I’ve been going to Bea for I think 12 years now!!! I’ve never been disappointed. I feel spoiled to have had somebody to take care of me for so long! I recently moved to Austin, Tx and will still try to make my way to Sugar Land just in time for the next time I need my hair done! It’s always awesome to find somebody who can make you beautiful and keep up a conversation while doing it! Love it! Thanks for making me feel gorgeous always, Bea!!!

I went to Bea for a color correction. I began dying my own at home after a few bad experiences spending a lot of money at salons only to have the bleached parts fry up and break off the next day. After awhile I developed the tell tail dark band around the top of my head where the previously dyed hair took more color than the new growth. So, I finally decided to look for a stylist that was good with color. I saw the Funky Hue had good reviews and took a chance.
I am sooo glad I did!!! Bea is nothing short of a sorceress with hair! The techniques she has developed over the years are amazing! She did an ombré balayage that is easy to keep up. There is no more dark «crown» and the bleached parts are a gorgeous ash level 10 blonde with no breakage at all. It hadn’t been long since my last cut so I hadn’t intended on even getting it cut that day but after the color came out so well, I said do what you want in terms of cut. Again, sooo glad I did!!!
I have a cowlick in the front which makes my hair grow so it stands straight up which has plagued me my whole life. 45 years and no one had ever cut my bangs so that I could wear them without a ridiculous amount of product and time spent blow drying them down. Even then with the humidity in Houston, an hour later they would refuse to lie down and behave. Not anymore. To my utter shock after shampooing and combing it the next day, my hair just basically fell into place. I did not even blow dry or add any products and my bangs just laid right. My hair is most low maintenance it has ever been! Happy Happy Joy Joy!

I can’t say enough good things about Be a! She’s the first stylist I tried after moving to Texas 2 years ago. I’ve moved around quite a bit and always had to try several stylists before I found the right one. This time I lucked out right away. She’s great with highlights and blonde hair. I have a lot of hair and it’s rather heavy and long but she always gives me a great cut to make it more manageable. She’s great with both color and cuts. I decided to cut it all off my last visit and still couldn’t be happier with the cut. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new stylist!

I went to the Funky Hue while I was on my vacation, I really needed a hair cut because my hair was super dry after being at the desert. I trust B to decide the style as I realized she knew exactly what I like. And that was a very good decision. She only cut what it was necessary, put an organic treatment on my hair so my curls now look shiner and not dry. She’s very professional and nice. I’ll come back when I’m here visiting my family!

I have seen Bea for about 12 years-​longest time with a stylist! I keep trying to find a place closer to my residence, but they are never in the «same league» as Bea. I have had so many compliments on my hair when Bea has cut and colored it-​i have recommended numerous people. I finally got to the point where I carry a stack of her cards.

Jordan is AWESOME! She does the best highlights I’ve ever had, and i’m asian so ya’ll know I’ve had all types of highlights in my life time. Not to mention, she’s super hot.

I had Jordan do my highlights and lowlights yesterday for the first time, and she exceeded my expectations! She really listens to what you want and does exactly that! I am so happy to have found a new hair stylist who I can trust and at a very fair price too! I was tired of paying over $ 150 for a mediocre job. My hair looks and feels great too!

The owner, Bea, has done a lot of runway hair and knows how to do wedding, prom, and special event up-​dos. Bea is extremely talented with color correction and fun hairstyles. Family friendly!
She’s done some pretty amazing short haircuts on me, but my FAVORITE THING is the hair straightener treatment that eliminates FRIZZY HAIR! OMG– I seriously just wave my blow dryer and my hair falls into place! I love that treatment! It lasts about 6 months for me!
