the attention they put into their work. My car is still on the rack but I’m obviously happy enuff to leave them 5 stars mid work;).

Recently took my 2004 GTO here for a rebuild. Drives like new and was finished in no time. Even came with a 1 year warranty. Eddie is honest and genuinely takes pride in his work. Plus, you won’t find more reasonable prices anywhere.
Most don’t have the experience to do this type of work. This is where the dealers and other shops farm jobs out to.

I made an appointment Tuesday to drop off my truck Thursday morning for a re-​gear, I went from 4.10’s to 4.88’s in my Silverado. I had all the parts to do the job, so I just needed someone who knew what they were doing to do the actual install. These guys know differentials!!! That’s just about all they do! The owner, Eddie is a great guy. He had no problem with installing parts I brought (some places are weird about that) and they got the job done that day. I called around before going with Ramjet, and 4 Wheel Parts wanted $ 550 for the same job, here I paid just over $ 300 including all fluids.

I wanted to upgrade the rear gears in my 87 mustang and my mechanic no longer does them so he recommend Eddie at Ramjet Rear End Repair. Eddie hooked it up my car feels alive again and I’m very happy with the work they did and would definitely recommend this place.

Eddie runs a solid and honest business. This is without a doubt one of the best places in San Fernando to have rear end work done. Very pleased with his service and work. Do not be detoured by his location or how his shop looks at first sight. You will notice a massive dump yard that’s wall to wall of differentials, that’s all this guy does, and he’s done a whole lot of them. Just ask Mr Jay Leno.

Ramjet installed rear gear on my truck. Manager Eddie takes pride in the work of his shop and explained to me how he likes to personally make sure each job that goes through his shop is done properly. Eddie even provided a seat so that I can watch the installation from start to finish as long as I keep a safe distance for insurance regulations. After the installation, Eddie drove my truck and allowed me come with him for a final road test drive to make sure the gears did not whine (indicative of an improper installation). Sure enough the gears did not make any noise. Overall the whole process was a smooth transaction. I would recommend a friend to this shop.

One year later and my rear axle is still just as good as the day I rolled out of Ram Jet.

Tony at Silverlake Auto suggested I take my 1973 Ford Bronco to Eddie at Ramjet and I’m glad I did. The only bad thing about going to Ramjet is that you will probably never need to take your car there again. They are as good as it gets. This is the place that repair shops go to to get their rear differential repaired. Ramjet does not advertise. They get their clients by word of mouth. If you’re fortunate enough to hear about them, then don’t hesitate to use them for your repair. They completely rebuilt my rear differential for $ 500 and had it finished in just over a day.
I waited about 2 months and a few hundred miles to write this review to give a valid account of Ramjet’s craftsmanship. The rear differential is super smooth and doesn’t leak a drop. If in another 40 years my rear differential needs new bearings, I will go to Ramjet. That is if the DMV lets an 80 year old keep his license.

The shop is located in a rather amusing area of the valley. Do NOT let that be a turn off. Yes it’s heavy industry populated but these guys do AWESOME WORK.
They have extremely FAIR pricing and are quick. They even do on the spot checks and repairs.
I took my car to them when I had suspicions about another shops work on my gears. Turns out the other shop let my car out the door with missing parts! Granted the parts were used and I provided them, but the fact that they completed the install without letting me know about the missing parts is insane. Let the customer know and charge them for them! Don’t let them leave with a broken and potentially dangerous rear-​end!
Ram Jet fixed all of these issues and even salvaged some of my parts for re-​use. VERY PLEASED WITH RAM JET! Will do all and any future work with them! Be sure to ask for Eddie.
