Sugar Hill Subs

Wow! My only regret is not trying this place sooner! We ordered takeout and it’s the best meal I’ve had in a long time. We ordered the Gyro (fantastic – the hummus addition adds a perfect flare!), two falafel sandwiches (one spicy for Hubby; one not spicy for me) and a steak sandwich.
The falafel is great and perfectly seasoned! The cucumbers are thinly sliced and do not overpower any single bite! The feta is spread perfectly across the bottom of the pita so you get a little bit of every piece in every bite. De-​licious!
The gyro is also fantastic. The perfectly toasted pita, balanced with the right amount of lettuce, tomato, freshly made hummus (!), and tszaziki sauce make it an overall winner :)
The steak sandwich is perfectly seasoned. My Hubby ordered that and he will post a separate review., I had a bite and will order it next time so I can have more
Finally, the baklava. My hubby tried to steal my triangle (he had his own) but he knows better than to eat anything tasty and not share it with me :-) It was to die for.
I’m pretty sure we just found another go-​to place for our take out dinners!

This unassuming sub shop is just as all previous Unilocalers have described! I had a gyro and chips, it was delicious, hot, and fresh. Can’t wait to go back!

What a great surprise. You would not know it from the outside, but the food is amazing. The owner knows how to bring out great taste in what seems to be an ordinary sandwich. The addition of her humus and her hot sauce to the Giro put the taste over the top.
We also had their Steak bowl. It’s like combining a Philly cheese steak, a French dip, and a sourdough soup bowl. The au jus was homemade and pulled everything together.
Finally we had an amazing cup of homemade tomato soup.
This was our first visit, but we will now be regulars.

This was everything I had expected it would be. The reviews were quite accurate. The food was wonderful, the owner was amazing, and everything tasted very fresh. The selection, for such a small place, was quite a bit larger than I had expected. My husband got the Italian and I got some type of turkey club on wheat. Both were delicious.

This was a wonderful experience. Owners were awesome and the sandwiches were killer good. If I lived in this area, it would be a regular spot for my husband and I. I had the Turkey Bacon Guacamole all the way on a flat bread and he had the Italian sub on wheat. Both were tasty little gems, next time I’ll try soup as it smelled wonderful in there and I suspect the soup aroma made that happen. If We will come back around this are, I’d surely stop again!

Friendly mom and pop sub shop. This is what you’ve been missing for lunch. Best hidden gem in sugar hill! They will treat you like family and offer great service and genuine gratitude for your business, something that is almost impossible to find these days.

Do not let the look from outside fool you. Give the place a try like we did and you won’t be disappointed. We even went back to buy their chicken salad to make dinner at home and at a very reasonable price too. We’ve definitely became fans of this little sub place.

Friendly, clean and delicious. This place is a diamond in the rough. Subs, Gyros homemade soups and Indian specials. Give it a try and you will return. I know I will.

A hidden gem! Decided to try this place out and it was a win! Had the falafel, and man was the best falafel sandwich I’ve ever had! Will definitely be back for more!

The owner makes the food homemade and really cares about your dining experience. She’s so sweet, you feel like you are eating at your Mom’s table. Indian homemade dishes in Friday and Saturday. So glad we stumbled in here today. No more compressed meat at Subway!

My daughter and I along with the kids wanted a quick, affordable also good lunch so we decided to have lunch at Sugar Hill Subs. This place met all our wants plus the service was excellent very friendly. Will definitely eat there again

From the minute we walked in the door, I knew the reviews were right. I must say, the sweetest people ever!!! Cuban sandwich was delish! I hate that I live 200+ miles away. We were at a convention at a church nearby. Will definitely go back the next time in the area. You guys are awesome!!!

I’ve been here several times and have tried the gyro, falafel and baklava. It is hands-​down the best gyro I have ever eaten! The owner is incredibly friendly and always explains items to me. She said that she makes the tzatziki sauce herself each day and eats a falafel each day as well.
The location is very unimpressive – in the corner of the Quality Foods shopping center with some other random businesses. Do not let this deter you though! Give it a shot – I’m sure you will not be disappointed!

This was my first visit. I thought it was just a sub shop. Nope! On Fridays and Saturdays they have what’s called Hot Plate Authentic Indian food. It just happened to be Saturday so I tried the special and my wife had the Baja Chicken Sub on wheat. The food was absolutely fantastic! I’m considering coming back for dinner. I tried my wife’s sub. Hands down best sub ever! Can’t believe I’ve never been here! This is my new favorite restaurant and I’m blowing this place up on social media! BAM! The owners were so nice and personable! I just felt like I should throw that in there. I mean, who likes crappy service and a bad attitude? These people were awesome!

This place was a Quizno’s at one time, but has been family-​owned for several years. We had never opted to try it until last month, when we were en route to an evening boat outing at the lake. We were planning to take dinner out on the boat, and this place was on the way. When we were there, only the owner was on duty making the sandwiches. This slowed down the ordering /​prep a bit but the results were worth it. She is fairly conversational and friendly. Later, when we got a chance to eat, the subs were quite good. I’m planning to go back.

Everything we have had here has been delicious. The owners are ALWAYS lovely to chat with, no matter what kind of day I’m having.
Daughter’s favorite is broccoli cheese soup in a bread bowl. Mine is whatever the special is on Friday: a traditional Indian dish. We also love the subs, and of course the hot dogs.

Came here for the first time to pick up some dinner and wow, I first get greeted by the owner who was so sweet and welcoming. I initially came for the chicken tikka masala wraps to find out that she only makes Indian food on Fridays. Since she said I wasn’t the first person to ask, she will be making it this Friday (WOOHOO!!!)
She insisted I try the gyro because it is the most popular thing on the menu, and now I know why. It is seriously so yummy and maybe I’m just on a food high, but the pita bread tasted super fresh and so yum yum in my tum tum. We ordered 2 gyros 2 fries and 1 bowl of broccoli cheddar soup (I added some sriracha sauce for some spiceand OMGGGG SO GOOD).
I love to support local businesses and love how friendly and great the customer service was, as well as the delicious food. I will definitely be back.
