Breakfast was very good, the waffle maker was key. The mini cinabuns hit the spot. The room was clean and had a new television. Bathroom very spacious and updated. Lobby has free coffee and hot chocolate which was perfect after hitting the slopes. I would give five stars if they put water in the rooms or at least an ice machine with water and put chocolate on the pillows. I would return to this hotel.

It is a brand new hotel — very clean and good breakfast. There are usually two employees working there in the evening: male and female. The male employee is extremely helpful and has a great attitude, the female employee says no to anything your request … She needs to learn from her co-worker.

My boyfriend and I stayed here when in the area for a wedding that was about a half hour away in a rural area with no(non-roach) motels. East/Stroudsburg was the closest area with lodging, and I did a lot of research before choosing this hotel, and I can honestly say I made the right choice! My boyfriend was very impressed and pleased as was I. The hotel is extremely clean from outdoors to *every* area indoors. Well-lit hallways, clean carpets, elegant mirrors and a small table with lamps as soon as you get off the elevators. We had a 4th floor room with double queen beds with six(!) pillows on each bed — fabulous for us because we both have neck problems and test and swap pillows until we’re comfy. The bed felt just a tiny bit smaller than queen, which we have at home, and it seemed like we were squished together more than at home. But really not a big deal, just taking note. The room also had a fridge about 2′ high(large!) and a microwave, both contained on the entertainment unit that the TV was on in the center of the room. **A note on the curtains: If you are like my boyfriend and me and need a dark room, they’ve got you covered(literally) with blackout drapes. Since the hotel is next to a medical center and a Dick’s Sporting Goods and across the street from shopping plazas, there are mega lights outside. We’ve stayed in hotels like this that did not have blackout curtains and were miserable. Also we needed to sleep with the bathroom door closed because of the reddish bathroom nightlight. The bathroom was large(more long than wide but by no means a squeeze), and I loved that the sink area had tons of counter space on each side of the actual sink. The counter seems a little high, coming a couple inches above belly button at 5’6″ tall, which was an odd sink height, but in the end it didn’t affect my ability to bend and wash my face as I was afraid I’d hit my elbows on the countertop. There was a big, decorative yet practical wooden rack above the toilet with individual slots that contained three large bath towels, rolled to add an elegant touch, and several washcloths and hand towels, along with a little bar underneath to hang hand towels. On each end of the shower were towel hooks outside so you could step right out on either side you prefer and grab your towel. Little touches like that are what make me give a 5-star review. We had breakfast both mornings. The waffle station is always a HUGE selling point for us to stay at Hamptons. They tended to run out of things, but there was a worker constantly replenishing food. My boyfriend said they ran out of coffee before 10 when the breakfast buffet is shut down, BUT in the lobby there is a free coffee and tea station 24⁄7. We were surprised how full the breakfast area got, at risk of there being no tables left. The people working the front desk were always nice and greeted you whenever you returned and said goodbye whenever you stepped out. At check-in they give you a little slip of paper with instructions for how to work the master outlet switch(much be an energy efficiency thing) and breakfast hours. After we checked in we got a call from the desk about 5 minutes later making sure everything was to our satisfaction, a nice touch. At that point, though, we hadn’t turned the heater on; as soon as we did, I noticed a smell of burnt hair. My boyfriend assured me it was just the heater and that it was probably the first time it had been turned on since the spring, and sure enough within minutes it disappeared and only happened again once the whole weekend. Location of the hotel was good with chain restaurants across the street at shopping plazas, as well as a couple local restaurants. Not a far drive from downtown Stroudsburg, which we only drove through on our way out of town. So, some minor tweeks I’d suggest: a lamp on the bedside table next to the window-side of the queen bed. And somehow more storage for clothes — there were only three small drawers under the microwave. For a two-night weekend stay this was plenty, but if my boyfriend and I had been staying longer, it would have been a problem for people like us who don’t like to leave our clothes in our suitcases. The closet came in handy, though. Also could have used a tissue box on the desk or night able; I have allergies and lug tissues everywhere, so I took the box out of the bathroom. The placement of the flat screen TV vs. the lamps about the room led to a glare on the TV no matter where you sat; not much you can do about that I guess. This is something probably not fixable either, but the elevators were really slow. We were on the top(4th) floor, and it took probably 30 seconds to get up. Probably doesn’t sound like much, but count it on in your head, and it does for just 4 floors. I wanted to give a very detailed review since I spent so much time looking for a good hotel experience in an area I was not at all familiar with. This is a winner!!!
