Great food and great service. The Greek salad and turkey sandwiches are awesome. On a recent visit to Summerville from out of state, we ate here three times.

Some of the best service I ever had. Soon as we walked through the door the manager gave us attention from the time we got there till we left. It was our first time and he made sure we will be back. Gave us free drinks, and free Mac and cheese which was awesome. The food was great, we will be back for sure.

It was a great experience. I ordered online and went to pick up the food. It was done on time and the food was great.

I could eat here every day. I always order a half chicken salad sandwhich and either a side salad or cup of soup. I love the giant cups they give you when you order a drink. I have quite the collection since they will hold up after many washings.
The manager, Donnie, is awesome. Top-​notch customer service and always smiling. Be sure to join their e-​club because they send you a nice birthday present each year!

They offer a huge variety of different items and flavors! I can’t see anyone going there and not able to fine something to make their tummy happy. I had a soup/​salad combo. I was full and pleased. Great afternoon eats!

Its nice that Newt has lasted this long in Summerville. Maybe the country folk here in town like to keep there overalls fitting by eating here.
My daughter loves the pizza more than anything. I love the breadsticks. So while I might not be crazy about the food but the staff is nice. I mean the foods probably not bad, I just need a little more unhealthy in my life.

I went here for the first time today and was glad we did. Immediately we were greeted and briefed on how they do business, which was good considering we had no idea.
Friendly and helpful staff. Food was tasty as well. I got the Newerks Q which I recommend. You have to order a drink separately but it comes in a huge refillable plastic cup with free refills in case your super thirsty! I don’t have any complaints for my first visit and will definitely be back.

This was our first time here, but it won’t be our last. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Amanda explained the whole menu and how things worked at Newk’s. The food was delicious and the portions were huge! My husband and I split a salad and still had lots left over to bring home. Their corn and crab chowder was delicious! Everything sounded so good… I have to go back to try some new items.

Do not sleep on this place. Driving by it you would never think that this place would serve some of the best salads in Summerville. Yes I said salads. I’ve tried almost all of them and they’re all great… and huge! They will definitely fill you up.

I had never even heard of this place until my friend suggested we meet there for dinner to celebrate her daughter’s birthday. I wish we had one in West Ashley! When you walk in, there is a large menu on the wall and you order at the counter. My only complaint is that the front of the place is not very big and we found ourselves getting in the way, trying to read the menu and decide, as more and more people crowded in (and others were doing the same). My suggestion is to check out the menu and decide before you get there!
Once we decided, we made our drinks and found a place to sit. I was surprised at how big the dining room was. Two perks — they have a separate door/​counter for pick-​ups and they have a condiment table that includes everything you could think of! Our food arrived quickly and everything was delicious. My friend goes there quite a bit and said everything she’s ever had has been amazing. Her daughter always gets the mac and cheese (which I tasted) and is LEGIT. I got a half Italian sub and a half Cesar salad — the salad serving was large and delish — the sub was one of the best I’ve had! It was toasted and spicy and so delicious (I wanted more).
On Wednesday nights, a lady walks around to tables and make balloon animals, which my friend’s daughter was very happy about — she was super pleased with her elephant!

I like their food and service. They are pretty quick and the place always seems clean. It’s always spacious too so I can keep my messy toddler away from other guests.

This is the best «fast food» place around. I’m not sure it’s fair to call it a «fast food» place, but it is. Salads, sandwiches and pizza are really good. I love the condiment bar where you can load up on roasted garlic cloves, which I’ve never seen at a restaurant before. Try the Alabama White Sauce on the side if it doesn’t come on your sandwich.

I was visiting the area and my cousin suggested this restaurant. She lives in the area and says she goes a lot by herself during the week. It was packed today so that made me think it must be good. You order at the counter like a deli or cafeteria, but then a server delivers your food to the table.
I was not disappointed at all. I had Chicken Tortilla Soup and ½ chicken salad sandwich. I really enjoyed both items I had. I have to say I did not eat a lot of the bread, but what I tasted was yummy! My cousin had Lobster & Crab Bisque and ½ chicken salad sandwich which she truly enjoyed as well. Plentiful portions as the sandwiches are served on french bread.
I heard the people behind me LOVE the dessert they had and when I peaked I think it was the chocolate cake. I was too full for dessert, but peaking around they all looked good.
The restaurant also has a grab and go section which I think is great when you are on the run.
I was impressed that although it was crowded no one pushed us along. My cousin and I were able to sit there for a while and catch up. I would definitely try this restaurant again if I was in the area.

Customer service is always on point. Super kid friendly. (Kids eat free Wednesday’s) If you’ve never been you have to try the Newks Q and the Pimento Mac n cheese.

Pleasant lunch experience. The employees were readily available and personable and the food was great. Will definitely be going back.

