Dumar’s is awesome! A friend took us here for an impromptu lunch. Service is quick and the staff was very friendly. They have a porch you can sit out on to eat but it was too hot today. I ordered the lamb sandwich and a basket of fries– delicious! The lamb was cooked perfectly. The sand which was wrapped tightly and the sauce on it was so, so good! The fries were yummy also. They were beyond perfectly crispy and had some sort of heavenly seasoning on it. The restaurant was very clean. Pro tip: ask for the hot sauce, you won’t regret it! It is the perfect addition to any plate. All in all, I can’t recommend this place enough. It has a great family atmosphere and the owner is so, so nice. Side note: they repair jewelry and watches! I thought they were advertising a separate storefront but they do it all from inside!

Terrible. That’s all I can say. When I ate here a year ago, it was good, but now? It’s no where near Mediterranean food. I got the chicken kafta plate($ 11) with the beef skewer added on($ 6) and gyro salad($ 10) None of it tasted like Mediterranean food except the actual gyro in the salad. They put balsamic vinaigrette all over the salad and the kafta plate! The chicken was shit on the chicken kafta plate. I’m so upset because I hadn’t eaten all day and by reading the reviews I was assured this place was good from when I had it, but NO!!! Don’t fall for this place. Rip off. My mom didn’t eat the food except the $ 6 add-on beef skewer!

This is the worst Mediterranean restaurant I have ever been to. The fried cauliflower was soggy. The Greek salad used black olives and had no cucumber, cheap feta and was just poor quality. The chicken shawarma wad bland and nearly dried out. The fattoush salad tasted like it used a cheap store bought Italian dressing. And to top it all off the iced tea tasted old; maybe they are not properly cleaning the container or are using poor quality tea. They obviously don’t care about the quality of their food. Avoid this place at all costs.

The food is excellent, there is imported beer, and other goodies in the back like wafers and cheese. This place is a wonderland of taste!

They advertise themselves as having the best gyro in town. I don’t usually eat gyros to confirm that but I will tell you that it was super tasty. I found this tucked in the suburbs of Sugarland. Once I entered the establishment the young man at the counter was very helpful. I had told him this was my first time and that I wanted to try a gyro but really had no idea where to begin. He suggested I try the lamb gyro with extra spice. I was so amazed by the texture of the meat. Some places tend to be a bit too rubbery. This place was perfect. I am glad they made it spicy as it gave it a certain kick. Although they are known for gyros, the majority of the menu is Syrian based. I definitely enjoyed this and for $ 10 I was able to feast on a gyro, fries, and a drink! I definitely recommend you try this place.

Junk. Owner is a world class A-Hole… I use to work nights and was a semi-regular customer. I would order my food at 10:30 am when they opened and picked up on the way home at about 10:45. The last time I went in there to pick up the food the owner went off on me for ordering the food to early and that no one should eat a gyro this early and«What is wrong with you?»… He then asked me to wait because the order wasn’t ready. His wife was obviously embarrassed. I told him to shove it. Will never go back. That was last summer.

The manager and servers were great. My husband enjoyed his gyro combo platter, I wish I ordered his meal. My gyro was ok but my greek salad did not taste very good because the dressing taste like balsalmic vinaigrette and didnt have the best presentation. Over all the food was ok.

If you want authentic shawarma and gyro, this is the place to be. I find myself here almost every week with my work buddies. When I introduced then to this place, I was kinda worried they wouldn’t like it, because they’ve never tried this type of food before… But they ended up loving it. Their seasoned fries are the bomb! Wait, Is it okay to say that…

I’m so happy I got lost and ended up in front of Dumars. I had the gyro wrap, hummus and pita bread. it was delicious. I can’t wait to try the other items on the menu. I totally recommend this gem of a place.

This place is always a safe bet. The food is good, reasonably priced, and the staff is always friendly. I love supporting family owned/run businesses, and it’s very clear that Dumar’s is just that. We often see the owner visiting with friends and the regulars(we are somewhat regular, but not enough to be household names haha). The atmosphere could use a little work though. The idea of trying to turn your business into a Mediterranean grill, watch/jewelry repair shop, and quazi-convenience store is a bit much. Stick with the Mediterranean theme and run with it. The gyro’s are delicious, as is everything else I’ve tried. I’d say go for it!

What a nice surprise. I’ve lived in this area for 14 years and never knew Dumar’s was here for 9 of them. Best falafel I have ever had. Holloumi cheese appetizer is delicious. Delicious gyros. Delicious shawarma. Bashar is a welcoming owner and has truly mastered the traditional recipes.

Good food, fries are especially awesome. I recommend the kafta kabob! The vermicelli rice was delicious too. A bit more expensive than I would’ve expected though.

Great lunch. Gyro was hot and fresh, the meat tender and spiced to perfection. Totally recommend the french fries that come crispy and hot. Not a soggy fry in the bunch. Little shop in the back sells tea, dry goods, olive oil, olives and a selection of Mediterranean cheeses. Nice atmosphere and a little patio out front.

I have only gotten the falafel plate here, but my family gets a variety of foods and they are satisfied with this place as well. I hear the veggie burger is as delicious as any olé beef burger. Service is good, prices are affordable. Only thing is they close quite early.

Dumars is wonderful, the staff is very attentive, and I enjoy supporting smaller businesses. I always get the gyro or the gyro plate which comes with rice and a salad with a vinegar balsamic dressing. I haven’t tried much anything else but I’m sure the entire menu is wonderful. Their Layered pastry is wonderful as well. They carry several kinds of Toblerone and has a mini market in the back. Very unique place!

I love the chicken shawarma it’s one of the best meals in the café personally at least and my dad loves the gyro they mom also loves the yogurt drinks they sell in the back. its like a café and a small grocery store they sell mostly Mediterranean herbs and spices and other products with a variety of drink and foreign imported beers. All in all its a great place and if its your first time ask for the card that gives you a free sandwich after purchasing 5 meals there. There is also free wifi.

Ok, I’m impressed with the food. Yes it’s a little weird there’s a jewelry repair and mini-market in the back but man, the food is . Order at the counter, find a seat, and then be amazed. Everything was delicious– spicy hummus, greek salad, chicken kabob plate, gyro, and baklava. Hubby and I enjoyed every bite. I can’t wait to try the regular hummus and other items. I hope it’s all just as good. I do wish they didn’t «reheat» the meat on the flattop grill. The owner was kind, service was good, a little pricey but the food is great.

They have a sign that says best gyro in town and I agree! The first time I walked in this place, I immediately knew that I found a great place to go for lunch since I work in the area. The owner knew that it was my first time, so he asked if I needed help with the menu. I told him I was fine, but that showed me that he knows all of his customers which is pretty impressive. The gyro is my favorite dish here. You can get it spicy or not. Its a good size and there’s a generous portion of meat. You can’t go wrong with this. I always get extra tzaziki because theirs is really good. Their kibbeh is good, so is the hummus. The gyro salad is a good option if you’re craving a gyro but you’re not eating carbs. I haven’t had a bad dish yet! They also do lunch cards, so if you get a certain amount of punches, you get a free meal.
