It’s taco cabana, what more can you say? The food will satiate you. Also don’t forget to include the drink when you order, even though the food isn’t pricey, they also don’t come with drinks. This is your typical fast food-level Tex Mex, and they don’t take too long to get the food out to you. After lunch, it’s sort of a gamble on getting a clean table, I ended up wiping down my own. It was one of the few that wasn’t heavily littered. Though I don’t find that much of a fault of the restaurant’s, people just can’t clean up after themselves. If you like some quick Tex Mex and don’t wanna go to Taco Bell, come here.

This is a pretty average Taco Cabana, in my opinion. Cleanliness was average. There’s a salsa bar, which is nice to have, but it was pretty messy with lots of dripped salsa. Hard to keep those kinds of places constantly spic and span, though, because of the frequency of people going and making a mess there. Sign up for the TC email/loyalty club and you’ll get a free offer for your birthday — that’s what brought J and me in when we went. Free flautas combo plate! Their combo plates come with guacamole, which sounds awesome because you’re not paying extra for it, but there’s just a small dollop of guacamole, not enough to pair with everything in your meal. But hey, it’s included in the price, so no harm no foul.

We have picked up food here a few times, and it is good food, but they keep forgetting to include items we we ordered in our bag. I just got home. I ordered a meal for 2 with brisket. It was supposed to include 6 tortillas, but there are none. I also ordered extra sour cream, but there is none at all. Not even on the quesadilla. Last time, we ordered a large container of refried beans, and it was not included. I tried calling the store, using the number on the receipt, but no one is answering. I just can’t drive all the way back out there with my kids right now to get what I paid for, so I guess we will considered ourselves screwed. Very disappointed:(

I’m been coming to this taco cabana for years and I don’t know why but I feel it’s gone downhill lately. This morning as I was heading to the Apple Store for an appt I had a few minutes and decided to swing by for a breakfast taco combo. When I walked in I didn’t notice anyone at the counter. I stood there for a few minutes before one of the cook staff saw me and looked around to see why there wasn’t anyone up front. Then she proceeded to walk to their back office and finally someone came out. Looked like he was having a bad morning. Anyways he barked out a half hearted apology and took my order while I stood in stony silence. Guess it was because I was wondering to myself why I didn’t go to the Chick Fil A by my house where you’re always greeted with a smile promptly and made to feel welcome! Anyways my point is customer service always is it for me and this place seemed dead to me. The past couple of times I’ve been here it’s been like that that’s why I decided to update my review! Plus the condiment bar was a mess. It needed to be restocked and it seemed like they had plenty of people. So no excuse. What happened Taco Cabana? My once favorite place gone to the way of bad attitudes and lousy service. Take a hint from Chick Fil A. They are doing something right! Wow. As I was wrapping up this review a very nice young lady came by and asked me if everything was alright? Geez now I feel bad about posting this but I’m going to. As far as she was concerned. You need more people like her to man the front and I thought of raising it one star for that alone but I’m gonna stick with this and see if anything improved over time.

I’m warning you don’t ever eat here. The food was so disgusting. I got the street steak tacos and it looked and tasted like ground up dog food. I got a steak fajita taco and the meat tastes like liver and even the texture. Got my son chicken fajita tacos and they were decent but weren’t good either. Plus on top of the the foil smelt really bad like body odor bad.

This place is dirty. Outside, inside. For a fairly new construction it’s pathetic. Whoever owns this franchise or manages it needs to look around and clean up

Taco Cabana may be a chain but there food is very good. The Taco Cabana in Sugar Land has some gross things that need to be fixed up. Such as the outdoor tables and the condiment bar. But overall the food is good.

I scored an enchiladas coupon from my mailbox. I picked up two beef enchilada combo plates for a total of $ 8.65, tax included. The foods were not the best Tex-Mex I ever had, but they were filling. No complaints at that price. I am going back since I still have couple more similar coupons.

I think there are two ways to review places like Taco Cabana: 1. map your experience at this fast food place against ALLOFYOURBESTTEXMEXEXPERIENCES and be, likely, disappointed 2. recognize the need that Taco Cabana addresses(Tex Mex for the masses! Fast, in and out! Super-affordable!) and assess it accordingly This review, and the three stars, aligns with approach 2. It was super-clean, and super-efficient. The staff was friendly(other reviews mention rudeness, but definitely not our experience). There is an amazing salsa /condiment bar with multiple salsas, cilantro, jalapeños, raw onion and lots of other things to jazz up your choices. What wasn’t as great? I mean, the food isn’t THEBEST. The nachos are something to avoid, IMHO. They are soggy and wet from the meat and refried beans, so the«ultimate» nachos would best be swapped out in favour of just chips and salsa for my tastes. Carnitas are a better bet, or even one of the bowls or burritos. Flautas are fine, if you want to be forced into taking a nap immediately post-lunch. Unilocal note: they have a Happy Hour where their pitchers of margaritas are…4.50. Yep, you read that right. *4.50*. Gidditgirl(is what my brain said to myself)

The fajitas were good. The cheese was terrible and watered down. The customer service was very poor. We ordered a large chips and queso they gave us two tiny cups. When I told them that is not what ordered he argues with me about it. Very hostile. Never going back!

