The Black Dog is a gem among other coffee shops in the panhandle. Unlike it’s competitor’s in area especially Lost Dog, the coffee beans are roasted and ground right in sight of every person that has ever walked in, the quality is superb. The tea is of quality as well and this is coming from a loose leaf connisuer. I make Black Dog espresso blend in my little old fashioned espresso maker and it has a rich divine taste every time.

I have been drinking Black Dog for a few years now and boy, I have NOT been disappointed! The Quality Control is exceptional, never have a poor cup of coffee. Not at home and not when I get a brewed cup from a local establishment.
Now I hear Black Dog Coffee is opening a shop at the Bardane Marketplace (near Charles Town DMV). WOW

Best coffee I’ve ever tasted! I used to be a fan of Starbucks but after a few years, realized I was paying more for the name than the coffee itself. I went on a search for better tasting coffee. I ended up settling for a generic brand that was just OK until a neighbor turned me on to Black Dog a few months ago. Without question, it is THE BEST I’ve ever had; even better than Starbucks used to be! The prices are also more reasonable than my previous favorite and ordering is convenient. No more store bought brands for me.
