2nd review: I was driving through that area again so decided to drop by to see if it was open. The hours had changed, the website is still outdated, and they never answer their phone or answered my email asking about their hours. On to the food, I ordered a classic prosciutto which wasn’t bad. My friend ordered the classic caprese and added prosciutto, it tasted like mine but with basil. My other friend ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was really bland and disappointing, no flavor at all. There was a bottle of hot sauce with lime that helped a bit… Not a big deal, but I don’t like when you ask for water and they charge you for a bottle of water without telling you they only have bottled water. One more thing that bugged me: my friend asked for a 32 oz drink. Instead of saying they don’t have that size, they give her a 20oz drink. My friend is surprised and says«This is a 32oz??» to which they pause then say«…yes.» when obviously it’s not. Later on they tell her that she can get one refill.

Had a Groupon for Press Panini and had never been here before. The shop is in that nice little strip of shops on Tujunga just south of Moorpark. Nice neighborhood with plenty of parking in the lots. I got a meal combo: Panini, drink, and soup, salad or chips. The Italian panini was pretty good, a bit salty though. For a «classic Itialian» I was expecting a bit more flavor. I had narrowed my choices down to the Italian and the salami and I think I should have had the salami. 8^(I had the bean and lentil soup which was really delicious. Very thick with a lot of beans and lentils. Their pricing is a bit higher than I feel like spending. My combo was $ 14. Luckily my Groupon was for $ 15(I paid $ 7) and I felt good about that. For $ 14 I was expecting a bit more knock-your-socks-off but it was just… OK. Maybe I just had the wrong sandwich. Unless something really turns me off, I always like to give a place a second go around. I have another Groupon so I’ll make a return visit and maybe see if I missed something. If I did, I will most certainly update this review.

I don’t come here very often, but every time I do, I end up really enjoying my lunch. They do one thing pretty much and they do it well… they make great panini’s. I tend to go with the classic caprese which is light, tasty and, I imagine, relatively healthy which is a plus. The guys that work here are really friendly too and try really hard to please. That being said, I have only two minor complaints… 1)The place is small and there’s never more then 2 people working. That means if you get there and there are more then 2 people in front of you, be prepared to WAIT a while! This is just a warning for those of you who have limited time for lunch. And while I’ve never had a problem, there is also limited seating. 2)Prices are a tad high for what you get. Not so high that it stops me from going from time to time, but enough so that I only go here when I am really in the mood. With a drink, panini, chips & tip you won’t get out of there for under 13 bucks. Not horrible, but a little pricey for the area none the less. If you eat there you must sit in the back and check out the old fortune teller box hung on the wall… very cool

My friend and I dropped by Press Panini last week to use one of her Groupon discounts. My friend kept mentioning to me that the paninis there were quite tasty. I had read a few Unilocal reviews and was a bit iffy. I must say that I am glad I discovered it on my own, because it is a quaint little sandwich shop. We arrived in the evening. The service was friendly and warm. I was smittened by the amount of Locals in the area walking their dogs. In fact, it is a dog-friendly, eclectic street that’s great for people watching. I ordered a delicious chicken parmigana panini with a side of grilled vegetable salad and a soda for $ 12.99. The bread was light and tasty. The chicken was grilled and juicy and topped with the right amount of sauce and cheese. I liked the healthy portion of lettuce, tomato, and onions too. Had there been some extra virgin olive oil and sea salt condiments on the counter, by golly this panini would have been perfect. My friend ordered the sandwich combo too with the cuban panini, which she says was quite delightful. With the trusty Groupon, our bill was ridiculously discounted! That is one heck of a deal for grabbing a quick bite to eat!!! Overall, the service was nice and the paninis were on the healthy side, yet tasty. I give the Press Panini some credit for a nice selection of «California Cuisine» paninis. Nothing beats the actual paninis in Italy, but at least Press Panini has made a name for it’s original creations in my book. Oh, and the restaurant is a little place with outside walk-up service only. It’s definitely great for lunch and an early light dinner while strolling the tiny stretch of Tujunga Blvd. Must love dogs, because you’ll see plenty of them while you eat.