Don’t bother with this place. I don’t expect much from fast food, but I do think a correct order and edible food should be a given. The employees were rude and my order was incorrect. Not that it mattered, because it was inedible. The meat in the street tacos was so, so salty, and had a strong taste of soy protein. I’m not sure if there is any actual meat in it. I just threw it away. Absolutely disgusting.

What can I really say, its fast food at 3:00 in the morning. A group of employee’s who really don’t want to be there which I can’t blame them. Found them pre making all of their egg taco’s for the morning which didn’t bother me until they put my food on top of them all as they were making them. No a big deal but not very clean. All I can say is it beats any other choice at that time of the morning.

I’m a fan of Taco Cabana. This location however is absolutely horrendous. The service is slow, the restaurant is always dirty, the employees are always rude and dismissive and seem like they’d rather be anywhere else. As much as I enjoy Taco Cabana absolutely hate going to the Sugar Land location.

Taco Cabana is what it is. Fast food Tex-Mex that is somewhat upgraded. Upgraded doesn’t always mean top grade. While I will admit the crispy chicken flautas and refried bean and cheese taco are pretty decent, I can’t say the same for some other items or the overall cleanliness. I’ll start with the good. The aforementioned chicken flautas were fried nicely, crisp and hot. They were seasoned well and the dips I chose for them was the queso and guacamole. The queso was the standard commercial kind but then again, it’s fast food and is expected. The guacamole, while not the worst, was rather bland and not fresh tasting. The refried bean and cheese taco had a smooth, creamy texture from the beans and good taste. The chips for the steak fajita nachcos tasted stale and the toppings, especially the steak fajita, were pretty skimpy. The tomatoes had little to no flavor and didn’t seem fresh. There was very little cheese but that wasn’t such a bad thing considering the queso wasn’t so great. The condiment/salsa bar was a mess and not just a small, get-cleanser-and-wipe-up mess. It looked like someone had decided to play food fight which became a war. There was lots of spillage and the very few spoon utensils seemed like they had been used in every salsa/condiment bin and dropped in them, too. Considering they were short on spoons it was no surprise. There were spills on the floor left uncleaned and the floor was sticky. Nothing looked very fresh but even if so it would have been impossible to tell with everything mixed and spilled. Much of the restaurant needed sweeping and there were some tables that needed clearing but were neglected. The employees were friendly but seemed harried and confused. The person taking the order didn’t realize that flautas were on the menu. The food was prepared and ready in a timely manner so apparently there was some order to the chaos. All things considered, this wouldn’t be my first choice for fast food Tex-Mex. The messiness of the restaurant and the disaster of a salsa/condiment bar were off-putting not to mention some items not seeming fresh. Hopefully, this location will get it together and get things cleaned up and improve on quality. Otherwise, I don’t see us going here.

Absolutely disgusting. The salsa bar hadn’t been tended to looked like in days. The jalapeños were slimey and mushy and tasted sweet. I spit them out it was so disgusting! They were out of 2 other sauces and the cilantro. I told them and they told me to wait. Also, their employees were walking around behind the counters near the grill eating plates of food. Don’t they have somewhere else to eat beside behind the counter? I was so disappointed at this taco cabana… And I love taco cabana! The food wasn’t bad. The manager was smug when I talked to her.

No. No no no no. Ordered fajita plates. I was asked, «It comes with borracho beans, is that OK?» I said, «Well, if that’s what it comes with, it will have to be OK.» «No,» she says, «you don’t have to have borracho.» «OK,» say I, «what are the other choices. Only then does she finally list them. Wouldn’t it have been easier to say, «Would you like blah, blah, or blah beans?» in the first place? I noticed she was wearing her gloves to operate the cash register and count money. That’s not the way it’s supposed to work, but it happens a lot around here. Sometimes I mention that gloves are supposed to be for food handling, sometimes I don’t. I wasn’t going to mention it this time until she handed me WETMONEY! I said, «Eeeeeew, the money is wet!» and she said, «Oh, I must have gotten water on my gloves from the drinks.» And then touched unsanitary money, and then would go back to touching food, no doubt. Eeeeeeeeeew! The table where I sat to wait wasn’t clean. Neither was the floor. Neither was the salsa bar. The food, when I got it home, was cold. Not as in it had cooled off but as in it had never been hot. Made me wonder about how long it had been sitting around at room temperature and whether I was going to get food poisoning. Once I hotted them up, the beans(black) and rice weren’t awful. The fajita chicken and beef were(awful). Beef really weird texture, not tasty. First thing I hit in the chicken was gristle. Wound up making quesadillas with the extra tortillas and giving meat to dogs. Every employee I saw looked like they’d rather be anywhere else — slouching around with sour pusses.

The drive-thru is slow. The staff is friendly and it looks as if they are trying their best to speed up the process, but waiting 10 minutes in a drive-thru just seems ludacris to me. The food is good so if you’re in the mood for some Tex-Mex but don’t have the time to go to a sit-down restaurant, this place will hit the spot.

Dirty, tortillas laying around the tortilla machine, extra not filled. Poorly managed and extremely dirty. Was not like this before. Friend also stated a week ago would not go again and not I agree as well!
