My oldest nephew, he is a badass. I remember the day he was born, was the same day the GA Aquarium opened, and believe it or not, I went to the aquarium first! But it was to get him a gift. A big olé fish, and a baby baseball cap.
Needless to say almost 8 years later, well, I am for certain he can’t fit in that cap anymore, but I can tell you he plays sports, and lots of them. I can’t even keep up! He is a sweet ball of energy that I sure miss. You would think I am writing a review on my nephew, but I promise, this has a point.
I think as of late, he plays roller hockey and baseball. On his most recent baseball team, he ended up winning the championship! That was so cool. After I saw the kind of practices they had, I can see why! No, they didn’t beat the kids and make them carry rocks for miles, but they did have an indoor training facility, voila!
I had the pleasure to drop him off twice, and to see what this place was all about. I tell you what, we had batting cages when I used to play ball, but not like this!
It is a warehouse in pretty much the middle of nowhere, which has its ups and downs (I would say its about 10 minutes from «dtown» Suwanee). Make sure you look for the blue roof, or you might miss it!
When you walk in, there is a waiting area, with games and tvs to keep the parents occupied. There are plenty of supplies to borrow as well, but I am pretty sure everyone has their own equipment.
There are a few cages, and an open area, all on turf. There are pitching machines as well in there, which was cool. It was pretty much an indoor arena to hit the crap out of some balls. Let me in a cage and rage!
I honestly do not know what the pricing is (I’m sorry), but I am sure it is worth the money. I like how they offer classes as well, and hitting clinics too. For people wanting to learn or work on their fundamentals in a controlled environment, I think this would be a great place to start!