Every sandwhich I’ve had has been tasty… I highly recommend it. The good: Delicious, fresh ingredients Cute seating area in front and back — great mural on the wall! Variety…interesting sandwich choices Very friendly staff The not so good: Can take a while to get your food(+\- 15 minutes) if you’re in a hurry, this sandwich stand might frustrate you. A little pricey for what it is

I couldn’t wait another day to have another run at Press Panini. After a great hike in Laurel Canyon, my good friend and I drove straight to the little village of shops on Tujunga. We decided to order a grilled cheese, and a cup of lentil & white bean soup, and we sat in the back and enjoyed the chilly air in the little gazebo. I’ve ordered grilled cheeses from several local sandwich shops, and some of them have been pretty good– but most of them have been pretty lackluster. So when I saw that Press Panini has a grilled cheese with FIVE kinds of cheese(swiss, fresh mozzerella, asiago, chedder and provolone) as well as fresh tomato and chipotle mayo, I knew we had to order it! When our sandwich arrived, the drippy drippy cheese was so beautiful, I had to photograph it not once, but twice! I have to tell you, it was as delicious as it is beautiful. It is easily the best grilled cheese I’ve ever had, and I have photographic evidence to prove it! and the kicker? the Magical Sandwich man my friends have raved about wasn’t there! That means, if I’m not mistaken, that means that this particular sandwich is going to be absolutely delicious at any time — no stake out required!

Rainy days say sandwiches for me! I guess 2 years have passed since I 1st heard about Press Panini. Believe it or not, I heard about it from the owner Andreas as he was looking for help, and trying to get information out of me about a past employee of mine. Well, I remembered on this rainy day(driving around with 2 dogs in the car) to go here. I said to myself, «there is NO way he will be open, it’s raining and it’s kind of late.» To my happy surprise, he was open! So, so pleasant. I was shocked. I was so hungry, I didn’t know what to get. We got to talking about Chili My Soul, and he had me trying all his soups(KUDOSTOANDREASFORHISAMAZINGSOUPS) Andreas is definitely a chef! His sausage/potato/REAL bacon soup is something YOUMUST try! It reminded me of Texas Pride… oh so yummy! Delicious! I finally ordered, the chipotle aoli chicken(all white meat with no fat) panini and added avocado. I was so full at this point, it was too bad. I must say, as he asked if it was for here or to-go I only assumed it was take-out only, and explained I had my dogs in the car so I would take it with me. He was quick to say, oh no, the dogs can go to the patio in the back. So, I DID! He brought them chicken in a cup, and I sat in the patio, and took a few bites of the GREAT panini. Like I said, I was full, but my dogs were in heaven, and I was too. I LOVETHERAIN. Andreas reminded me of how I was with customers at Chili My Soul, and the atmosphere(family feel) is hard to find, and the patio is very inviting with it’s couches and TV, even in the rain! So, he brought me a container for my food, helped me put my little rug rats in the car, and I paid him. While I was walking to my car, the puppy ate my panini :(. Oh well, hopefully she enjoyed the chipotle! I must say with all the choices, the different kinds of cheeses, the freshness of the food, and just the 1 on 1 service you get… for a panini I would rather go there any day over Aroma and stand in a long line. Many, many KUDOS to Andreas… I want to go back and try a different one soon!

