Amazing food! Tried so much food with my family for my birthday! We shared everything and Raul, our waiter, was amazing with all of his suggestions! Brussel Sprouts, Buffalo Style Cauliflower, Mac N Cheese Fritters, Vanilla Beet Salad, Walnut Cranberry Salad, Browned Butternut Squash Flatbread, Heirloom Tomato Flatbread, Banana Cream Pie and Chocolate Banana Bread pudding with Nutella! Amazing and the service was awesome!

A delightful establishment visited for the first time tonight for my friend’s birthday dinner. The dozen of our group ordered various items so I heard that the turkey burger was delicious(ordered by four of us), two had pizzas(which were shared and I thought were quite good). The Grilled Salmon Salad I had was both delicious and satisfying. For dessert I enjoyed the Pear Cobbler. The Six seems to be well stocked with beers, ales, and wines, but doesn’t yet carry any hard ciders. I hope that the Peach Cobbler may someday return to the menu. As the evening went on the restaurant filled up and became pretty noisy from conversation, which is pretty typical for a full establishment during peak dinner hours. * Unlike the experience of the reviewer from 01-24-2016, I’m glad to report that the servers checked on our table frequently for drink refills, clearing table, and taking orders. We arrived in the early evening and found good parking in front of the restaurant. I really enjoyed my dinning experience at The Six and look forward to going back to have brunch !

I have been consistently coming to The Six because I noticed that the new Owner/Manager is really making some cool changes to the place and bringing in Live Jazz Music on Friday. Saturday is Live Blues night. Monday is Comedy Night — free admission/half off bar! Chef Raul Silos, has been busy creating fresh Brunch dishes and the Happy Hour menu 3 – 6 every day is a must. It’s Saturday, and I just ordered the Six Burrito and the Bottomless Mimosas! I’m lucky I can walk home … Ha! Great atmo. Fresh menu. Good flavor & healthy choices for those who care about that stuff … Thumbs Up

Whoever is running the restaurant has no idea what they’re doing. I’ll try to make this long story short, but there was a lot of bad experienced here… Sunday. We are a group of 3 wanting a nice brunch and can’t decide between this place and The Federal. We call each. The Federal says they’ve got a 45 min. wait, and The Six has a wait of only 20 min. So of course we head there. We get there and put our name in. We wait, we wait, wait. We watch parties of 2 who have come in long after us get sat, on tables that can EASILY fit a party of 3. All 3 of us in are party are in the restaurant industry, so we maintain our cool. After 45 min. of waiting we check in the with the host. There are still 5 parties ahead of us. So we step out and regroup. We call The Federal, their wait has now bumped up to an hour and 45, so we’re stuck. We check with the host and she says it shouldn’t be too much longer. So after much debate, we decide to stay. We struggle to find a seat at the bar, which is packed with other pissed off people waiting. After another 45 min. we talk to the host again, she PROMISES us they are getting a table cleaned off for us. So we relax a bit and attempt to get a mimosa while we wait… 25 minutes pass, nothing. We are so pissed the sweet bartender calms us down by presenting us with the blessed mimosas we have been dying for. The host then approaches us this time, tells us(this time) our table is getting cleaned off. We don’t see her for another 15 – 20 minutes after that… Now, there is something to be said when we got there at 11:30 am, it is now almost 2 pm, the end of their brunch, and we have barely been able to order 1 mimosa while we wait. We get it, we really do, WEWORKINTHEINDUSTRY! Patience and understanding are our middle names! But this was the final straw. We got up(and we hate people who do this, we really do) and found the first person who worked there who even remotely looked like he knew what he was doing, and we tore the poor guy’s head off. There was no one there of authority to talk us off of our ledge. We were hungry, we were thirsty, this was our only time off before we ourselves had to go to work and do this very same thing. It was an absolute madhouse in there with no one running the show. Alright, so this turned out to be a long story but I’ll wrap it up now, Raul, the poor guy who had to hear all our angry rants handled us like a champion. He got us started with food even though brunch had ENDED(brunch ends at 2 mind you) and we STILLDIDN’T HAVE A TABLE, and he apologized profusely on behalf of the establishment, which he shouldn’t have had to do. Give that guy a promotion, because he is the most friendly, professional, capable person in the entire building. If I ever come back, it will because of him. *The only reason I give this place 1 star is because of their food, it was, though I hate to admit it, very delicious. Good job on that guys, your chefs saved your butts. Even now a week later and I am still angry. We really wanted to like you guys, but you made sure to make a terrible first impression with us.

