I almost never drive by Yoder’s without stopping. They have a lot of hard-​to-​find items, like specialty, unusual, and organic grains, canning and cheese-​making supplies, and specialized «homestead oriented» kitchen supplies. Organic chia seeds, ground-​to-​order flour from your choice of several types of wheat, vegetable rennet, homemade baked goods… and thousands more things. The only other place near Hohenwald for these things is Cane Creek Market in Lobelville (farther away), and they do not have anywhere near the selection of grains and organics. And I almost always get a sandwich — decent size portion, homemade bread, and really cheap!

Stop here for a snack to try out Menonite and Amish baked goods. They have dried fruit, nuts, cheese, bread, pastries and various other goodies. They also have sandwiches and fried pies.
