Taqueria Tepa

I came here on a Friday around noon. The place wasn’t busy at all. What inoticed immediately was the smell in the building. It smells like a bathroom inside! It’s really gross and un appetizing. I ordered the Chile relleno and an iced tea. The tea tasted like dirty water, not like tea at all! I returned it and just got water instead. The meal was ok. Just ok, noting to get excited about at all. I’ll probably stick to la cabana or alejandros in Fairfield. The portion was decent I just wasn’t a huge fan of the flavors, kinda bland over all.

This is an update. I still think that this is a great restaurant and something that you would find more in Mexico than in the US. The food is like something you would get off of a very good taco truck. Their fish tacos are absolutely wonderful and their prices are very good. We have been here several times and have never been disappointed. If you are expecting ambience like Chevy’s or Chipotle then you are going to the wrong restaurant.

This is another Suisun local’s secret. The food is outstanding and the price and service perfect. LOVE the fish tacos and the taco salad.

Came here 2 days ago with my hubby and kids after looking for a place to eat in downtown Suisun. We saw this place and Unilocaled it and it had good reviews so we took a chance and tried it. Hubby ordered carnitas enchiladas, kids ordered flour quesadilla with cheese and chicken taquitos, and I ordered my usual taqueria order of a super carne asada burrito. I was really wanting to like the place to get a burrito but when I took several bites into it, I felt it wasn’t juicy as I was hoping for. I didn’t see any crema/​sour cream and that’s why I kept biting into it because I know sometimes in other taquerias when they’re making burritos at a fast rate, the sour cream only ends up in one half of the burrito. It didn’t look like it at all. Hubby said to stop eating it so we can let them know. He told them and the girl came back and asked if I wanted the sour cream and cheese (because she also saw that was missing) on the side or the inside. Usually, the restaurant would immediately offer to make a new one for me but this one didn’t. To avoid having them unwrap my half-​eaten burrito, I said to put it on the side. As she was about to go back, she comes back and asks if I would like a new one. Thankfully, I accepted.
Unfortunately, by the time she returned with the new one, I was already full eating mu kids’ leftovers so I didn’t touch and took it home.
When I ate it for dinner, I thought it was okay. What would’ve made it better was if they had some kind of green sauce to go with it. My hubby’s enchiladas were good, and you can’t really go wrong with a cheese quesadilla and taquitos. They were both good.
The place was somewhat cleaner than other taquerias I’ve gone too. Customer service was friendly despite the mishap. I’d probably give them another chance and order the raved about super tacos if ever I’m in the area again.

I almost forgot about the horchata! It was the best I’ve ever had. It didn’t have the chalky taste and it wasn’t overly sweet. It was soooo good! I’d for sure order the large size next time.

Best Super Tacos ever! Love the Dorado style and the salsa is not nuclear hot so you can enjoy the flavor of the whole taco. There is nothing better than a good taco and these are better than good!

Arguably the best Mexican food in the area. We frequent this place at least once a week and have never had a bad meal. Great guacamole appetizer, excellent super burritos and street tacos. Very reasonable prices and casual atmosphere. Highly recommended.

If I could give it a 4.95 stars I would. The super tacos are PHENOMENAL. No matter the meat, they’re so fresh tasting and delicious and full of flavor. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I had a wet burrito there that was eh. But I’ve learned my lesson and shall only get the super tacos and be very very happy with that.

This is my favorite place to get a burrito since I discovered it about a month ago. My go to order is the Carne Asada super burrito (carne asada, guac, green sauce, sour cream, rice, beans) and it’s so delicious!!! They’re horchata is also probably my favorite horchata in the whole world. I basically come here for take out once a week now. It’s kind of a problem.
One time my boyfriend and I ate there and he ordered the chile verde plate and didn’t really like it but he liked my burrito. I probably won’t go crazy on the menu or order anything other than my burrito.

I was craving some authentic Mexican food and decided to give this place a try and unfortunately was disappointed. The inside is ehh looking, the service was alright — they definitely kept making sure we didn’t need anything but personally asked us way too many times, and the food was so BLAND.

