I came here for a late dinner and try there fajitas. The fact that I was the only person in there should of been a clue considering there is a full bar and it was 8pm on a Saturday the food was ok but I left feeling violated I love Mexican food and been to many, many business like this and never been charged for salsa 1.29 if I remember right never received a itemized receipt back after I payed the server and nowhere on the menu did it say you payed for salsa normally you get chips and salsa with your meal kinda pricy too 2.50 for pepsi and the fact there is no prices for drinks on there menu seems a little shady to me as well anyhow I don’t recommend this establishment.

I have been here twice. The first time the experience was just«OK» althought the tomato soup was the best I’ve had. This time went with a group of 6 from work over our lunch hour. We were the only people there. We were immediately seated and given menus. After sitting there for approx 15 minutes, the cleaning lady /waitress in training informed us that the only waitress had to leave and she was the only one there. 5 minutes later we were asked to leave since they had to close. Went down the street to La Casa Jalisco and had quick service and good food. Plus, the same entrees were all approx $ 1-$ 2 dollars cheaper.

I went here for lunch with a small group. The service was solid — friendly and prompt. They start with chips and salsa. The salsa is a bit thin and lacks the heartiness you’d expect from a legit Mexican spot, but the chips are crispy and nice. Everyone gets a tomato-based soup that’s very tasty. I had the Santa Fe salad — the portions are generous and the ingredients are fresh. Tip: The lunch specials are reasonably priced at less than $ 8. UPDATE: I tried to go here the other day, a random person seated us, then she came back out saying it was closed due to an emergency. The same thing happened to my party the time before. This place needs a new owner.

I truly enjoyed this restaurant: from the margaritas, to the steak fajitas, to the excellent service! I would definitely come back again!

Mojito’s is ran by my good friend Rosie and combines Italian and Mexican Cuisine. It is a sit down restuarant open for lunch and dinner with prices consistent with a good portion of food. When entering, you would imagine this is a place that should be in a downtown big city, not a small town in Illinois. The décor is very trendy. If your in the mood for a drink, Mojito’s has a full service bar that serves domestic beers, imported beers and mixed drinks. Hopefully, during your dining experience you will be able to have Rosie as your server. She will go out of her way to make sure you have a good meal and gives true meaning to the phrase«customer service.» While Streator is not well known on the map, if you happen to be traveling through and are looking for a nice place to stop and eat, stop in Mojito’s and say hit to Rosie.
