My husband was recently a patient at the crescent. The care is horrible the nurses are lazy. The 4th day there my husband had a stroke and i had to scream and beg for someone to look at my husband. They have zero infection control. They were late getting my husband to his doctor appointment. Just sorry i had to give it any stars at all

My mother in law was recently moved from a facility out of town to The Crescent.(Oct ’14) She is receiving long term care services. We have been very impressed with the level of care she receives as well as the numerous amenities that are offered(and included within the daily rate). The staff has been wonderful to work with — they are very helpful and truly dedicated to providing the best care possible to our mom. I read the negative reviews and feel compelled to share that our experience has no resemblance to any of them. From the initial inquiry, admission, physician on site, coordination of care, activities, meal quality, and even the beauty shop… every encounter has been positive. We couldn’t be more satisfied with The Crescent and highly recommend their services.

I give this place 0 stars. I was recently there to visit my sister who is currently in the facility and OMG the staff there are useless! You ask the nurses station a question and they send you to the front office who can’t answer anything if they are even there. When you ask to speak to the director of the facility he says to wait in one of their nice rooms and he will be there shortly then does not show up or sends someone else to talk to you. I mean really is this how to run a business. For a new facility I am truly disappointed and can’t wait for my sister to be discharged.

If I could give this place a 0 I would. Some nurses are friendly, most have horrible attitudes. They frequently don’t pick up phones at call stations. AC broke twice in three days in my fathers room. It got so overheated he started throwing up. He called the nurses station, yelled, hollered, and still no response. Consistently would bring my vegetarian father meals with meat and then when we would say he can’t eat this they would take away the item and bring no other food. They didn’t have more than one non-meat option. They didn’t offer any physical therapy on weekends Getting them to clean the rooms was a big pain. You’d have to find someone to do it for you. And if you asked the wrong person they didn’t help you, just tell you to go look for someone in a different color uniform. It was so frustrating we called managers, supervisors, and anyone to help us. We got a lot of sorrys and virtually no action.

I was recently a patient at The Crescent which is owned by Cantex. It is a new facility and is very beautiful. The staff is friendly, but that is far as it goes when it comes to positives. I was given the wrong dosage of I.V. medicines on at least three occasions. One time the nurse nearly gave me the wrong medicine, but I noticed before it was started that it was wrong. The food was bad, it was late, and it was always cold. The portions were tiny. The amount of food given was not enough to keep a toddler alive let alone a six foot three man. If you are looking for the perfect place to send grandma, this isn’t it. Keep looking.