Great food great prices just overallba great place tried the other two places near by and this one defenetly beats them

We were visiting family in the area but stopped to get something to eat! This place was so good l! My kids loved their plate and ate everything! I got a wet burrito and it was delicious! I will be going back next time I am up there!

ok so this place is located on the same street as two other Mexican restaurants. Out of the three this one has
1) best customer services
2) its clean
3)food is good
4) food is well priced.
Now I usually come here for the burritos. In my opinion best in town. not too big not too small and just the right amount of everything.
They also have good posole and good micheladas.
Now all their food taste home made. The lady is super friendly and it looks like the whole family works there. So far everyone has been real nice and cool.
Now I choose this place over the other two any day. one is over priced and the other one has bad customer service. So If you find your self in Suisun on Main st and want Mexican food Id give this place a try.

Try the Super Taco’s, they are amazing!!! The prices are pretty amazing since the tacos are so delicious .I have tried other items on the menu but I can’t get over the grilled chicken tacos. If you are in the area, make the time to stop by this Taqueria.

My family’s first time here. We did come with two other families so we were a party of 13. Checked this place out because of the 4-​star Unilocal reviews we saw. So, we decided to try this place out due to the high ratings and of course the cheap prices mentioned.
FIRST IMPRESSION: as soon as I walked in, there def was a strong stench… not sure if it was because of old rags that are used to wipe the tables or what… but def not aromatic. Your usual hole-​in-​the wall resto… small, outdated décor (I’ll leave it at that), sticky tables… really not as clean as a previous Unilocal review said.
DISLIKES: Staff said there was a kids menu, but we were never given one to look at. She just recited the kids menu to us (we had 4 kids with us under the age of 10). When the bill came out, a little surprised that the chicken quesadillas I ordered for my kids were $ 6.50 each and drinks were not included with it. Sodas were a little flat. My friends ordered the ice tea, but when they tried it, it just tasted like water. Upon bringing it to the waitress’ attention, she simply said that, that was how their unsweetened tea tasted like. Basically colored water.
LIKES: they offer military discount! Chips and salsa unlimited and it was pretty good. Their red sauce salsa is HOT!
My son ordered the Cali burrito. It has steak, potatoes, beans and cheese. He liked it and it was only $ 5.75.
Hubby got the carne asada. Tortillas that it was supposed to come with came out about 10 min after the entrée came out. My hubby and two friends agreed that the carne asada was too dry.
I ordered the chicken flautas. It was alright. The flautas seemed over fried… every time I took a bite the tortilla just fell off. Chicken was dry too. Guac needed more salt and no salsa was avail other than the hot one provided with the chips earlier. I did still finish my entrée, came with 4 flautas and rice and beans. Rice was good!
Not a place we are all dying to try again. Staff was very nice though.

Love the tacos!!! Whenever we’re in the area we definitely make a stop here!!! We usually order four tacos and that’s enough for 2 people at lunch — and the horchata is delicioso!!!

This is not really a 5-​star place but I needed to counteract the oversensitive jackass below. This place is clean, cool (AC), friendly and CHEAP. My burrito had whole avocado slices, comes with free chips and 2 good salsas. Tortilla was grilled, which is a nice touch. Super pollo asado + Jarritos = $ 8.25 and very full belly. 4.5 stars!

This is my and my husband’s favorite Mexican restaurant! We’ve been coming here since we moved to the Suisun marina 5 years ago. We’d go on nightly walks and stop in a couple times a month. It’s definitely not ‘fine dining’ but the food is so good and the staff is always really friendly to my family and me. I recommend the super tacos, shrimp fajitas, diabla burrito (if you can take the heat, it’s super spicy!), or the super quesadilla. Really, anything I’ve had from there is good those are just what stands out to me at this moment.

It’s the fourth of July and this place is the only open restaurant! Although it was packed the customer service was impeccable. Very friendly staff and when the food arrived it did not disappoint. Hubby had the super steak burrito and commented in its freshness I had the fish tacos and they were delicious. Not your typical thick fried piece of cod. A lot of flavor and very fresh. I’ve been living in Suisun for 10+ years and this is my first time here. I will definitely be back!

Great food and drinks with great prices! Perfect place since the food is quickly at your table and perfectly done. Decent size servings. Sure will be back again!
