Sara took newborn photos of my daughter when she was 10 days old. She was so gentle and caring for her. You can tell she loves babies and shared lots of stories and advise which was great. I’ll forever treasure the photo’s she took they are absolutely beautiful and I look at them every day. They are priceless and I couldn’t have asked for anything more! I will definitely be back for a 6 month photo session!

An absolute joy to work with. We found Sara as our wedding photographer through a mutual friend. From the first email through the end of our reception Sara was enthusiastic, professional, funny and so great.
Her rates are as reasonable as you can get in the greater Boston area for this caliber of photography. She was everything you want your photographer to be: prompt, energetic, working the whole time, but never making our wedding feel like an elongated, painful photo shoot. She wrangled the wedding party photos– including lots of little kids– with ease; she shot the most gorgeous photos of me and my husband and still had us up at our cocktail hour in as brief an amount of time as possible. At one point we wanted to use a few balloons that my ring bearer had carried, but they were tied to a bench and she said and I quote: «I will gnaw them off with my teeth if I have to» DEDICATED and hilarious, she was a perfect fit for us.
It’s important to note that on your wedding day, you and your spouse spend quite a bit of emotionally charged time with your photographer– the moments just before and after you’ve made a BIG giant commitment to each other. We were able to look at each other and simply absorb it all and she captured images of this without being intrusive in the least. She put us at ease and made us feel comfortable– which is completely priceless in a wedding situation.
She also had a preview up for us in ONE day. In one day we had a gorgeous slide show of some of her best shots. And her turn around time for the totality of the wedding photos is usually around 8 – 12 weeks, depending on how busy a time of year it is. To give a little perspective– some of the more expensive photographers in Boston and the South Shore don’t get you your photos for a YEAR. Who wants to wait that long? They are the most exciting photos of your life– you want em soon!
Sara is amazing– book her now, before she gets too expensive, because what I see happening for her is that her business will blow up and she will be one of the Boston area’s most sought after wedding photographers– with good reason! She is the REAL DEAL.

Sara is fantastic. She made my infant and my toddler feel at ease and managed to calm them down. She is extremely organized, has a beautiful and the final pictures are just amazing.

If there were ten (10) stars, that still would not be enough to describe how much we’ve enjoyed working with Sara! She was/​is AMAZING!!! Sara was a referral from a family member who had seen her at another wedding. Right from the start, I liked her. She was open and honest about what she could do, and she listened to what we had envisioned for our day. We talked quite a few times before the wedding, and she was always extremely engaged in the process. When the day finally came, she arrived bright and early, and just meandered all over the place taking pictures. Family and friends commented on her throughout the day… she was inside, outside, but never obtrusive. She was incredible with my family, which was a challenge in itself! I had sent her a list prior to the wedding of all the names of the people she would be taking portraits of, and who they were. When the time came to do so, she knew everyone, and was able to jump right into conversations, and keep the flow of people moving along. We stuck to the schedule, and managed to get all the photos done. During the course of the reception, I don’t ever recall seeing her, but within 24hrs. of the reception ending, beautiful pictures appeared online, and our day unfolded. I could not believe the images and emotions she was able to capture… and I was not the only one who noticed. Countless amount of emails from friends and family, both who had attended and some who hadn’t, were stunned at the magnificence of the photos. The people that were there could not believe how she truly captured the essence of the day. And for those friends and family who were unable to attend, they said the pictures drew them in in such a way that they felt like they were there. This has to be the greatest compliment I would think a photographer could get. So without any hesitation, I would highly recommend Sara Colket for ANY occasion in which you may be looking for a photographer! You will not find a person more committed to paying attention to every detail of your day, with more imagination or warmth, with a work ethic to boot! Thank you Sara!!! xoxo

