Madison, WI
During a recent trip to Salt Lake, I made it a mission to check out some of the local yoga studios. I was directed by my yoga teacher in Madison, WI to seek out Carla Anderson, who teaches here but received her training in Alignment Yoga while living in Wisconsin. I dropped in on a small Saturday afternoon class on a lovely, sunny spring afternoon in March and received such a warm welcome! Carla is a wonderful teacher who made me feel right at home during my visit. It felt very comfortable to me because she taught in a style much like the Iyengar teachers I have had. I found the practice challenging, but just to the right level. Carla met me just where I was and helped me to practice poses which I hadn’t practiced in a long time. It was a wonderful experience! I think I have now found my yoga home in Salt Lake!

Such a good feeling place. The owners Tim and Ardyce are SLC’s sweetest AND coolest yogi couple! Lots of Ashtanga and other styles of yoga, and you can get Ayurvedic treatments and health consultations. As the name suggests, this is Upstairs and a separate business from SLC fit collective, but same building. Just go in and up the stairs!
