Sugar Valley Meats is a must if you live around or drive through this area. Most supermarket meats come from the big packaging houses and you never really know what your are going to get, at Sugar Valley, they use local farmers to supply their meat and the quality is outstanding.
I do a lot of smoking pork, brisket, and ribs and Reuben always hooks me up with the best meat possible. This is a «no-​brainer».

Sugar Valley Meats is a MUST when touring Amish Country. We always HAVE to get their beef jerkey & pork chops, then try something different. One time the jerkey was too salty, but since we have asked for a sample prior to bringing it home. If you see the jerky in the display case, grab what you can… it goes fast.

Steaks were not very good, kinda tough. A liitle pricey. T-​bones were good, but the NY steak was way too chewy and tough. I had a problem with the fact that the meat was not graded (select, choice, prime) The homemade smoked sausage was very good as were the beef sticks. Not really worth the drive.