I really wish i could like this place.
I’ve ate here twice and both times I was so confused as to why it’s so popular.
1. The sandwiches we ordered had 4 pieces of balled up meat on there and huge globs of mayo. Awful.
2. The salad dressing that they brag about is so tasteless and pathetic. Literally a cup of oil with spices sprinkled in. Inedible.
3. The desserts taste like they are from a middle school bake sale.
Just sad. Not going back.

I reserve the right to revise this rating to five stars after future visits. Newk’s is a nice twist on the «tween» restaurant. A «tween» is what I call a restaurant that is not fast food but not really sit down either. You’ll order at a counter and have your food delivered. I ordered a ½ shrimp po’boy and ½ simple salad. The salad was superb; a wide variety of crisp veggies. The shrimp po’boy was a little on the bland side, which is my reason for less than five stars. The cocktail sauce spiced it up a little, but I wouldn’t order it again. I’m anxious to try some of the other items on the menu, as I think Newk’s has a good thing going.

My husband and I had a long day trip to the beach and heading home we were pretty exhausted and hungry. We figured stopping for sandwiches would be the fastest and most convenient solution to our dinner needs and decided to try Newk’s — an eatery we’d seen many times but never took a chance on before.
I have to say, I’m very glad we did! It is a chain deli, but the food was absolutely fantastic! I had the pesto chicken sandwich — chicken, pesto, bell peppers and goat cheese — with a half Caesar salad. Husband also had a caesar salad but with Mac and Cheese instead.
Before I go on about the service, I have to say that my pesto chicken sandwich was amazing! They didn’t skimp on the goat cheese but I didn’t feel like they went overboard either. And I think the peppers were roasted because they were so tender and flavorful! The salad was a simple caesar but the lettuce was very fresh and came with shreds of parm and some croutons. The biggest surprise though was the Mac and Cheese. It wasn’t exactly the greatest gourmet offering but considering it’s a chain deli claiming that the mac and cheese is made with specialty cheeses, it was a delightful surprise to find that the mac and cheese was well flavored.
The staff there was very quick to take AND fill our order. The lovely lady who took our order was also very nice and patient with my exhausted and scattered state of mind.
When our order was ready, they brought it out to us and we headed home to enjoy our dinner.
One thing we spotted on the way out that I wish we had noticed sooner (there’s a sign above that door when you walk in) is that they offer «Grab and Go» sandwiches, salads, and select sides. You just go up to the cooler, grab what you want and check out at grab and go register (it’s on the other side of the restaurant from the main registers).
I’m definitely coming by here again especially now that I know about the grab and go!

Huge fan of Newk’s. We’ve tried the sandwiches, pizza’s, soups and salads. Everything has been beyond good.
I’ve always loved their little condiment bar set up. The kids love the breadstick packages and bread and butter pickles. They also have roasted garlic, jalapeños and some other condiments.
The pizza’s are always cooked perfectly. A nice crisp crust, but still has that hand tossed feeling. My husband and I usually share the BBQ chicken pizza and get a Caesar or Cobb salad (which are HUGE by the way). A perfect pair. Sometimes we opt for a sandwich, the chicken salad is delicious and I love the Newk’s bread it is served on. My husband’s favorite is the grilled steak or club. The white bean and kale, tomato bisque and chicken noodle soups are all good options. I wasn’t fond of the corn and crab chowder or the lobster bisque, but to each their own. I’ve always loved their drink cups and their sweet tea.
Kids always go for pizza and they’re basically the size of a regular menu pizza folded in half, a good portion size for kiddos. They always manage to sneak in a brownie or rice krispie treat at the register, but my favorite is hands down — the strawberry cake!
Our family of 4 can eat here for under $ 30, which makes it affordable. Even more so on kids eat free nights which they have often. Sign up for their program and you get points upon check-​ins and notifications of their events.

I had never been into, nor had I ever heard of Newk’s. So when I saw it on a shopping trip to the Target in Azalea Square, I was very curious.
It was love at first bite! When you walk in there is a big menu on the wall. They mainly offer soups, sandwiches, salads, and pizza. I have been to Newk’s several times now and have ordered several different sandwiches. My two faves (so far) are the Chicken Pesto and the «Newk’s Q».
You pick you food from the wall menu, order and pay at the counter, they give you a number, and you seat yourself.
Everything is made FRESH TO ORDER. So while you are waiting for your food there is a condiment bar filled with lots of yummy goodies like roasted garlic, capers, bread sticks, etc… this is my favorite part of the Newk’s: I love the pickle bar!
The servers are super nice and very helpful. I was in today with a broken arm and one of the servers offered to pour my water, and grab me a few condiments so I wouldn’t have to do it myself.
My only complaint (and this will not seem like much of a complaint to most), they only have one size of soft drink and it’s HUGE: Like 32oz huge. I know, most people drink that much soda these days, but I just want a small cup. I know-​not a «real» complaint. So I always just get water.
So to sum up, if you are in Summerville, and looking for awesome quality food, freshly made, at a reasonable price– Newk’s !!!
