Very Friendly staff, nice continental breakfast, and close to many restaurants. The hotel is older so it needs an update, but the staff keeps it clean. There are smoking rooms so if that’s a problem try to get one far away from those. Overall –for the price– nice. If the chain updates the rooms it’d be perfect!

We stopped in Summerville for the night on our way to Charleston and stayed here. While the room was nice and the staff friendly, the one weird thing was to get to our room on the 2nd floor, the staff pointed us to the stairs. We never did get a chance to find out if there was an elevator but lugging our luggage up a flight of stairs wasn’t the best. The room/hallways, which was non-smoking, also had a bit of stale odor like they couldn’t quite get all the cigarette smoke out, but it didn’t really bother us. Other than that, the breakfast in the morning had a good spread. While we didn’t use it, the pool area did look very nice. We would definitely stay here again if we are stopping in Summerville on our way to Charleston, but would probably see if we could request a first floor room though.

I’ve stayed here twice in the past week while visiting relatives. The first stay was great — room was clean, inexpensive, and comfortable. The second stay was a little disappointing, albeit only a week later. The room was musty, the toilet broken, the ceiling and carpet stained, the the smell of smoking rooms was seeping into ours. The hotel was still a great value and good location, so I’d not hesitate to stay here agin.

After being booted from a Hampton Inn near Charleston(Mt Pleasant) we frantically called around trying to get a room for 4 people on the Saturday of Labor Day. When we called here the front desk agent, Shawn, was super helpful. They only had a single King room but he offered to make adjustments so we could fit. When we checked in he was very helpful and sweet. And had already placed the adjustments he agreed to make in the room. We passed him a few times getting items out of our car and going to and from dinner. Each time he checked on us and offered positivity. Before checking in we planned to cut our vacation short but after the amazing staff at this hotel we decided to stay the weekend here. Every staff member was kinda, friendly, and helpful. I am very happy we were able to stay here and will stay here again.

I already love Hampton Inns across the board and this was no different. Clean rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, all day coffee and free WiFi. there are few things in this world that I get excited about as free WiFi and all day free coffee. We were attending a wedding and there must have been 30 people for our party staying there. Everyone had an excellent time. That’s saying something!

Clean hotel with wonderful, helpful, professional staff. The hotel was exceptionally quiet although it was full when I stayed there. I’m not sure if all of the guests were just really quiet or if the rooms are well insulated. The room was large, with coffee and other amenities, internet is free and fast. It’s very close to freeways and centrally located.

The Hampton Inn in Summerville is a nice little hotel with a great friendly staff and clean rooms. I would stay here again if I ever needed to. It was a busy weekend when I stayed and I got stuck in a smoking room, but it wasn’t too bad. As soon as I got to my room after check-in the front desk called to make sure that everything was to my satisfaction; and it was. That night I ask the front desk for recommendations on where to go out in town and was referred to go to the downtown area; which was a very cute little downtown area with restaurants and bars all in walking distance.

The people running this hotel should get 5 stars. Very nice and welcoming. The hotel itself is clean and in good order but it is dated. The rooms we stayed in were fine but my sister in laws had a cigarette smell in it. The bed was decent, the tv good, and the shower worked perfect. The staff was extremely friendly. I am not sure if thats because I am from Miami and everyone in SC is friendly or they were just overly friendly lol.

My little daughter and I stayed there 3 nights over Easter(paid $ 75 per night double beds room). I did some extensive research beforehand looking for a safe, clean and moderately priced hotel for our Spring Break Charleston vacation. Everything in or near the city was either too expensive or in a questionable neighborhood. The hotel is right off of I-26 at exit 199. You’re 20 minutes from downtown Charleston, Charles Towne Landing, Hunley submarine and about half an hour from the plantations and the beaches(we went to Folly Beach). If you drive the scenic routes(i.e. Hwy 61) the time just flies, it’s so beautiful! The room was squeaky clean and the bed extremely comfortable. I did appreciate the assortment of pillow from fluffy light to rock solid(only my husband could enjoy!) The A/C however gave me fits. It didn’t believe it needed to cool unless it was after 3PM(some sort of labor agreement I guess). No matter the setting it will just throttle along, just making(very loud) noise. But come evening and boy, oh boy! We had the Arctic in South Carolina! Once again I found myself getting up at night couple of times turning the thing on and off. The hearty breakfast(6 to 10AM, hallelujah I didn’t have to wake up with the chickens!) included Southern staples such as grits, eggs, omelets, sausage patties, hush-puppies and the usual selection of cereal, waffles, muffins, yogurt and fruits. The problem was not with the food(plenty) but with the(lack of) seating. Come morning you better send a scout ahead of time to hold a seat or you may as well pack stuff for the room. Good news the very friendly staff offered us breakfast bags and trays. Speaking of staff, one middle-age lady went above and beyond to make everybody and my daughter in particular feel welcome! She gave us daily treats, tips about local restaurants and hugs on demand. For her efforts alone I’ll definitely come again! Beware there are no elevators!!! Nearby is a pretty big shopping mall, many restaurants, a drive-thru Starbucks and even a Wal-Mart. Summerville is laid-back quaint little town. Watch your speed limit driving through the city, the cops were giving tickets left and right. Hampton Inn is definitely on my lodging list for my next trip to Charleston.
