After following the super 8 website to locate a hotel in Lake Charles, La.(off of prien rd, which i had stayed at in July) i reserved a room for friday the 12th of February, because my son had a karate tournament early saturday. When we arrived to the Prien rd location in Lake Charles, La. the desk clerk informed me that i did not have a reservation.(I did not have my work computer on me to check the conformation) She called the 2 other local Super 8’s to see if there was a mix up, unfortunately there was not. I asked her if she could check under my wyndam rewards number to see if somehow it was booked somewhere else(because i didnt want to pay for a night i didnt stay) she said she didnt have that capability. It was 9:30 pm so i asked for whatever they had and i received a smaller room than i reserved originally. we stayed the night and thought nothing of the obvious computer glitch… Until my credit card bill showed 2 charges, 1 for Prien Rd in Lake Charles, La. and one for Sulpher, Ok. I assured my wife that this would have to be taken care of since it was an obvious mistake on the super 8(Wyndahm properties chain). On the 17th of February i contacted someone at the 1800 number and thru a legnthy conversation he informed me that i should see a refund by the 23rd of feb… On Feb 29th i asked my wife if we had received a credit, we had not. I called the 1800 number again and gave them my case number #3614018, the gentelman then informed me that the GM of the Sulpher, Ok. location would not credit me back. Jokingly i asked the gentleman if he was serious. He was obviously reading from que cards because evry answer to my reply were the same and well scripted. He eventually transfered me to his supervisor, who after about 15 minutes of him saying it was my fault his website reserved me room 600 miles from where i wanted to stay and the fact that i actually paid for a nights stay 600 miles away, so there is no denying that it was a mistake that the reservation was made. When i informed him that no one i knew would ever stay at a wyndam property withoour hearing my story he said he would send me a refund for the $ 81.00 I was ok with that because i never used the services of the sulpher, Oklahoma location. Then he calls me back and says that he was infromed that they would not refund my money but apply 9000 points to my wyndham rewards card… It was only $ 81.00 the dollar amount means little to me it is the principals of the matter!!! CUSTOMERSERVICE !!! THISISWHY I USUALLYSTAYATHAMPTONINNS, who are owned by HILTON. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else…
