This is one of my favorite lunchtime spots, and you’ll often find it full of other office minions around noon as well. It’s what a Vietnamese place should be: no frills, inexpensive, fast, and tasty. The entire process of ordering is very efficient. You get about two minutes to figure out what you want before the waitress comes by for the first time, and it usually hits the table within 5 – 10 minutes(this is true even if you order a meat dish, not just phở). I like to get the small phở with lean beef; I never like the meatballs in phở and I find the other meats kind of fatty. It’s one of the only phở places I’ve ever been to where there is so much meat that I don’t have to order extra, and the small bowl is certainly satisfying. We usually order spring rolls(2 per order, and generously sized) which are delicious if a bit heavy on leafy goodness. My husband’s favorite is the beef cubes, which are nicely seasoned and cooked and served with a huge portion of rice. We’ve also shared the pork here, and it definitely lives up to expectations — sooo savory! Quick, delicious, and cheap: what more could you want out of a lunchtime joint?

Best Vietnamese restaurant in Fort Bend County! Wow, am I glad to have found this place! I ordered Bun Thit Nuong(vermicelli with grilled pork) and an app of spring rolls. The spring rolls were stuffed with veggies and shrimp, and the bun dish was loaded with meat and veggies. This was the largest bowl of BTN I’ve ever seen. More important than the serving size though, the food was the best flavoured bun bowl I’ve had in Houston! Only the food that used to be available in the isolated Viet neighbourhood in East New Orleans is better in my experience. Phở Thanh, you have a new regular! I can’t wait to try the banh mit and phở dishes!

I think the noodles/phở are average taste at this place, but the tofu sandwiches are unique and very good tasting. It is worth trying if you are vegetarian. I also like the iced Vietnamese café with milk which usually wakes me up whenever I try it.

They started cleaning the place with so much cleaning products, I felt like I was eating soap. The smell was so overpowering I couldn’t taste anything. It was around 8:20, when they did this. I thought closing time was at 9. Also they accidentally got my order wrong so instead of small phở, they made it large. When my order came out, the waiter asked if I could pay for a large phở since THEYGOTMYORDERWRONG. WTH??? So they got it wrong and want me to pay more for it??? When I said no, and asked for small, he told me to just pay for small. Again. WTH The menu is so messy with all these little stickers, since they put that over old price. And all that cleaning products. I totally lost my appetite. I will not return.

This a good hole in the wall type of place… But you better be ready to know what you’re eating The lady asked me 5 times if I was ready in a period of 3 mins…

Really good food. The place was a little dirty for my taste. Still the place was good.

Very pleasantly surprised! Being Vietnamese, I’ve been to my fair share of Phở establishments in and outside of Houston(I must say, phở in Kansas phở-king sucks). The phở here had a really flavor-packed broth and the service was very friendly. Overall, awesome hole-in-the-wall place and by far beats the much more popular Phở Ben down Hwy 6.

I don’t get all the glowing reviews. I’ve water here several times & it’s just so so each time. Service is not very good & the place has a strange smell.

Step 1: Get a large bowl of Phở Chin and an ice cold beverage. Step 2: Add Jalapeños and spicy garlic sauce. Step 3: Win at life.

Not sure I understand all the high reviews. I’ve been here a few times and it is always at best just meh. Very basic dishes, going through the motions, without much to set it apart. Service is friendly, nice family run type place, but the food just isn’t anything worth coming back for.

Been going to this restaurant since it opened and have never been disappointed. My favorite is the grilled pork in vermicelli noodles with fried egg rolls. Their phở is awesome. Can never go wrong.

I’m so sorry to report that my husband & I returned here an hour ago bcs its our favorite phở, but I hv bad bad news, guys. I walked in before my husband & as I approached the table they were guiding me to — no lie — a young small mouse had wondered out of its nest & came running at me toward my direction full speed. So much was my surprise, I screamed in horror yelling, «O my God! There’s a mouse and it almost touched my toe. Look, its there.» I was so embarrassed for disturbing the peace of others I could not apologize enough. My husband and I left while two waiters were stomping the young mouse. All I could do is apologize while walking out because I yelled loud and there were plenty of guest eating. Saddest face.

