I am curious on how all the bad reviews got deleted! I went to write a review and saw 4 bad reviews about how bad the sound guys were Saturday night(which he was) went to show my spouse and they were all deleted. Not only was the venue too small, no one was checking tickets or fans at the door, no security when the kids got rowdy and even after the headlining band received no help setting up(big resistance from the ONE guy who should be helping) they let all the bands go over In their set times and cut off the headlining band 4 songs in.(and VERY rude and unprofessional about it) when the crowd was chanting to let them play, the sound guy guy told one girl to shut the F#%k up and proceeded to yell out foul language with all those teens around. When the band stopped playing ¾ of the attendees left(most of them trailed up to an hour to see these guys play) I know I did… I hope that they grow from their mistakes and make this a place bands can be appreciated while they play their work, since as most of you know there is little to no places to play in the south end. if u have low expectations in regards to a venue, dip down lower and it might seem more realistic

Cool local place for music, not much for room though

The Live Room is a great new All Ages Venue. It is hard for underage bands to find good places to play and this is going to be a busy place. There are a lot of underage bands with fans just waiting for a place to play. This really is just a warehouse but they have built a fairly big stage and have a loud sound system. The stairs to the stage are limiting so it makes it a bit difficult during band changes. There is a green room for the band, a small snack counter, and some very clean and new bathrooms but other than that, it is just a big room in an industrial park. A kitchen and a bar would really help this place but the kids don’t seem to mind. My son’s band, Innocent Bystander, played their last week and had one of the best nights of their life. I am not just talking about the band; all their friends that showed up to be in the mosh pit are still talking about what a great time they had. We expect to have many more shows. The sound guys had some troubles and the bands weren’t super happy about how the sound man controlled the mix but that was lost in the crowd having such a good time. It would be nice for this to become a regular spot for local bands and have the owners help promote some of the shows online and in the newspapers. This place is new enough that I can’t fault the place for what it doesn’t have yet. It would be great to have some raised seats in the back for those of us not interested in slam dancing next to the stage. But that is not what this place is for. It is designed as a place where underage kids can see music and it is doing that job just fine.
