Great neighborhood bar. HUGE beer selection and the best burgers in town. Friday nights you will enjoy their sassy bartender Glen, along with a nice crowd of many types of people. Good food, good beer, fair prices. Best bar in Sun Prairie.

Beer selection at Eddie’s is hands down the best in the SP area. I believe it even bests the selection of almost all bars in the city of Madison as well. Pool table and dart board are a plus. If you’re looking for a burger and a couple of great beers this is absolutely the place to go in SP. The only downfall is the lack of seating, IMO.

Eddie’s is a solid neighborhood bar. Great beers, burgers, and service with a pool table and some dart boards. I was really surprised by comments of rude staff. We’ve been stopping in for years every few months, and have always had great service from the same guys, Glenn and Gabe. Both are friendly dudes, and knowledgeable about beers(I always let them pick my beer for me– I just tell them what I’m in the mood for, and they surprise me.) The burgers are great, their kitchen area just isn’t big enough to do much more. This is my favorite bar in downtown SP.(there is parking behind the building)

Awesome, awesome, awesome! This place has a great atmosphere, excellent menu choices, and wonderful service. Although it is downtown Sun Prairie, there is plenty of parking around for you and a new date. Try the grilled chicken sandwich with chipotle mayo and waffle fries. You’ll love every bite.

Decent place for an ale. A lot of different beers on hand. A notch above a hole in the wall bar but nothing spectacular.

Met family and friends today at Eddies for lunch. The last time we attempted this it was terrible. Well they didn’t disappoint again. The burgers were burnt, dry and over cooked. The ff were under cooked and tasteless. I ordered the chicken cordon blue and it was dry, over cooked and tasteless. A particular person cooking was also cooking the last visit and we will not be returning. I’m not sure what’s happened because we used to love getting burgers from Eddies. Looking for a new Sunday burger joint

Stopped in for the first time on a Saturday night. Place was relatively full with most of the tables and bar stools taken. This place is known for its beer selection and I was not disappointed, great variety of local, regional, and national microbrews. Some imported beers are available as well. If you are looking for BMC(BudMillerCoors) go somewhere else as I don’t think they serve it here. The closest to that style that I saw was Corona. Most of the customers were middle aged or better and that was reflected in the classic rock music coming out of the speakers. The bartender was very energetic moving quickly to take care of everyone. She was also knowledgable in the different beer styles when asked. A younger customer came up and said that his Spotted Cow didn’t taste right, she replaced it with something else he might like. She tasted some Spotted Cow to make sure it was good, I think the customer was not used to beers that are not BMC. The burgers are really good too, 1⁄3 or ½ pound hand pattied on a quality Kaiser bun. The deep fried apps are bought in frozen. Not sure if they batter there own fish on Fridays or not but it would be awesome if they used one of the good beers on tap to make a beer batter! Anyway, overall… clean, great beer selection, very good burgers, attentive bartender, older crowd, fun.

I really like eddies. Their beer selection is the best that I’ve found in the Madison area. The food overall is probably sub par, HOWEVER the burgers are awesome. If you want a burger and a couple of beers this is the place to go. I’ve been looking for a similar place in town but have had no such luck. Oh, the best bartender by far is Glenn, all others are just average. Good people, awesome beer, and great burgers. Keep expectations in line and you will not be disappointed!

If I wanted frozen fish stick I would have stayed at home in front of the TV. Nothing hand battered or fresh, far cry from a real fish fry as advertised on their sidewalk sign.

Great selection of beer! The service could be better. My husband felt a little ignored by the bartender. Especially since it wasn’t that busy. But the atmosphere was nice and beer tasty… so that made up for it. Hopefully next time it’ll be more welcoming. Overall a good experience.

This is a small local place has seating for about 38. They have a great selection of beer. They also have two smaller tvs(32″) and one larger tv(50″). I will reiterate that the beer selection is more than reasonable, but that’s the only positive I can think of. My wife ordered a mixed drink with a wedge of lime. The lime was brown and smelled horrible. The cheese curds were not bad, but they weren’t memorable at all. The are lightly battered and served hot with a side of ranch. They are a bit greasy, but again not bad just not good either. They left me saying, «meh». I ordered a chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken appeared to be precooked and frozen and was simply warmed back up. It was served on a kaiser bun, which did have nice flavor. The wilted lettuce took away from it completely though. The plain mayonnaise was needed but it’s complete lack of flavor just took away from this already below average sandwich. The French fries were definitely frozen and then deep fried. Another instance of they weren’t bad but they weren’t good. I don’t like giving out poor reviews, but I think people also need to know what to expect. Come here if you want to get a beer and well that’s about it.

Terrible service. They screwed up food order so after waiting 25 minutes, they apparently gave our food to someone else, we waited another 20 minutes. No apologies or anything. They do have a good selection of beer but that is about it… avoid this place at all costs due to terrible service.

Excellent beer selection! Always 10+ beers on tap that change up frequently and hundreds of different bottles to choose. The food is typical bar food, but it’s a pretty mean burger. I recommend this place for a chill, laid back type of night.

Really not bad. Kind of reminds me of Karben4(and they serve their beer!), but with a much more inviting ambience. Good beer selection. My hair wasn’t blown back or anything, but I wouldn’t mind going back.

Whenever I can check out a «new to me» Sun Prairie local establishment I get excited. So, I was excited to try Eddie’s. My co-worker and I went there for a working lunch on a Tuesday at 12:30. There was plenty of seating available. They had an extensive and impressive beer selection. I will go back for that. The atmosphere was sports bar meets pub. This week is Restaurant week in Sun Prairie so I ordered the advertised special of the day — a BLT on Texas Toast. The toast was dry and I could have used more bacon. My mayo came in a packet. Overall, I was not impressed with the food. The service and atmosphere were fine. The beer selection stellar. I would recommend going for a beer.

Googled restaurants for lunch in Sun Prairie on our way back from Madison. Saw that there were many on Main Street so we decided to just cruise down and see what looked interesting. So glad that we did. If you’re looking for a cozy classic pub with an awesome beer list AND tasty basic food this is the place. Place was pretty full with what looked like local regulars and even though we were out of towners, we felt right at home and welcome. Even though the menu said order drinks and food at the bar our server came to our table was super friendly and made us feel right at home. I ordered a bowl of Gumbo and hand battered cheese curds — hubby order the Big Eddy burger. Lunch with drinks came to a whopping $ 18 and was super. Would definitely go back next time we’re driving through Sun Prairie.

The pork tenderloin sandwich was good with sweet baby rays bbq… but the shrimp was better. The fries are closer to shoestring style, not a fan. Had the Stella Artois cider, pretty decent.

I am new to Sun Prairie and like to support local businesses but I won’t be going back to Eddie’s. Like other reviewers here I am also flabbergasted by the rudeness of the staff. I tried Eddie’s twice and both times no one acknowledge that I was even in the room. The second time was with an out of town guest, we were two of about 6 people total in the place, the bartender looked at us a few times but never acknowledged us or asked us if we wanted anything. Maybe they don’t have table service. If that is the case hang a sign or have the courtesy to tell patrons they need to come to the bar, we are not mind readers. I think they call it the ‘hospitality industry’ — don’t bother with these inhospitable clowns.
