This was the most unprofessional doctor I’ve ever been to. Insisting I show up 30min early for an appointment, 2 emails and a phone call to ensure I’m coming, they want to make sure you don’t waste their time, but have no qualms about wasting yours. No apology from the doctor for having me wait for over an hour. Not to mention my time they wasted having me fill out all the paperwork online at home beforehand, then telling me to fill it all out again in the office, not giving me all the paperwork to fill out, and the doctor acted like none of it was her problem. I made an appointment for 2pm. The receptionist told me I would need to be there at 1:30pm. I received an email to create an account on her website and fill out all the paperwork online. I received 2 subsequent reminder emails and a phone call to make sure I’d be coming. I arrive and am handed the standard paperwork to fill out… which I already did online. I tell her I already filled it out online, and she asks if I printed it out and brought it with me. Why would I? Nobody said I should print it out. She said it’s just too hard for the girls to get it from the computer, and I’d need to fill it all out again(then what’s the point of having me fill out the paperwork online!?). So I do all the paperwork. Again. I am called back a bit before 2, where the friendly office manager asks me standard questions. Then she says that the person who gave me the paperwork to fill out did not give me all of it. She never gives me whatever was supposedly missing to fill out, so I don’t know what happened there. Now to wait for Dr. Alexander. The office manager pops in to let me know that she’s been called to the hospital nearby, but that she’ll be back soon. So I wait, and wait, and wait. Nearly an hour later Dr. Alexander finally shows up, no apology for being so late to a 2pm appointment her staff insisted I show up at 1:30 for. I asked her what’s going on with the paperwork, and if there’s a problem with the site since I had to fill it all out again once I got here. She says she has no idea what’s going on with that and that I’d have to ask the office manager about it. Excuse me? This is her practice, yet she’s acting like it’s not her problem. I guess she thought better of what she said and subsequently gives a quick sorry. When I finally go to pay at the desk, I’m told that I need to walk around and back out to the waiting room, and up to the window where I checked in because the office is shared and apparently the other doctor got the entirety of the desk on the other side. What kind of ridiculousness is this? They have no consideration for the patient’s time, they’re only concerned with making sure you don’t waste theirs. If you’re going to be so late to an appointment, you should be extremely apologetic, and they need to sort out the mess that is the paperwork. I had to take off work to come here, and I regret not just walking out after the doctor didn’t show up for so long.
