To be fair, we have our shades and they look very nice. Also, to be fair, Nancy, the designer, was gracious, professional, and a pleasure to work with. She was very helpful in suggesting colors and patterns. The problem lay in the installer. Our experience was different from other reviews that I have read. We selected «In The Shade» based on other reviews and were disappointed with the «gentleman» who came to install our blinds. He was brusque and short tempered. I suppose everyone can have a bad day. Bottom line, if you want beautiful shades and are willing to put up with being verbally roughed up by an installer, «In The Shade» is for you.

The folks at In The Shade just finished another job for us. Both projects have been at IRP on Hutchinson Island. The whole team there (we worked with the designer Nancy but all seem very knowledgeable) is first rate. She had some very creative solutions for our particular homes — worked within our budgets, the installer was professional and came on time, and now our places look stunning. I highly recommend them.

They just did a job at my mom’s house and then at my own condo. What professionals! They have interior design backgrounds and were able to make some wonderful suggestions about the appropriate window treatments. The store has a great selection of quality merchandise. The installers came when promised and worked quickly and cleaned up after they were finished. Prices were reasonable. I highly recommend In The Shade.
