E & G Amish Furniture

We have bought our one and only grandson his first glider horse, an amazing toy chest, and our living room tables. Everyone loves them. I LOVE the owners and their dogs. We will be looking for a dining set there before Holidays. Walk in… I dare you to not buy.

My husband and I moved into a new home and wanted to get high quality dining room furniture that would last. We went to every furniture store around, including E&G, and no other place compared to the quality and variety that this store offered. Furthermore, the customer service is excellent.
Let me first explain the process. You are able to select anything you want and customize it. That means that if you like a particular table shape but want legs from a different table, then you can mix and match. They also have many product books that you can look through to find the perfect item/​feature you are looking for. You also get to choose fun details like number of leaves, shape of the edge (i.e. beveled), wood type and wood stain. It took us a long time to decide what we wanted but it was awesome because we got EXACTLY what we wanted.
It took about 13 weeks for our dining room table, chairs and china cabinet to be delivered. The delivery guys came to our house and moved all the furniture in with care. We had a problem with the stain on two chairs, and the manager came out himself to pick up the chair after I came home from work. He had the chairs re-​stained and re-​delivered in a timely manner. I highly recommend E&G to all my friends and family.

We’ve used E & G Amish Furniture twice. Early this year, was the first time we used them. We ordered two custom built hutches after looking everywhere else. We were worried about the stain color match to our other furniture, but the stain color was almost perfect and no one could tell the difference. They delivered the pieces as promised during the time slot they gave us.
Recently, we started looking for a wood bed frame for our king size bed. We looked in all the furniture stores in the area before going to E & G. All the big name stores we looked in had some really crappy displays. Their stated «solid wood» construction was weak and the bed frame would wobble when I moved it. For the money they were asking, we decided not to purchase anything based on the quality we saw.
We went to E & G to see if we could afford something in solid oak. Like before, James guided us to the many books to look thru based on what we wanted. All the prices were listed and there were no hidden costs (delivery was included in the price). Prices were in every range you can imagine. Much to our surprise, we found the perfect solid oak frame for a price that was lower than anything we saw elsewhere. They had a display of the one we picked out (Brooklyn Panel Bed). I tried pushing on the headboard and foot board, but the bed frame would not move one bit. They took our deposit and James told us we were looking at an 8 – 10 week build/​delivery time frame. The bed frame came in 8 weeks. We set up an 11am-​1pm time slot for a Saturday delivery. The delivery guys were knocking on the door at 11am. They set up the frame and were out in less than 45 minutes. The stain was a perfect match with our other bedroom pieces and there were no blemishes or scratches on any of the wood.
I wish I could think of some type of constructive criticism, but I can’t. I highly recommend them. Next time we won’t waste our time looking around at the other chain furniture stores. We’ll go straight to E & G.
January 2014. My daughter was moving out and needed a bunch of furniture. She and I looked at some of the area furniture stores and then decided to go to E&G. All the showroom furniture was beautiful and well made. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Not one time were they pushy like we found in the other furniture stores. They allowed my daughter to sit quietly with books and would check up on us every few minutes. She ended up ordering all her furniture from E&G. Over all, she spent a few dollars more, but the quality of material was so much better.
If you’re looking at furniture in other area stores, then look closely. There’s a difference between «solid wood» and «all wood.» Wood veneer furniture is NOT solid wood. When you’re looking at a bed frame in any furniture store try wiggling the headboard or foot board. That in itself will tell you how well it’s built. E&G is solid wood furniture that will last a lifetime.
