This place has got a little bit of everything– from kayaks to sporting goods to kitchen-​ware to clothing. It far exceeded my expectations. They have a great selection of items for (mostly) great prices.

This place has it all, guns fishing rods & reels and all the tools you’ll ever need to fix your house, a very knowledgeable staff and friendly cashiers make this place a step above most of the hardware stores I’ve been to so I’ll be coming back

Sumter, SC
First time I went in there was today. Within 50 feet of the entrance I was asked if I needed help with anything. I was just looking around so proceeded to walk down the aisles. Another 50 feet, a different person asked if I needed help. I was shocked since you don’t even get this type of greetings at Lowes! They have everything you would expect from an Academy or Dicks Sporting Goods. Of course, they are on a smaller scale but I will be back for sure!

For fishing gear and guns, this is about as good as it gets in this town. I just found a reel for 50 bucks off normal price! Also, handgun prices are very reasonable.

Simpson’s is an ACE Hardware franchise but they don’t stop there. Like Jordan said they offer a little bit of everything in the sporting world and in some genres they have it all covered (like football & softball/​baseball) including screen printing, but then in others they’re severely lacking. I went in trying to find a new internal frame pack to take hiking and all they had was a little backpack.
They sell Under Armor stuff and some Columbia, but have a decent selection on shoes/​boots.

This is more than a hardware store, it’s like a Lowe’s, Sports Authority, and Bass Pro Shops all combined into one large store which is about the size of a large grocery store.
Kayaks on display out front enticed me to venture inside. But, what kind of store sells kayaks, but no paddles? I thought the selection inside was odd, hardware and home improvement supplies on the right, boats and fishing equipment in the center, clothing and sports equipment to the left, guns and hunting supplies to the back, and then, outdoor furniture on the patio.
Simpson’s carries the largest selection of hunting and fishing supplies in Sumter, but also carries something for everyone. A gift section in the front of the store contains housewares and cooking accessories.