I decided to hire a photographer for my son & two nephew’s baptism. I did a little research & e-​mailed a few photographers. Sara responded to my email quick. I loved the pictures on her website & after emailing her a couple times, I just felt that she was the one. She was very knowledgeable & easy to work with as far as timing & such. Being 3000 miles away & not knowing the area AT ALL, this was INVALUABLE! :o)
When the day finally came, with three babies under 9 months, of course we were running late. :o) Sara was there & had already started taking pictures of the church & the guests as they were arriving. Sara worked so well with all of our family, friends & even the pushy priest. :o) It was very obvious from the beginning that Sara was great with children & babies. My son was in love with her!
She was a wonderfully calming force in the craziness that was that afternoon!
Sara e-​mailed a couple BEAUTIFUL teaser pictures within a few days. Within a few days of that she had all the ceremony pictures up on the website. WOW!!! I was amazed at the wonderful shots she got! I swear she must have had an assistant with her, I thought she was near us the whole time but yet there were pictures from the back of the church & even the balcony.
A short time after she finished editing the ceremony pictures, the rest of them were done & up on the website. WOW!!! By looking at the pictures, you would never guess that the weather was cloudy & rainy! I am SO in love with the pictures Sara took. She is such an AMAZING photographer!
I recommend her to anyone looking for a great photographer! Not only does she do amazing work, she is such a nice person, so easy to work with & so affordable. I am bummed that I can’t use her for all my events (that whole 3000 mile thing) & will be jealous when my sister-​in-​law does! :o)

GREAT PERSON, GREAT PHOTOGRAPHER!!!
My wife and I got married back in January. Towards the end of the year last year we were looking for a photographer for our wedding. My wife, Kaitlin, found Sara online and began looking through her albums. Her photos were amazing! At the time she did not have many wedding pics up but mentioned on her site that she would have some soon, as she was beginning to get more and more into wedding photography. We decided to call and talk to her about our wedding and her prices. From the moment she answered the phone she was very professional, excited, and easy going. At the time we had been up in the air with some guy wanting to shoot for free for his portfolio and it was a possibility that we would want Sara to be our second shooter. However, a couple weeks before the wedding, this guy stopped answering any phone calls and dropped us completely. I called Sara worried about having already confirmed her as a secondary photographer. She immediately assured me that she would be totally fine with switching last minute and being our main photographer. She told us that this was going to be the best day of our lives and that the LAST thing we needed to worry about was not having a photographer. She would be there no matter what. She was SO encouraging and easy to work with.
I am SOOOOO glad this happened! Sara gave us an AMAZING deal! We met her for coffee right down the street from my wife’s home and discussed all of the details. The wedding day went PERFECT. Sara handled all of my crazy rambunctious groomsmen, who do not listen well, without being rude. She really knows how to keep things moving smoothly without ever losing her fun sense of humor. Because my hometown is across the country from Boston, where we got married, we had a big reception back at my home two weeks after the wedding. SHE HAD 192 PICTURES READY JUST FOR OUR RECEPTION!!! She went above and beyond by putting them together in a slideshow and everything.
We love every picture she took and would DEFINITELY recommend her to ANYONE needing a photographer! Someday down the road when Kaitlin and I have children, we plan to look Sara up when we go to visit Boston so that we can have her photograph our children!

My fiancé and I were in the market for a photographer. We’d considered many options, including hiring a photography student looking to beef up their portfolio. Then I stumbled across Sara’s photoblog. It was obvious that she had talent.
From her blog it appeared that she’d been a professional photographer for several years shooting primarily child/​maternity/​family sessions and was only recently breaking into shooting weddings. At the time she’d only shot one or two weddings but the results were fantastic. So I shot her an email to see about an engagement shoot.
Not only did the photos for the engagement shoot turn out great but my fiancé and I both felt very comfortable with her. She’s sarcastic and has a great sense of humor like us so we were immediately at ease, and it shows in the photos. She was great with the turn around time, basically had them completely touched up and edited in the exact time she’d stated it would take. Since then she’s done some more weddings and the photos posted on her website/​photo blog demonstrate consistent high quality talent.
Once we received our digital proofs we immediately decided we were going to sign on with her for the wedding. Her prices are more than reasonable, she’s got boat loads of talent and you feel like you can be yourself while she snaps away. Highly recommend.
