My wife, Anita, have been successfully and happy raising chickens of different breed variety as family pets at our backyard where we have built an enclosed fenced area with a Chicken Coop and a covered hanger. We’ve been so thrilled gathering our own fresh organic ‘edible’ egg harvest everyday and been sharing them happily with our family, friends and our neighbors alike. George’s Feed and Pet Supply have provided us what every pet owner needs in one roof. Their prices are ‘excellent’ and very ‘reasonable’.
Their Customer Service is ‘impeccable’ that’s beyond any place else in the area. Their ‘incredible’ staff are very welcoming, friendly courteous, professional, knowledgeable, polite, understanding and kind-​hearted. I called to find out if they carried Pullets who ever answered the phone hung up on me while I was talking I was only able to say «do you have any» he could not have known what I was looking for when he hung up on me If you treat people on the phone badly how do you treat them in the store? I’ll never shop there I had high hopes for a feed store so close to my house I will now have to go elsewhere
{in case you do not know Pullets are a young chicken and especially one that is less than a year old } Butt he never knew what I wanted

If I could, I would give this place zero stars. In the spirit of spending money locally, I called this store to see if they carried grain-​free dog food and thought I’d buy from them instead of the large chains if they did — hey, we all need to do our part to support small mom and pop businesses, right? Before you spend your money at this store, please read the following:
The treatment I received over the phone BY THE OWNER OF THIS STORE was appalling, to say the least. He talked to me as if I was putting him out and didn’t have time for the questions I was asking – very simple questions that took a mere 20 seconds. At the end of the phone call I thanked him and he hung up on me without saying a word.
After hanging up the phone and not believing what I had just experienced, I called back and gracefully called George out on his unprofessional, not-​the-​way-​to-​do-​business behavior. I was shocked when he proceeded to tell me that by me asking if his store sold dog food, which then led to me to ask if they sold grain-​free dog food, set the stage for his response because he «thought» I was a prank caller. He proceeded to tell me about his history with prank callers — not my problem, but okay, I listened and was empathetic… Once I caught wind of his prank call history, I explained to him that I had never been to his store before, hence the seemingly silly question of whether he sold dog food or not. I thought that would clear the air and change the attitude. Even after the poor treatment I received, I still considered the possibility that we could move past all of this and still do business as I’m a reasonable person and I know that sometimes first impressions are bad. Well, George, the owner of this store, blew his second chance to make a good impression because he treated me exactly the same way he did during the first phone call. George is more interested in being a bully, being rotten, and being right (in his own mind) than doing good business in the community.
If you are against bullies, disrespectful, condescending, and rude people, don’t spend your money here. I hope this place goes out of business soon, rather than later, because that’s exactly what George is doing for himself — he’s losing good business for himself with his bad behavior. Suisun City does not deserve to be associated with a business owner like George.

Love this place. George has always been super nice to me. Went in today and bought vaccines for my dogs and he even gave me a great discount because of the quantity I bought. Customer service has always been helpful, courteous, and friendly.

My family loves this store what a great find. We are third generation shoppers and make this a weekly stop for something hay, dog food, bird food. They do not take credit cards make sure to have cash or your check book and they get extremly busy so answering the phone isnt always possible but, The customer service is always great there friendly and super willing to help out or just answer questions. Georges is a great one stop shop for all your pet needs big and small. We’ll definetly be coming back!

I don’t recall the name of the person who just answered my call just now if they even mentioned their name at all, but the man who answered was really condescending and rude like I was in the wrong to even be calling! I was just asking 3 simple yes or no questions inquiring about whether they carried dog food, a specific brand and formula. I was on the phone with him for like 20 seconds if that and the guy acted like I added to his seemingly already crappy day just by calling. What’s the point of having a store phone number listed if people can’t call ahead of time to see if your store even carries what they’re looking for??? I’m new to this area, pregnant and have a toddler in tow, I don’t need to be driving all around this unfamiliar place hunting down our kind of dog food. What a bad representation of your city, rude guy I talked to on the phone.

most disgusting place i’ve ever gone. just nasty. rude people work there and it smells really bad. i would never buy anything else there again.

Love George’s he has the same employees that he has had for a while now they get to know you, it’s very nice to feel at home any where you frequent! Prices are good and he has everything. If you look he also offers coupons as well! My kids love to go to his place and check out all the chickens, pigeons, bunnies and sometimes piggies! ONLY downfall fall is you must bring cash but its worth it!!!

I feel like such a dupe for buying my birdseed on Amazon. How could I forget about this place?
I came here to get black oil sunflower seed for the sparrows, doves, pigeons and finches that frequent my feeders. I’d been buying the Wagner brand in a 20 lbs bag on Amazon for the last year and I liked it. This time around though, I wanted to check out George’s for a few different reasons — 1) He’s a local business and I love supporting those, 2) It’s close to home and 3) I wanted to see his prices for egg laying hens, just for future reference.
I came inside and saw that he had 4 lbs (gallon sized) bags of black oil sunflower seed among many other varieties of seed and scratch, including several blends. After waiting for the employee working the register to finish with the customer ahead of us I was greeted by George and the employee working the register. I asked about the prices for bigger quantities of the black oil sunflower seed and he said they had it in a 50 lbs bag for $ 30. Having been buying the 20 lbs Wagner bags for $ 16-​$ 20 I pounced on the chance to get more than double at a great price. Hearing the phrase «Someone will load it into your car for you.» after paying was really nice too. After heading outside and popping my trunk open, my daughter and I went to look at the chickens that are kept out there. Oh, how I wish I could have taken 2 of those hens home to eat bugs from my garden and lay eggs for me on this visit. Not today, but soon my feathered friends, soon.
Having gotten the seed home I opened the bag to find some bits of stem here and there, but not so much that I felt ripped off by any means. I just refilled my feeders and I’m already hearing my neighborhood birds fighting over the bounty of seeds before them. Looks like they agree too, we’ll be back! Thanks George!

George’s feed is the place to go if you want knowledgeable help and great prices. I bought 5 bantam chickens a few months back and 4 turned out to be roosters that I cannot have. George swapped them out no questions asked and helped me pick out hens. I drive from Vacaville to go to George’s and the feed store in Vacaville is a mile from my house.

Called to check when they closed. They said 5:00. I said I’d be there in 15 minutes so I’d be there at 5, I needed one thing and I told her what it is (vaccination needle) so I could run in, get it and be gone. I arrived at the store at 5:00 like I said, the store looked long closed (gates were down, both employees were already in there cars) at 5:00, meaning they closed up early. I flagged down the guy still left (the girl I talked to sped off as soon as she saw me) I explained to him that I had called and the lady I talked to said as long as I was there by 5:00 it was fine. I showed him that it was 5:00 on the dot and they had closed up early. He gave me an excuse about having to be in concord in a half an hour, which isn’t my problem. they closed up shop early and the girl I talked to didn’t even tell him, who happened to be the manager at the time, about my call.
Never wasting my money here again and I will stop recommending them to my dog training clients