Today I took my dog for a nice long walk, hoping to grab a bite at Aroma. When I got to Aroma, it was extremely packed, which I probably should have planned for since it was lunch time on a Sunday. Since I was hot, hungry, and my patience was waning, I decided to try Press Panini, despite my initial reaction that the name is horrible so the food must be as well. Press Panini is a very small joint with a walk-up window, a few tables with umbrellas out front, and a small back patio. I was greeted with a shout from the man behind the window, who seemed a little to eager to get my business. I was standing on the sidewalk reading the menu, far enough away to be able to walk on if I wasn’t impressed with the menu, and close enough to seem interested in eating. The man lured me in before I had made the decision to eat there, and I found myself stumbling over words as I made a rash lunch choice and ordered the Classic Prosciutto Panino and an iced tea.(The iced tea, by the way, was unsweetened, so apparently they have unsweetened tea now, as was reported otherwise in a previous review.) The man saw that I had my dog with me and gave me a cup of chicken for her, which completely won me over. The food, at this point, was completely irrelevant to me. When my food was ready, the firendly man called me to the counter to pick it up, and then he asked for payment. I thought this was unusual. At almost all other fast-food or walk-up restaurants, you pay before you get your food. Here, you pay when it’s ready. Mind you, he had already given me my iced tea and some chicken for my dog. I could have easily walked away before picking up my sandwich. The prosciutto was very good. It was thick enough to feel like I wasn’t eating raw ham, and it had a very good flavor to it. The sandwich was dressed with an olive tapenade, which was a might strong, but very good… and mustard. Now, here’s my beef with the mustard: I was brought up in an Italian household. No self-respecting Italian puts mustard on a sandwich, especially if «Classico» and«Prosciutto» are in the title. However, this was a very unoffensive mustard that I rather enjoyed. The lettuce was crisp, the provolone was fresh, and the sandwich was perfectly satisfying. So, after initially being caught off-guard and rushed into a sandwich order that I later regretted after seeing that it had mustard on it, my dog and I ended up leaving this cute little restaurant with happy tummies and happy faces.

A friend mentioned this place to me months ago… and I finally stopped by to grab some lunch to go. As others stated: I was recommended the Chicken fajita and it was delicious! As I wait the guy there offered me a sample of the chicken-vegetable soup and it was very tasty… why didn’t I know about this last week when I was sick?! ;^) I will be stopping by again and again. (minus one star because a little pricey for my cheap-ass, it will be a treat for when I have a little extra in my pocket once in a while.)

I would like to give it 4 stars, but I am giving it 3 stars for a few reasons: 1. He was out of goat cheese. :( 2. They don’t have unsweetened Ice Tea. 3. They had a movie playing in the back patio(which is very cute but doesn’t have a ton of seating), but the sound was turned off! 4. My eggplant on my sandwich was cold. BUT… this place is yummy, convenient and they actually are one of the only restaurants that know that«panini» is actually the plural form of «panino». The owner is a nice guy that cares about the food… and the selection alone makes your mouth water. Definitely worth a stop by… and I think I am going to give him another chance and get a chicken fajita panino, based on some other reviews.

There’s something to be said about harmony. You can take the best things in life and put them together but it might not always sound right. You put Paul, John, George, and Ringo together and you get The Beatles but if you take one and put it with other good things, you end up getting Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band. While it’s edible, it’s not quite as tasty as The Beatles. The same can be said about Press Panini. No, their sandwiches aren’t bigger than Jesus but I’m sure he’d agree they’re quite tasty. At work, a PA always comes around taking lunch orders and one day the menu for Press Panini was passed around. I looked over it and noticed a collection of sandwiches with some weird pairings. They weren’t things I’d expect in a sandwich but each thing was tasty on its own, so why not have them in a sandwich? I settled on the«Hot Pastrami» which featured pastrami, swiss, pepperoncinis, sauerkraut, and dijon mustard. It was a weird melding of flavors and now that I think of it, it seemed like I was eating two sandwiches in one. But even though there were two singers on stage, they were singing in harmony. It was absolutely perfect. If you could stick Paul and John between two pieces of bread and press it between two hot cast iron plates, you would have gotten the sandwich I had. My only regret with the sandwich was that it was delivered so it wasn’t exactly hot off the press. My other regret, I had to work through my lunch break so I couldn’t exactly sit down and properly enjoy my meal. No worries, with one bite I was hooked and I’m sure to come back for more.

I was just walking my dog and stumbled across this place … When I approached the window, given their vast menu, I simply asked the gentleman behind the counter «So, what would be the one item that will make me come back?» I figured, this will give me their Numero Uno item on their menu. He said: «That’ll have to be the chicken fajita sandwich» I said«Okay, get me one of those and a caesar salad for my girlfriend» It took him some 13 minutes to have it done, and off I went. When I got home, we sat down to eat and I must admit, it was the first bite, just the FIRSTBITE! I started making sounds of true pleasure. haha. My girlfriend went«Let me try that … chump chump … OMG!!!» She ended up eating half of it. lol. I’ve been here at least once a week since. And my top 3 are: Chicken Fajita — Superb!!! Cuban Sandwich — Amazing!!! Pastrami — Incredible! And the guys there are always super nice! Make sure you eat your sanwiches within the next 10 minutes for maximum flavor. Trust me, it matters. Anyway, I convinced my friends to movie eve and we’re all going there for food. Best Sandwiches in Studio City! Only thing, I wish they accepted American Express … that’s my card!

