Converted small church, so every seat has a good view, but, as Shakespeare said, «the play’s the thing” – and this is a consistently solid repertory group, featuring interesting recent plays for about $ 35 – with discounts usually available on . Not up to the average level of George Street Playhouse or Paper Mill, but usually worth considering. Very nice staff. Also offers acting/improve classes for adults/kids.

I can only assume from the architecture that this intimate theater used to be a church. I went there this past weekend to see a friend perform. While I had an aisle seat, I found it difficult to see around the person in front of me. In addition to being short, there is no downward slope to the rows of seating at Dreamcatcher. The only other comment I have has to do w/the restroom in the lounge area. It’s a single restroom with a large window. The lower half of the window is frosted, but the upper half isn’t…That wouldn’t be much of a problem if there wasn’t a mirror on the opposite wall. The theater has a three story house as a neighbor and the third floor window can see the reflection in the mirror, therefore the person on the toilet. I admit I was disturbed by that. Also, not sure if this is true for all performances and it wasn’t a big deal for me, but when we went to Dreamcatcher on Saturday night, the audience was 75% adults 55+.

Hard to find because of lack of adequate outside lighting. «Easy to miss» as per previous reviewer, the whole atmosphere is that they are not exactly welcoming outsiders.

amazing theater. try and visit it if you can, the outside is quite low key so easy to miss, but you must visit! apparently new to town, a hidden gem!