I have been here for brunch a few times. We were a party of 5 with a reservation at 12:45, and for some reason weren’t seated til 1:05(cutting into mimosa time) but we still went for it! Mimosas — great! never found the bottom and with a good ratio. Food — I had the PB& J french toast. A bit disappointed, there wasn’t much peanut butter on it, tons of strawberry jam though. And I do wish the toast was cooked a bit more as it was pretty soft from the moment I started eating it. Service — wonderful, Jenn and Kirstie(I’m sorry if I spelled your names wrong!) are killer. They’re quick and attentive and very kind! Only major issue was the feeling of being rushed at the very end as they had rented out the patio to a baby shower party and they began their set-up halfway into our meal.

Love The Six! I came here for the first time yesterday with family for my birthday lunch. I made a reservation on OpenTable and we were seated immediately. Our server was really sweet, but could have checked in a little bit more(drink refills, etc) Overall, I loved the vibe of this place and the food was really good. I got the Mac n Cheese fritters and the Buffalo Cauliflower. They were both excellent. The fritters were so filling with the perfect creaminess inside and crunchiness on the outside. Unilocal users get a free Banana Crème Pie upon first check in(with oreo crust, YUM) but our server didn’t make me use my check in and brought me one for my birthday so I could use the check in another time. I’ve heard this place does a local discount on Monday nights and I will definitely be back to try it out at dinner time.

Went here for Sunday brunch and it was amazing! I had there waffles which were bomb. My whole table had bottomless mimosas which are a pretty good price. It was 15 $ the place is very reasonable for prices. Because I checked in they gave us a free dessert which was cool cause the dessert was delicious. I really love that is so hipster. It’s super cute. Not gonna lie though the service was a bit slow only because there was a lot of people. And we had a table of 10 and they put us in a very small seating place so it was pretty squished and we even had a reservation so it would have been Bigger but what can we do. Other than that I love this place will definitely be back to try more of their stuff.

New to town, we decided to try this cute vintage looking restaurant. Came in and got to sit where ever we pleased. At first service was great but then out waiter disappeared for long periods of times and it wasn’t busy at all. But the food was great! Wasn’t even don’t with half of my meal & I was full, I had to take yummy leftovers. Definitely recommend this place to anyone passing through LA.

Really surprised I did not find this place sooner. It’s on a curve so may be. Ambiance outside is beautiful. Well thought out. Food, YUM. Craft beers, AMAZING mixed drinks. Came for comedy night on Monday, didn’t expect this place to be so cozy. Great find for date night!

Overall a wonderful restaurant for friends and family to gather. Also a nice outdoor patio area and live music a few days a week. Food is all delicious and fresh. I recommend the chicken and waffles!

What a nice restaurant! The drinks are great — it is considered wine and beer, but they have wonderful soju and other substitutes to make great Moscow mules, etc. The service is wonderful — especially if you get seated with Raul. Honestly, I normally don’t like dessert, but the banana cream pie was absolutely incredible. The Brussels sprouts were incredible! We were a party of 4, and given the Unilocal reviews knew the sliders came as 3 so we asked for a fourth of everything that came with 3 and they were super accommodating and only charged a little bit for the addition! Great restaurant.

I’ve been here a few times now so I think it’s time for a review. The Six is a nice and cozy place. Definitely great for date night. The host and hostesses are always nice and friendly. I truly love this place cause you can get a fancy plate of Chicken and Waffles. Which by the way is amazing. Waffles are a bit tiny but still real good. And love the fact that’s it’s boneless chicken. There food is always on point. We’ve tried pizzas and sandwiches and several other foods and they never disappoint. There’s some seating inside and also a patio area in the back. They have heaters outside for those cold nights. And the place is very nicely decorated.

Overpriced mediocre food. We had brunch here on a Sunday a few weeks back. We had reservations for a party of 5 for 12:15pm and were quickly seated in the outside patio area. Place is hipster, with a bar, tables and stools inside and plenty of tables and seating outside. The was also live music that day. Here’s the rundown: 1. Took the waitress a long time to take our orders and bring out the drinks 2. 45 mins has passed, no sign of the food and the waitress never bothered to stop by to give us status 3. We had to flag down another server to assist with refilling waters and the mimosas 4. Waitress later stopped by to refill the drinks and advised the kitchen is backed up; it made no sense as a party of the same size across from us and a party of 2 right next to us who both arrived later than us, had already received their food? 5. Took a while to get our bill 6. We were only able to get 2 refills for the bottomless mimosa as service was so slow 7. Six Burger was okay; lacking the juiciness when biting into it(medium rare), a bit dry, needed more sauce or something, brioche was decent 8. Parmesan truffle fries — can definitely taste the truffle(yum) but the fries was too salty 9. Hay stack — overall was salty 10. Chicken meatballs — good Gave another star as the manager stopped by to apologize for the delay and discounted the bill. Parking is scarce in the front; additional street parking and meter parking across the street

