I always like to give the small guy a chance, so I decided to give Mia Terra another try. I knew they closed early, so I doubled checked their website. It stated they close at 3pm. I got there exactly at 2:25pm and they were closed. A sign on the door said they close at 2:20pm. What kind of hours are that?! I saw the workers sitting at the tables drinking up the profits I guess. Sorry, Mia Terra I won’t ever make the mistake and trying you again. It wouldn’t bother me one bit if they shut down. Maybe something better will move in. If we can only get a decent sandwich shop in the area, Mia Terra and Subway will be gone.

Would not recommend. At all. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad to go. It was made with about a handful of romaine, some microwaved chicken and parmesean cheese from the green shake can you would put on pasta. Some burnt croutons were thrown on top as well. Insulting for the 7 dollars they charge for this nonsense. Also had to endure the lady making it using her bare hands on all of the food. No utensils were used in making this dish. I’m pretty much grossed out by this. Don’t put things on the menu if you are going just half way do it. I can get a better Salad from McDonald’s.

Stopped here with my mom for lunch. I got the Chicken Buenos Aires and really enjoyed it. The empanadas were really good, too. I had never had them before, so I don’t have much in comparison, but I’d get them again. Seating is a bit cramped, but it’s a lunch place so it clears out quickly. I decided to get a desert, and this is where they lost a star. I ordered cheesecake and received four small cheesecake bites that were frozen. I’m waiting for them to thaw so I can eat them and it’s a little annoying. Other than that, I’d go back.

A bit pricier for a 6 inch when subway is within walking distance and offering a full combo for 6.50 with more topping selections and bread selections, and they don’t load up your sandwich with onions like mine was. I ordered a simple sandwich with two meats and loaded with veggies, mayo, and it ended up tasting a bit salty as well as heavy on the onion. It was an ok sandwich, I wouldn’t order it again despite it being made in a quick and friendly manner, but maybe if I were to try something on the menu, it would have to be an item that is popular or more fulfilling then my ham and turkey mashup.

I order a salad and the dressing was 6 months EXPIRED!!! I called to let them know and he didn’t even sound like he cared… Not to mention that the chicken on the salad was no more fresh than what you’d get at Subway… If you want to keep your lunch down, I’d recommend keeping away from this place.

I found this place because I was working at a client’s location that appeared to have only a McDonald’s or a Subway within reasonable distance. After getting tired of either of the 2,(which did not take very long) I decided to get adventurous and found this place, only a few feet away from the Subway I may add!. From the name, you would not realize that it is a deli, but then you have to realize that Latin American countries have delis too. Upon arrival, my first reaction was that Its a cozy little place with the«Old fashioned» Deli Vibe. Then I started looking around and it became almost immediately obvious what this place’s country of origin was. There were countless photos including Pope Francis, the Boca Juniors Futbol(Soccer) team, and of course, tango dancers! Then it suddenly hit me! This is an Argentine Deli! Similar to some of the ones I experienced during my time there. This is a mom and pop sandwich Shop /Empanaderia owned by 2 brothers, who both immigrated to this country in the early 90’s. They were very friendly as they told me the background of their restaurant and introduced me to their menu. They have the usual, the cold cut subs, the paninis, the Ciabattta sandwiches, and of course their newly added Focaccia sandwiches. I decided to give the new item a try, waiting only a few minutes for the order to come out. Everything was made to order but you could tell that lots of pride was put into making the sandwich. It seems too often that at places like Subway, they just throw everything together and hope the door doesn’t hit you on your way out. This was a warm experience, where I was able to get to know the owners, while giving them my business. The food was, needless to say, absolutely delicious. The bread was perfectly toasted, the sandwich itself(mine was a salami) was fantastic, with all of the right ingredients in just the right amounts. I cannot wait to come back, have an empanada or something on a Ciabatta, drink Mate and watch some awesome Argentine Futbol. After all, the world cup is coming up, and this is definitely a place to go if you are planning on cheering for Argentina!

Today was my first visit to Mia Terra and I definitely will be back. It is so much better than a chain restaurant! My sandwich was delicious — very fresh and tasty. The bread was especially good. The owners were very friendly and made the food themselves. They have a love for food and took the time to tell me about their menu. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable. The entire experience was outstanding and I will be back!

I tried out Mia Tierra on a whim one day since it’s close to my job and I was looking for a good sandwich. This place is very cozy and kept clean, and each sandwich is made to order while you wait. This place is a must try lunch spot.

This place opened earlier this week or late last week; they’re so new that the lighted sign above the door hasn’t even been put up yet. I decided to stop in and give them a try, since they’re open for breakfast on weekdays starting at 7AM. I ordered the Folditas, «A special bread filled with your choice of ham, turkey, sausage, bacon, Swiss or American cheese, and egg.» For $ 3.39, the breakfast sandwich tasted okay. It was pretty much like Subway’s(even about the same size), whose breakfast sandwiches tend to be bland. There was no additional sauce added to the breakfast sandwich like McDonald’s or any butter that I could tell. I think adding something more would’ve given the sandwich a bit more«oomph.» For breakfast, with no line, the amount of time spent going in and out of the restaurant was about 5 – 7 minutes. The owner and woman making the sandwich were friendly though. I’m willing to try this deli again. Right now they’re advertising a personal pizza for $ 5 or $ 6 with a drink. They’re also advertising a 6-in sub and a drink for $ 6, although I am surprised, considering Subway in the same strip has subs for cheaper. Nonetheless, this is an independent business, and since I try to support local family-owned places, I’ll be back.