I have been meaning to try this place for quite some time now and i finalllly did. I was a little disappointed, but that probably wouldn’t have been the case if he had gotten my order right. My 2 friends and i came here planning on going to Aroma across the street which is our usual hangout, but all decided to try something new. I’ve had Press Panini in my bookmarks for a while but we just could never bring ourselves to choosing it over Aroma. But finally we sucked it up and did. I knew it was sort of a stand kind of deal, but i didn’t know that there was a little enclosed area in the back with cute little tables and chairs to sit down and eat. So i was really pleasantly surprised to find that. My 2 friends got the chicken pesto panini with avocado, and i got the classic prosciutto panini. My sandwich consisted of prosciutto, provolone, lettuce, dijon mustard and balsamic vinaigrette. I hate dijon mustard so i asked the guy working to substitute mayo for it instead. When i got my sandwich, apparently it comes with olive tapenade on it as well, which it doesn’t say in the menu, and OFCOURSE the guy didn’t listen to me and one of the pieces of bread was smothered in dijon mustard. Ugh. I felt kinda bad complaining and asking him to make it over again, because it seemed like he was the only person working and i didn’t want to give him extra work. So i just ate my panini open faced, haha. And it was absolutely delicioussss. The bread was SO fresh and had the perfect amount of crispiness. My friends added avocado to their sandwiches, and we noticed that it was literally a giant slab of probably half of an avocado, not even sliced. And it wasn’t ripe. :/They took them out of the sandwiches and said that theirs were delicious other than that. So we all really enjoyed our meals. The weirdest part about the whole experience has to have been ordering/paying. We ordered our paninis in the front and he said we could pay when we picked them up. But rather than us going back to the front to pick them up, he brought them to us in the back and told us to just pay after we were done eating. We’re all honest people so we would never dine and ditch, but i’m sure other people definitely have/would. It was just kind of weird for a place that’s set up like this to do that. Anyway, i will for sure give it another shot and hopefully they get my order right. Because if he had gotten it right this time, it would have been 5 stars, hands down.

After reading about Press Panini on Unilocal,I decided to go there today along with a coworker. He had the Turkey Bacon Swiss and I had the Cuban Club meal with a cup of lentil white bean soup. The panini was excellent — crunchy crusty French bread, just the right amount of meat and cheese, yummy chipotle mayo. All the flavors melded blissfully together. I normally don’t like pickles on my sandwiches but here, I didn’t mind it at all. In fact, it added a tartness on some bites. The soup was also wonderful. It was a mini-meal in itself. It was loaded with lentils and beans and onions and mushrooms in a tasty, creamy, thick stock. I wanted to try the sausage soup but there wasn’t any today. I’ll have to try that next time. Maybe I’ll try the dessert panini, too — Nutella, bananas and dried cranberries. How can you go wrong with chocolate and bananas? Andreas, the owner, was working the window and he was super nice. He even gave us a sample of the special of the day — schnitzel. Funny, because, right before he offered us the sample, I was just asking my friend what a schnitzel was. He said he thinks it’s sausage. Wrong! It turned out to be a seasoned, breaded veal. It also was very good. I wonder if there’s a bad item on Andreas’ menu. The sandwiches cost $ 9 and the combo meal(with soda and a choice of either small salad, cup of soup, or chips) cost $ 14. We had gotten the order to go and I left my soda there, but who cares. My friend said he really liked his also but wished that it were a little bigger and that he should have gotten the combo, too. For me, the portion is just right, especially when there’s some yummy soup to go with it. I suspect that the panini would taste even better if eaten right there in the patio as the drive back to work has cooled the sandwich somewhat. There’s also plenty of parking next to the little storefront and in the back. As for delivery, Andreas said that he is in the process of finding a new delivery person so delivery is on hold for now. The quality definitely shines at Press Panini. I’ll definitely be back for more.

