This place is great, Aroma down the street is always so slammed it’s a great quiet alternative. I would have given them five stars but they don’t let you use the bathroom. I ordered food it would be nice to wash my hands:/ so I had to go to Aroma anyway to use the restroom. I would have stayed longer and maybe got another coffee. Oh well.

This is a nice little gelato bar. The establishment is warm and homey and feels soothing. Does not feel like a chain establishment. The gelato was very tasty and they offer a nice variety of common and not so common flavors. Reasonably priced also.

I love this place !! The décor is so cute it makes me feel like I am somewhere foreign. They have one of the best gelato I have ever tasted plus a few other selection of meals and drinks. It is pricey but once in awhile it’s nice to treat yourself.

Wonderful décor. The ice cream was not cheap. They had no chocolate gelato, only sorbe, yet it was quite flavoreful. I intend to return for the real gelato.

I love this place! I admit I’ve only had their gelato, but all the flavors are awesome. I especially love the Mexican Spiced Chocolate– it has a good amount of spice, so try a sample if you’re not sure. I mix it with a fruity flavor just to break it up(usually raspberry). This place gets a decent amount of traffic on weekends, being in Tujunga village, but they move the line quickly. My favorite neighborhood dessert spot, I strongly recommend it if you’re anywhere in the area!

So this place is pretty cute. If you find a pace to park and hang out for a while you’ll enjoy the atmosphere. Oh yeah you’ll probably also like the gelato. There are a bunch of flavors some of which are quite unique. I tried a couple of the more intimidating ones before settling on my old favorite mint options because i was not feeling particularly adventurous. Nonetheless it was good. As often is the case with gelato I wish that I could have had more and pay less beause I just want big globs of ice cream.

Was planning to head over the Aroma Coffee(a few doors down), and found that there were way too many people there, so we headed over to Gelato Bar. It was quiet & peaceful and seemed a good spot to catch up over coffee. Stepped inside and there were a couple of people working. There’s a water fountain; ambiance seemed nice. Tried to order a pumpkin spice latte, but they were out. Bummer. So I settled on a Hazelnut Latte. Although we found seating quickly, I realized that the refrigerators for the gelato are loud. I imagine the seat next to the window & water fountain was more peaceful, but someone had already taken over that area with his work stuff. Then, I found my Hazelnut Latte a bit too bitter. BUT, I did try a sip of an Earl Gray Tea Latte and that tasted delicious; I wish I had ordered that. Didn’t try the Gelato…

Good, but not the best gelato I have ever had. It was a bit more watery than creamy and some flavors better than others. My son did enjoy his, but I think it is pretty pricey for the portion size you get, two scoops is better than one here. Service was ok, but not stellar. My coffee was pretty good and the space is cute but small, I few seats inside and a few out front on the sidewalk. Parking is a bit tricky as well, hit or miss. Can’t not be a fan of ice cream and I do like the selection of unique flavors they offer.

I’ve been here a few times; it’s always been a place I like to get dessert after enjoying breakfast at Aroma Coffee and Tea. My absolute favorite flavor is the Olio Di’Oliva! You can really taste the olive oil, but it surprisingly makes a wonderful, not-overly-sweet gelato flavor.

I love this place. I dream about this place. Any gelato place that has Thai Iced Tea as a flavor is aces in my book. I stay around the corner from this place whenever I am in town and this is always the highlight of my trip. I get to take a luxurious walk over and relax and have a treat before my walk back for the night. I have an amazing gelato place at home which I am devoted to but I hate to say it, this place is better. The gelato is done right — not too creamy, not too icy. The Thai Iced Tea is my favorite but have had many other flavors(Mint Chocolate is another goody). It worth the wait and the price.

This place rocks! Delicious espresso, gelato done right(on par with what I’ve had in Italy), with friendly service, in a perfect serene setting. I’ve been a big fan of this place for years and was recently in town for a visit and came a couple days in a row. Their dark chocolate gelato paired with their hazelnut gelato are what gelato dreams are made of. I love how they include the chocolate wafer. Add their great espresso to the mix and you’re starting off your day right! While I normally go the chocolate route with gelato(the darker the better), if you see their blood orange gelato available, grab some. You’re welcome. This is a must stop for me after breakfast at Aroma whenever I’m in town.

The Gelato is really good and the place is so nice… but the two girls that were attending us where like if we(3person) were begging for money or something, long faces and throwing the sfuff around, if they don’t like their job why they work here, honestly I would think it twice to come back Sunday nights! Che pazzi di ragazzi che sonno qui.

A good selection of gelato. We tried 3 different flavors, pistachio, vanilla and pana cotta. They all tasted smooth. There’s street parking right outside.

Ok. So really gave this some thought before deciding to write this but I really feel strongly about paying more than top dollar and receiving a bad attitude. The gelato is «ok» and the servers are arrogant pretentious. I live a block anyway and love the shops here in the village. This is the only shop I have experience this. Many of us in the neighborhood have decided we’re are done with the abuse! A great to ice cream shop is opening soon«Betty Rose» or something like that. We will bring our family and friends there.

Super cute gelato shop that is a bit on the steep side price wise. Despite that, it is a favorite to go to simply because of the taste and the surrounding area is a cute block of shops. You can totally kick it in this area for the afternoon. I’m a huge fan of the thai tea or stracciatella(think chocolate chip). Girlfriend tends to get lemony flavors, which I must oblige her despite it not being my favorite! One point for Jeff, right?! Parking is tough but if you dont mind walking, you can park in the neighborhood on Farmdale or Kraft. Kraft is closer so if you cant find something, go on to Farmdale.