I stopped in for lunch at Phở Thanh one freezing cold afternoon when a bowl of phở was all that was on my mind. I had driven by many times but it never looked appealing from the outside, however on this day I checked out the Unilocal reviews and all looked good so I decided to venture in. The dining room was clean and I was greeted and seated immediately after I entered. So far so good. I ordered a small bowl of phở with chicken broth(no meat) and vegetarian spring rolls. All came out in about 5 – 7 minutes. The chicken broth was delicious and it was a sizable portion. The vegetarian spring rolls were humongous and they were THEBESTSPRINGROLLS I have ever had. From Chinese restaurants to Thai restaurants to Vietnamese restaurants, these were the best spring rolls I have ever had. I know that is a bold statement. They were so hearty, loaded with tofu, basil, mint, carrots and more, but the ingredients were not so chunky and, they were nicely chopped and perfectly rolled in the soft paper. The peanut dipping sauce was a perfect accompaniment and I devoured both of them in minutes! My bill was less than $ 10 and I was out of there in about 40 minutes. I will most definitely be back to try more dishes!

I had a wonderful experience here at this restaurant both times I’ve come. I enjoyed the number 14. It has several types of meats which always always always makes me melt in my seat. the place is pretty clean and always has super fast service. My wife & I see the manager always sitting in the front so everybody is always doing their job. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are into getting something quick to eat that satisfies. You’ll be full but not bloated. I also wanted to add that we ordered a giant pitcher of green tea and it was for my wife. It was nice and hot it helped her recuperate from her sore throat once again visit this place and explorer the wonderful Vietnamese flavors.

Relatively clean and prompt service. Delicious phở(all types), love their sandwiches for lunch; specifically, their banh mi thit nuong which is my favorite,(It’s a grilled pork sandwich, not to be confused with their BBQ pork«cha siu» sandwich). Spring rolls, rice plates and egg rolls, all excellent. Come here for an affordable meal and quite possibly leftovers for the next day.

I have to admit, I’m not familiar with Vietnamese cuisine. However, I decided to give Phở Thanh a try based on the Unilocal reviews. I wanted to do a take out order, so I went to the restaurant to look over their menu. I kept it simple. I ordered the two spring rolls as an appetizer. I also ordered an entrée that had charred beef slices. I can’t remember the name of the entrée, but I wouldn’t be able to spell it either way. :) The food order took some time to prepare, but that was ok. The spring rolls were fresh and very good. The beef entrée came with several rounds of thinly sliced beef, rice, and a lettuce/tomato salad. The beef was tender and pretty good. They gave me a lot of rice as well. The tomatoes could have been a little more ripe since they were just barely pink. The employees seem friendly enough and the restaurant looked clean. The only complaint I have is they didn’t have any to go menus. So, I’ll have to run up there again to look over the menu. I’ll probably have to look over the Unilocal reviews to get ideas on what to order next time… and there will be a next time.

I have been a loyal customer of this place since 2011. While taking me around 15 minutes to get here, the food never disapointed me. I tried Bo Luc Lac with fried rice, grilled pork + sunny-side-up egg + broken rice, phở, etc. and most of them are pretty decent. The broth of phở sometime tastes salty when it’s near the closing hour. The restaurant is clean and the staffs are friendly. They know what I need right away everytime I come to the restaurant.

This place is located in the a old shopping strip off Eldridge across from Food town. It’s been about 6 months since I’ve been here but I got banh mi thit nuong to go last time and it was good. In my opinion this place has the BEST Com Bo luc lac with really tasty fried rice. The spring rolls are moist and filled with fresh ingredients. The peanut sauce is flavorful with chili paste and carrots. The ladies who work there are pretty attentive. I guess it does help that I speak fluent Vietnamese.

This place is right outside of my neighborhood and I’ve passed by hundreds of times before stopping by. I typically only consume phở between the hours of 2 – 4 a.m., so Phở Thanh isn’t an option. However, I had a midday craving for broken rice and decided to give it a shot because #YOLO! I came in around 3 p.m. while the only people there were all of the employees taking their lunch break. I was seated immediately and a lady my mother’s age cordially took my order. I could feel her heart sink when she realized I didn’t speak a lick of Vietnamese. Sorry, boo boo. I had ordered my go-to charbroiled pork and egg roll over rice and it came out in a timely manner. The plating was amusingly quaint until I realized some assembly was required. Quality and value were straight down the middle and I left with my craving satisfied. I would visit again if the stars aligned as they did that afternoon.