4.5 stars to be precise. The customer service here is really great. The people behind the counter are very helpful by offering suggestions if you want to make substitutions and samples of their soups. And so nice! My fiancé and I split the candied pecan/cranberry/spinach salad and each ordered our own paninis. I LOVED the salad. Call me crazy, but the panini could have been greasier. This is probably the healthiest panini place I’ve ever been. Awesome.

Ok so it depends on the morning, but usually I start off with the bacon and egg slider, one of my personal favorites. Something about the egg bacon cheese combo does it for me every time… But thats just for starters. I’ve started going here literally every day for food, mostly because I know Im going to get exactly what Im craving(i.e consistency)… Whether its soup, salad or a warm yummy sandwich, Im always happily full.(and samples of the daily specials arent a bad addition to the trip :) Incredible back seating area, equip with LCDTV and privacy, where I like to spend the lunch hour, either working while trying to scarf down some food(Cuban Club is my favorite lunch), or relaxing and catching up with work. And last but not least. GREATPARKING! All the way around a fantastic bite to eat

This is definitely a step-up in roadside, walk-up food. I know that a famous taco stand is only a few yards away, but«Press Panini» provides a solid, creative, inexpensive and healthy alternative for quick dining. I ordered a white bean soup that was very good, along with a fresh mozzarella and basil panini«Capri» which was well made and tasty. My friend ordered a barbecued chicken panini that he also enjoyed. The owners obviously have a sophisticated sense of design. The signage is graphic and modern, and there are aqua and brown glass glazed tiles on the exterior of the building. An appeal to the multi-cultural, organic, liberal and urbane consumer is accomplished with panini from various parts of the world: Thai, Mexico, Latin America, Europe. All that is missing is a «Yes, we Can/Did» poster on the window. This happens to be one of the rare locations in Los Angeles where good food and walking coincide. Aroma Café, Caioti and Henry’s Tacos are all within spitting distance of here. But Press Panini will survive and thrive, I predict.

I live right around the corner from Press Panini, and they are one of my favorites! They have high quality ingredients and interesting flavor combos — don’t expect fast food just because you order from an outside counter! And while I’m on the subject fast food, I’ve read reviews that say Press Panini is too pricy or too slow. That’s only true is you’re comparing Press to Subway or McDonalds. Everything is cooked(NOT microwaved) when you order. So yeah, it take about 15 minutes to get your panino. That’s a normal waiting time for a restaurant! If you want it faster, order ahead or get it cold(you can get almost all of their sandwiches cold if you ask). And I challenge you to find better prices on salads anywhere else in the valley! $ 9.23 for a spinach salad with candied pecans, cranberries and asiago cheese? I don’t know where everyone else eats, but I think that’s completely reasonable. The $ 8.31 panini are REALLY filling(I usually make two meals out of them), and that’s around what Quizno’s charges for their sandwiches. If you want something smaller, the sliders are about three bucks each. I always get a cup of soup when I’m looking for a small meal. I happen to LOVE the white bean and lentil soup. It’s incredibly rich and it has big chunks of portobello mushrooms and perfectly blended flavors. I think it must be low fat too — there’s no cream or butter in it! I say long live Press Panini for bringing quality and class to the«stand food» genre! FYI — they ARE open on the weekends and they DO accept credit cards now.

I love Press! I took a caprese salad and a cup of lentil soup to go yesterday! It was awesome! The soup is perfect for the windy weather we have been having lately. Their lentil soup is vegan – not that it is any concern for me, but it is still creamy and delicious. It has huge chunks of portobello mushrooms… I am craving it now… mmmh. The salad was also really good and light! All the veggies at Press are organic! Even their to go boxes are paper – not styrofoam. I freaking hate it when I go to a vegan restaurant and I get a nasty styrofoam box… Any ways 5 stars to Press for excellent customer service, reasonable prices, and awesome organic food!

Brand new cute little sandwich shop right in the heart of Tujunga Village. A huge selection of freshly made panini sandwiches prepared right before your eyes. I had the Cuban Club and it was yummy! Sandwiches are large, filling and dripping with gooey cheesey goodness. They are very dog friendly, the owner just might give your doggie some of the end pieces of meat. My dog enjoyed some prosciutto! Insider tip — Avoid a long wait in line, check out the menu online and call in your order for pick up.
