This library is in a great location in Suisun City. It has an open layout with no real separation for a quiet study zone. To my knowledge, there is only 1 study room at this location. Reservation is by first come, first serve basis(which can be a bit of an inconvenience). If you can’t get into the reserved study room, there are an ample amount of tables throughout the library; however, you are more susceptible to distractions. The library is located right next to an elementary school and is very kid friendly. When I visited this location, there were a lot of children there on the internet or looking for books. Some of the older kids were using it as a meet up spot, which I thought was kind of interesting. Since there are a lot of children there, be prepared to watch little boys play fighting, being loud, and see them run around all over the place. The noise was a big problem for me. I was one of the unfortunate souls that wasn’t able to get into the only study room at this location, so I had to study at one of the open tables in the center. There were people talking loudly and people that did not turn the cellphones on silent upon entering the establishment. And as stated earlier, I witnessed little boys play fighting, screaming, and running around all over the place, so it was a bit distracting. Luckily, they do have free wifi internet so I was able to listen to jazz music(very loudly if I might add) to drown out the noise. The wifi does tend to slow down though, since a lot of people are using it. On the bright side, the staff here are very friendly and helpful. I was greeted and helped right away when I approached the front desk for a couple of questions. The location is also fairly neat and well organized. Just be aware that there are children who are eating inside of the building and may not clean up after themselves. Overall, this is generally a nice library. From what I briefly saw, there was a good amount of books to select from. It is child friendly; however, it isn’t too study friendly due to the noise. With that being said, I’m giving this place 3 out of 5 stars instead of 4 out of 5. I’ll most likely visit this location again when I want to rent out some books(when I have more free time).

Clean, well-organized and super friendly staff! This library is very kid friendly and offer many community events! If you have children and are looking for a cheap way to entertain them for the day, this is the place to come!(If you’re looking for a quiet place to get some serious studying hours in… you might want to look elsewhere and this library is soooo much better than Fairfield’s!)

I genuinely want to give this library four stars, but I just can’t. This library gets an overall rating for 3.5 stars. This library lies in a quiet neighborhood, but as soon as you step inside, it becomes a different story. There are children running and screaming in the library. Parents, take your kids outside, the library is not a playground. Make your kids run on the neighboring playground or play a game of soccer around the field till your child is exhausted. Also, I can not believe there are people talking in their regular voices. The library is not a place to socialize about so and so’s boyfriend being a douchebag or slut shame about another person. Go to Starbucks and socialize there or reserve a study room and pretend you’re studying. I’m disappointed that the staff is not taking any initiative to tell their guests to be quiet. It’s the golden rule of every library you step foot into! I don’t understand why it’s not being enforced! I’m very disappointed! On the plus side, there are a nice selection of books, audiobooks, CD’s, etc. to choose from. The also have a decent selection of computers to use and plenty of group and individual tables to utilize. It is as cozy as a gigantic living room in your friend’s house. I like they enforced the silence your cellphone rule. If only the librarians did a better job enforcing the quiet voice rule, I would happily give this place four stars! This library has a lot of potential to be an ideal study paradise, but I can’t give the four stars they deserve until they acknowledge the quiet rule.

This branch is very involved with events for the kids. They have a summer reading program for kids and teens. They also offers classes for adults like knitting, yoga and scrabble. Wednesday is great day for stay at home moms to get the kids out. They have puppet shows art fun at usually about 10 am or so on Wednesdays. Check it out they always having something worth checking out in the community.