Friendly service and an okay selection of gelato. However, in my opinion overpriced — $ 4 for a teeny smidgen of gelato(and that was the cheapest option), not an excellent assortment missing even some of the basic flavors, and to top it off far more soft and melted by the time I paid for it than a good gelato should be. Meh, save your dessert money and calories for elsewhere.

At the risk of not sounding like a guy! This place is adorable :). You get a really homie feeling when you walk in. Also it’s right in a little cute area of downtown studio city! Check it out in the night Parking: ehh metered out front n I can assume could be pretty tough during peak times Service: everyone behind the counter was great and on top of that, they have unlimited samples with baby steel spoons; suck on that yogurt land Décor: very modern esk, for goodness sakes they even have a waterfall inside. Food: ok I had the brown sugar pop tart(which at first was ok but the after taste was bomb diggity) also had the pistachio and chai gelato which I would love to just eat every morning. Oh man so damn good.

I like this place — parking is the worst! Once I’ve packed a lunch and spend all day finding a parking space, I enjoy a scoop of gelato and a pour over coffee. BUT, not putting up the effort again. The staff here could care less for our business. I’ll say, the gelato is ok, but not worth the pay off of being treated luike your borhtering the staff. It’s your job guys — no custermer = no business = business closed = no job. it’s all on you!

GELATO! IT’S WHAT’S FORDESSERT! BACKGROUND: An artisanal Italian-styled gelato and premium coffee bar. Step inside, and the brightly striped walls, terracotta tiles and trickling indoor fountain will transport you to a miniature Italian piazza. The first thing you’ll notice is the showcase of 24 daily selections of gelato and sorbetto flavors, which are hand-decorated with garnishes of fresh fruits, nuts and spices. You can pull up a chair, sip some coffee and read the paper, or play chess with a neighbor. STATS: Monday — Thursday 8:00 am — 10:00 pm Friday & Saturday 8:00 am — 11:00 pm Sunday 9:00 am — 10:00 pm Metered Street Parking Indoor/outdoor seating Free Wi-Fi EXPERIENCE: Following a relatively late night grub session with a couple fellow Unilocalers nearby, we took to the streets of the Toluca Lake Village in Studio City in search of some decadent dessert. Low and behold, Gelato Bar was open and still serving up gelato. One of my fave Unilocalers and his lovely have checked in here a few hundred times over the previous months, so it was on my bucket list. Fortunately the streets of the village were essentially empty, due to the time late night hour, parking wasn’t really a problem, but come during the day, foooget about it. With all the quaint trendy shops and the laid back lifestyle these peeps live, parking can be quite a challenge. Anywhoo, keeping with the with modest storefronts of the village, G-Bar has a charming interior and friendly staff members to complete the experience. G-Bar may not deliver a plethora of flavors, but they do offer up some mighty tasty choices. After tasting just about every flavor, I decided on Vaniglia Peanut. Unfortunately, I don’t recall what fellow Unilocalers ordered. Served in a small plastic cup with rippled edges and a miniature plastic flat shovel, they inserted a little chocolate swirled wafer into my scoop of gelato. Nice touch. We sat at a large table in the center of the establishment with a couple at the far end, clearly on their first date. How cute. Fellow Unilocalers and I were a bit rowdy, but the couple paid us no mind. The voices in my head and I all wished them the best of luck to ourselves. I’m not real great on vanilla anything, only when I got a sample taste, I was pleasantly surprised that the vanilla flavor wasn’t overwhelming. I could actually taste the peanut flavoring, and it was gooooood. As each spoonful entered my mouth the creamy gelato slowly melted on my tongue before gently sliding down my throat. BTW, neither of the fellow Unilocalers had any complaints about their choices, so all in all it’s a pretty good place. Personally, gelato is not a go to for me, I can take it or leave it, but I did really enjoy my scoop. Review 92 Unilocal 100+ Challenge 2015 #gelato #tolucalakevillage #glutenfree

Cute little gelato place. I had the Chai gelato & my friend had the amaretto & pistachio. All so darn good! We got the smallest size because we had just ate but it was the perfect size! It’s about $ 4 each. The only thing is that parking can be a little tricky because there are so many different shops and places around there.

Super cute place to come and grab coffee or gelato. The ambiance is quiet. Great place to bring your laptop or just hang out. I’m a coffee lover, so I’ve gotten their ice coffee(which is good). The gelato flavor I always get is the Caffe(coffee flavor) so delicious. I get a cone which is $ 3.50. This place is a little pricy but I love coming by whenever I’m in the area. Note, parking in this area can be hard especially since Aroma is right next door. Weekends it gets packed. Xo, Naomi

I’ve had great gelato and bad gelato in Los Angeles on my quest to find the best gelato. Gelato Bar is probably the best I’ve had other than Grom and Pazzo Gelato in the Los Angeles for authentic gelato. The fruit flavors are prominent and similar to biting into the fresh fruit. Go for a gelato tasting before you select a flavor. The one complaint I have is that slamming door every time someone walk in or out.

Gelato how I love thee. You’re sweet and creamy and satisfy my need for a splendid treat. My beau and I stopped in this past Sunday and ordered a variety of gelato and an amazing homemade poptart on the side. The place itself is very cute and quaint — located on Tujunga in Studio City amongst all the little cafes, shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly and we found nearby parking in the neighborhood up the street. We tried the Striaccella(which took me back to my Europe days), Amaretto and Salted Caramel — all were beyond tasty, light and refreshing. The homemade poptart was the equivalent of apple pie in a tart form, highly recommended! Lots of indoor seating and outdoor seating as well. Prices are what you would expect out of a gelato shop, though the portions are«small» it takes a while to eat and is rather enjoyable. They also provide free water, coffee and other sweet snacks, enjoy!
