A hypocritical two stars here from someone who has stayed several times before and will likely visit again. But if you book this hotel you need to know what you’re getting into. It’s old, dank, musty, outdated, with uncomfortable beds and pillows. For a non-smoking hotel, it reeks of cigarette smoke in the halls and rooms. Typical thin walls force you to share whatever activities the people in the next room are getting into. BUT…this place is basically as cheap as it gets, and includes free parking and wifi and is literally steps from the food and nightlife of the downtown area. If you, like me, are looking for a cheap place to crash after you eat and drink your way through stroudsburg before waking up to ski nearby… this may be the place for you. Other than that, for those with bucks to spend or standards to uphold… keep looking.

I give it 3 stars for the location. Plenty of awesome places to walk to for entertainment. As far as places to stay, it should have cost $ 50 a night not what I paid. Everything is super outdated, wallpaper is pealing, smells musty, bathroom has rust in the ceiling tile grid, there was a long black hair in the blow dryer(good thing I have no hair)… If you can find a way to pay closer to 50 – 60 this place would be awesome to stay at. Anything above that is awfully over priced.

I mean this wasn’t anything near fancy but it was perfect for my group of friends to stay at. We were right near the bars and minutes away from the slopes. Yes the beds were not the best and the wallpaper in the hallways could use a bit updating but we can’t win them all. Two of the three people we met at the front desk were really nice now for that other person she was as rude as they get and just had a attitude with one of my friends while checking out. But other then that this place was okay for me and if need be I will becoming back because of the great location this hotel is located in.

Where should I start with this review. Perhaps at the beginning and the terrible parking. The hotel lot is not labeled(other than with signs that say permit only), The lot is in a state of disarray, and the spots are so cramped and lanes so thin that I can’t imagine some of the cars I saw parked there being able to get out in the morning. Next we checked in, got up to the room and were instantly dissapointed. There were stains all over the carpet, the bedding was ratty, there was a dirty sagging ceiling tile above one of the beds. There also was kind of a musty smell to the room and the lighting was all really dim(I assume to help hide the dirtiness of the room). We also had a spectacular view out our window of a construction dumpster filled with trash. So after all this we decided it wasn’t even worth staying the night here, we’d just suck it up and drive the remaining 4 hours home even though it was already later in the evening. So I went down to the front desk to check out. There were 2 gentlemen there, one seemed to be an inexperienced front desk attendant while the other seemed to be the manager on shift. The inexperienced guy seemed somewhat helpful he apologized a few times, the manager could care less about our complaints. The only response I got was: «we can’t refund your money since you booked with an online site, have a nice night». I will never be staying at this hotel again, and would absolutely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. The quality of the rooms was on par with a $ 40 a night motel 6 and the customer service was even worse.

Decided on a last minute trip to the Pocono area with the family the last weekend of the summer. We chose this hotel because it was in a good location, downtown, and allowed dogs. The location was great and provided easy access to places for dinner and breakfast. Unfortunately the wifi was out and we were unable to access last minute planning information. The front desk was able to help us out by giving us access to an alternative account. It took us asking several times and several hours before they gave us access. The hotel sits on the only nite club in town. From 10pm until midnight the entire hotel shakes to the heavy bass of the club music. We had our too small children with us and could not sleep until the music ended way too late. I can not recommend this hotel if you plan on sleeping.

Just right! I found this hotel on the Shawnee Ski Resort website. A few girlfriends and I decided to book a last minute ski getaway and this hotel could not have been more convenient. Located 10 mi from Shawnee, we had perfect access to the slopes, outlets, and plenty of cute bars & bistros along Main Street. Our concierge, Monique, went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our overnight stay. We dined on hearty burgers and craft beers at the Yard of Ale and danced the night away at Siansa. The Pocono Inne and Stroudsburg, PA is the perfect overnight escape from the city.
