Well done! Creative and delicious Tacos. Just what I’m looking for in a quick and casual dinner spot.

Their food that they offer is good and of high quality, but it is priced a little high.

I’m not saying it’s bad. But it’s not the best tacos I have ever had. It just doesn’t work. Me. Seems very limited on the toppings. Not to mention. They are tacos and are waaaaayyyyy to expensive. I go to a taco truck down the street for less then two bucks per taco. Had twice the meat and toppings compared to this place which charges 6 – 7 bucks per taco. Crazy !

I feel bad for the people who think this place has good tacos. Don’t get me wrong, the tacos are okay but definitely not great. Maybe I’m just used to a higher standard because good taco places are a dime a dozen in California. I might go back to give it one more shot

What a great thing Taco Shack is. I know from it’s detractors that, sure, this isn’t the traditional tacos you would find in the finest of Latino, hipster or Baja back alley neighborhoods, but they are damn good for what they are. And, really what is a «taco»? It’s stuff in a hand held tortilla. Hell, I have had a hot dog and butter«taco» growing up in the dirty Mission. Anyway, there are terrific fresh flavors and pretty creative food to be found here. I had been wanting to try this place since they opened and quickly got hot on Unilocal. We rolled in too hungry and were greeted so happily by the owner who guided us through the menu because it was our first time here. Great start for sure. They have an entire vegetarian section that is appreciated. I am usually scared off from taco joints because of my fussy eating habits. After being sold on the fresh and tasty guac and house made chips(out of real corn tortillas) we ordered the vegetarian menu. Consisting of four huge tacos on flour tortillas. I haven’t yet checked to see if corn is an option because I would prefer that, but not a big deal. Avocado and black bean taco. This one was the favorite and we ordered three the second time here. Seasoned beans and so much avocado with cabbage and lime. Filling and tasty for sure. Fresh roasted cauliflower taco. Yup, roasted cauliflower and a delicious sauce rounded out this surprise taco ingredient. Neither one of us was polite about taking the last bite of this one. Meet your beets. Essentially a beet salad in a tortilla. The beets and pear were cooked nicely and everything was well dressed. Plenty tasty enough although a bit drippy so be careful with the cool facial hair or nice shirt. Thai basil Brussels sprouts. Thai food taco. I am a huge fan of Brussels sprouts and was pretty excited to try them in Thai flavors in a taco place. Earthy seared Brussels with basil and sweet chili sauce totally worked and you can hold it in your hand! This was a favorite. I did return and tried the Baja shrimp taco for a more traditional outing. The shrimp were cooked and flavored perfectly, add lime and hot sauce, I am in taco happiness. Great little spot indoors and outdoors, easy parking and a friendly staff. The tacos are a bit on the pricey side but they are huge. I have ordered three for myself and needed a nap after.

Ok taco, but for $ 5.55 per taco(regular sized at best) it’s out of my price range. I’d need about 2 ½ to be satisfied and that’d cost me north of $ 17!!! So… I won’t be back till they come to their senses. Oh yeah, they have 2 tacos for $ 10 on Tuesdays! What a deal! NOT!!!

This is the real deal. This was our first stop in town, and it is immediately apparent that this place has done it right. A high quality twist on every menu item makes this place a charming gem. The charming and engaging staff provides an excellent tour of the menu for first timers. If you would like vegetarian options, this place will not disappoint. If you are a carnivore, you’re in a meaty heaven laced with hot peppers and salsa.

I love this place! The Carne Asadas taco is addictive! We try to go at least once a month for lunch, it is a little pricy but worth every penny!

My husband & I stopped here last night after reading the other Unilocal reviews. We were not disappointed! From the adorable décor, to the amazingly personable owner, to the fantastic food, we were won over! We had the Mexican Conch Fritters, blackened mahi taco and mojo chicken taco. I would order all of these again. So much flavor in everything! The Mexican Conch Fritters are to die for. If you like conch fritters, you’ve got to try these. The owner spent time chit chatting with us for a while. Great lady! Definite gem in downtown Stuart!

Tacos were $ 5.55 each for lunch. Good taste but no sides and mostly cabbage. Don’t plan on getting filled up at all. We had the pork and the fresh Mahi. Fountain soda was $ 1.89. Pricey. There are better places for better value.

I feel obligated to submit a new review. Like a fine wine this place keeps getting better. Once they learned their craft they streamlined and improved. Tacos and other items come out way faster and the quality is remarkable. This place has turned into a local joint where the locals frequent. This is the type of place I seek out when traveling. If you are a local and have not tried this establishment yet… shame! ding ding shame!!! If you are traveling and looking for that place locals hit. Look no further. Welcome to the Taco Shack.

We stopped for lunch because it was away from crowded downtown. The place is cute, has indoor and outdoor parking. We started with the nachos, thick homemade chips with chili, corn, black beabs, cheese, guacamole, tomatoes and lime cream sauce. The flavors were good, a little heavy handed with the chili powder and they skimped on cheese and cream sauce. Next we each had a taco, Carne Asad, onions, cilantro and a sweet sauce. Lots of meat, good seasoning, too many onions and cilantro. But… for $ 6 it should have been more, it’s the same taco you can get for $ 2 at a taco truck/stand. I had a cowboy taco with pulled pork, roasted corn, baked beans, slaw, crispy onions, jalapeños. The combination was terrific! We would come back for a cowboy taco but pass on the nachos and Carne taco. Good flavors, just a little overpriced.

Excellent and filling. The live music was relaxing and enjoyable on a warm summer night. Definitely worth all 5 stars. We had the chili, fish taco and chicken quesadilla. Everything homemade including the chips. We ate every bite. Fish taco was fried, full of cheese, coleslaw and squirt of lime. Chili came with homemade chips, squirt of lime. The chicken quesadilla was the best I’ve had in a while. Served with lime crema, tomatoes, guacc. Yum! Happy hour was Tuesday — Fri 3 pm — 9 pm.

This is the third time I have tried Taco Shack and it has been the best so far. I had the carne asade and mojo chicken tacos. Both were extremely fresh and bursting with flavors. The salsa they served with the tacos was amazing and easily one of the best I’ve ever had and I LOVE salsa!!. I also had the nachos which were probably the best I have ever had. Very, very large portion and not just all chips. Completely covered with beans, meat, guacamole and salsa. Great job Taco Shack! You have won me over!

My wife and I stumbled across Taco Shack in Stuart on a Saturday night. It was busy, but we didn’t have to wait to order or long to get our food. I was a bit surprised about the price of the food but the quality and size of proportions were good. I ordered two tacos and chips and that was enough for me. The Tacos were great. I really liked the shrimp Tacos. I ordered them grilled and they were light and delicious. If you’re looking for a good Taco place in Stuart — this is the place.
