Accent on Wine

What a lovely place. This is not a traditional wine/​beer bar. It is very casual, people can walk around and look for that certain bottle. I spent some time reading labels, searching for a special bottle. With Karin and Kathryn, we had a wonderful lunch.
The food is a combination of cheese, meats, pates, small bites (delicious little canapes), bread, nuts and raisins. The food plates are beautifully presented. Everything we had was very tasty. I chose a Spanish Albarino, which the staff paired with 2 Spanish cheeses. Delicious.
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. They enjoy talking about food, wine and beer. I was given some tastes of different wines.
The shop is quirky, it has different wine/​beer accessories. I bought a t-​shirt for the memory.
Summerville is about 20 minutes north of Charleston. However, at the request of the Charleston mayor, they opened a second ship in North Charleston.

We LOVE going to Accent on Wine. We only get to go about once a month for a date night but it is our favorite spot. The bartenders remember our favorite wines and are very knowledgeable about anything we ask!

Just all around wonderful. A large selection of wine and cheese. Both always great. The staff is knowledgeable and always great.

Customer service is top notch, I arrived a few minutes before they opened. Not only did they let me come in but they helped to pick out the perfect bottle of wine for my event and a candle that was once a wine bottle. It was fantastic. The environment is beautiful, cozy and welcoming. Cannot wait to go back and sample some of the food.

Wonderful place. Atmosphere was great, servers were very polite but due to the business serve can be slow. My friend tried the $ 10 wine tasting which included 7 wines. My friend said each tasting was smooth and well picked by the staff. We got the largest platter ($ 32) which included 3 meats, 3 cheeses, nuts, cranberries, and French bread. All of the food was delicious. I also had a glass of Chardonnay ($ 10) that was very smooth. I would definitely come back, it is also a great place for a first date.

This place is a great place to meet friends and relax after a hard day. I have gone here several times and I am always impressed.

AMAZING customer service! IF ONLY OTHER Summerville shops could do the same! The staff is patient and helpful! Reminds me of Europe! Great wine and food. Great for date night or an afternoon sip with a girlfriend! At lunch they serve ‘mini” sandwiches for a great price and served quickly! The staff are always and I mean always friendly! I’ve stopped in with other moms with kids (a European thing) the serve my kids soda/​Sprite and the sandwiches… they treat us wonderfully! Kid friendly but only you know your kids where they can handle being around a lot of glass filled liquid! ;) Take at own risk!

I will always give this place 5 stars. Everything from the food, the wine selection and the staff is spot on. I love coming here!

I am moving to Summerville soon and have visited a few times and every time I do I always stopped by Accent and have always gotten fantastic service accompanied with amazing food and wine!!! Once I move to Summerville I will definitely be coming here often :)

I really enjoy Accent on Wine. The staff there is wonderful. As soon as I walk in there I have some dude in a bowtie asking me what I am looking for. Personally I have not sat down and tried their charcuterie board neither have I had any wine but any time I want to go get some craft beer, they got what I want! I can’t wait to actually sit down there and spend a few hours drinking when I get a chance.

I moved to Summerville last September and this has been one of the best surprises on our town’s culinary map for me. Someone invited me there for lunch, and what a surprise!
They have a large selection of nice wines, but not being a day time drinker I only had water, which was fine with the staff.
But their selection of appetizers was not only large, but amazingly creative. The owner, who came here from France 20 some odd years ago, had a vast variety of sumptuous morsels for only a couple bucks each! Three of them were plenty for me.
They also pride themselves on their wines and beers and are also open for dinner as well as lunch. I can’t say anything about that as I have only been there that one time for lunch, but there is no question I’ll be back.
They have free wifi, and the atmosphere is warm and comfortable — more like a coffee house than a bar. And the owner was very friendly and welcoming. Good going! I am sure to be a regular.

This wine bar is truly wonderful. The atmosphere is very zen. The bartenders and the owner (whonis there often) are extremely knowledgable about everything from wine temperatures to pairings to preferences. I spent many a time whiling away a few hours with a girl friend. Absolutely highly recommended by myself.

Good friends introduced us to this little slice of heaven! A wine to suit all tastes and the beer selection thrills my husband. Staff is super friendly and KNOWLEDGEABLE — which is super important to me since I’m no wine connoisseur.

There is really not a bad time to enjoy Accent on Wine! Lunch, afternoon apéritif, dinner, after dinner… it’s all good! The owner and staff are all extremely knowledgable and passionate about wine. You can taste before buying, and the place has an on and off license so you can enjoy wine on the premises, and take a bottle home! I highly recommend the artisan cheese/​meat plates. There are many options available, and the lunch versions «lunch bites» really hit the spot. This is hands down one of my fave hangouts. Well done, Stephan, well done Summerville!

This place is perfect if you want to hang out in downtown Summerville and not want to go to the bars. Accent on Wine has a huge selection of wines that you can either get by the glass or by the bottle. I love their Pinotage! They also have a great charcuterie selection that is great for either a romantic dinner for 2 or for a party of 6. If you’re not a wine person, they have a wide variety of beers and champagne for you to enjoy. I love that everything you see on the shelves is available for purchase. It can get a little loud and crowded at times, but I think it adds to the charm of this place. I love going there and getting a nice bottle of white wine and sitting outside on a beautiful spring evening and hanging out with great friends. It’s all you need. Accent on Wine is definitely a place you should visit and frequent!

Went for lunch with our realtor and were incredibly impressed! The lunch is little bites of upscale cheeses and meats on crusty baguettes. Perfect for a light lunch; we each ate three little bites and it was perfect. The bartender/​owner? was awesome and helped me pick a nice red wine and beer for my company. I can’t wait to go back and try other wines. Now if they only had chocolate… ;)

Excellent atmosphere. Great wine selection and a cool and friendly staff. I have been here several times and have not been disappointed. Perfect for meeting up with friends or a great first stop for a date.

Such a wonderful place to go on a date or even alone.
Cheeses, Meats, Nuts, are all amazing. I have tried quite a bit.
Wine selection is great & they always help you pair it just right. The young man who works there is so friendly, helpful, & does a really great job. (not to mention, he is pretty cute)
The french man who owns it really seems to have a passion for wine & seems very friendly.
They have super cute wind-​up toys for table markers & the atmosphere is so warm & welcoming. I just love coming here!

Amazing! By far the BEST wine bar in the lowcountry. The bartenders are laid back and enjoy talking to their customers. The cheese is great and the prices beat everyone else. My favorite part about this bar is the down to earth attitude. This is the only wine bar in the area where I feel comfortable enough to ask for advice on a new wine. At all the other wine bars the waitresses and bartenders expect you to know exactly what you want, and they don’t want to help you find a new wine you might love. Here the bartenders are quick to ask which wines you like and suggest something new if you are feeling daring. Please check this place out, I promise you won’t regret it.

Absolutely outstanding wine shop. Tuesday tastings are fun with great variety. Cheese plates are delicious too. Service is fantastic!

This was a surprise on my latest visit to old dowtown Summerville. Great selection of wines and value wines. The micro brew section is also a standout. This is an important addition to an old town town that makes more and more strides each time I visit. Now… just a microbrew… please!!!