I love the Brunch here, its great!!! I think having the bottomless mimosa brunch on both Saturday and Sunday is a great idea(2 hour max), if you think its too hectic on sunday then try a saturday! They offer these two amazing deals as well: Neighborhood Night Mondays, 25% off after 6 pm Wine Wednesdays, ½ off selected bottles **Ambiance is great, chill, sometimes they have live music. **Service the first time was awesome! **Service the second time was great too EXCEPT they forgot our food lol. No problem they were happy to comp our meal. Apologized, no rudeness, we are understandable people. It was busy. I would say that would be my only complain, which was easily fixed with great customer service. :) *The first time my friend and I came here was on a Saturday, we had purchased a travelzoo which was an awesome deal if you would like to try the brunch. I ordered the hay stack which is a bed of french fries, ½ pound burger patty, cheddar cheese, fried egg, chopped onion, gravy. I didnt love it but its not bad. My friend ordered the breakfast sandwich which was GREAT. Mimosas thumbs up. *second time I ordered the the burger which is delicious. I recommend it. *As for the banana cream pie slice, I personaly didn’t love it but you should give it a try if you have the craving.

We had a great experience. From the host to our server, everything was perfect. Our server was a lovely blond named Percy? Not sure, but she was awesome and very sweet. You get a free banana crème pie with your first Unilocal check-in if you spend more than $ 20, so make sure to get it. The turkey sloppy joe’s were delicious. If you like flavorful foods then it’s a must-have. I had the BBT pizza. Not bad. Wasn’t crazy about the salmon salad tho. Service was great and the food was good. Would come back to brunch here and try that out. 3.5 solid stars, but the great service made it a 4 star review.

Don’t be fooled by the low star rating. This restaurant is top notch! I will admit I was a bit hesitant to come when I saw the rating, but decided to take a chance. I am so glad I did. The service was great! Everyone was very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing! Every dish we ordered was so good. My favorite was the honey Sriracha turkey meatballs. It was perfection. So much flavor, and it comes out looking so beautiful on the cutting board. We ate all of it and could have had more! The chicken and Brie sandwich was delicious too! The cheese was so melty and the cranberries gave it the perfect amount of sweetness. I loved everything about this lunch. Thank you for the good food and the great service. I Definitely recommend eating here!

Braised Short Rib Tacos: Explosion of flavor in your month. Just enough moist/spiciness with a hint of smoky flavor to make your mouth wanting more(I am the ultimate wimp when it comes to spice levels so food with peppers will make me sweat. But trust me, these tacos are well worth it! Mushroom Tapenada Pizza: Good ratio with ingredients(not too much but not too little) Crust: Thin, slightly crispy, and soft on the inside. The truffle oil is the icing on this flavorful pie Décor: Modern rustic Italian Atmosphere: Chill and friendly(mind you, my gf and I were in our workout clothes)…no stress no dress code. Service: Friendly, informative, and attentive. Emily was on point with our mimosas making sure it never goes empty. Plus: Many gluten free/vegetarian options

Dine L.A. #7…What a perfectly lovely way to wrap up two weeks of exploring new places(and visiting old favorites). The Six is located on the Ventura curve and during Dine L.A., they offered a fabulous lunch for $ 20. For the appetizer course, I chose the fashionable vegetable of the moment: the braised Brussels sprouts. These were amazing, glazed with soy, vinegar and cilantro and served in a mini cast iron skillet. For the main course, I chose the Six Burger: served on a brioche bun with tomato, Maytag blue cheese, onion rings, butter lettuce and 1,000 Isle dressing. This burger was the best I’ve had in a long time, savory and satisfying. In fact, it was so good that I didn’t leave room for the free banana cream pie that Unilocalers get with a check-in. And you know I’m all about dessert! I enjoyed the décor of the place which had a comfortable and cool ambiance with interesting design features and hanging photographs of iconic stars of the past: Steve McQueen, Bruce Lee, Cary Grant & Audrey Hepburn– to name a few. This all adds up to one thing: I’ll have to make a special trip back to the Six for more savory goodies and that banana cream pie…

Went for lunch today for one of my girlfriend’s birthdays. Here are some highlights! 1. Parking is valet or there is plenty of space on the street(meter) or at next door businesses 2. The interior is super cute. Really nice décor 3. They accommodated a large group just fine! 4. Service was good. My drink was always refilled. Food didn’t take too long. 5. Food– we had Mac n cheese fritters. YUM! Get those for sure. The fried pickles were really good too. We had an omelet as our main dish. Is was ok. Want to try the flatbread pizza next time.
