We have been traveling to this special spot for years. What has happened? New owners? Closing? Where is Bigfoot?

Cute little store that is just a little pricey but they have all the basic necessities and additional beer/groceries/s’mores stuff you may have forgotten for your camping trip. Main reason I’d come back is because the staff is so friendly! When we asked if they sold firewood, the guy informed us that they sell it for $ 7 but his buddy down the street sells a box for $ 5.(Heck, I’ll pay the extra $ 2 for the convenience of not having to make another stop and his honesty).

Great little General Store for camp food or basic needs. The guys and gals working the counter are nice. They have ice cream for hot days in the summer but I’ve stopped here on the motorcycle for lunch also… It’s old, no frills, no thrills, and perfect.

How awesome is a cool general store in almost the middle of nowhere? Strawberry General Store is a great outpost in the in the high Sierra. I stop by every time I’m nearby and make sure I spend $ 15−20…even if I don’t need anything(gotta support the mountain community!) The store is well-stocked and the staff is SUPER friendly and helpful. A few extras… Picnic table out front and chairs on the front porch — cool. BONUSPOINTS: the Bigfoot wood-carved statue out front is your Instagram/FB friend! Love SGS! 5 stars.

David and I stopped by the Strawberry general store on our way home from a great afternoon drive to Kennedy Meadows. The owner(a lady) was there and was great at conversation. The store has alot to choose from and is very clean.

We visited this store daily on our recent trip to Strawberry and no question went unanswered. They have basic groceries/toiletries and some fishing/hunting gear. Great vibe, extremely friendly. Worth the visit just to meet the owners Scott, Christine and Dee.

Great small grocery and general goods store located in Strawberry. They have basic groceries(very basic — we forgot tea and they only had lipton), fishing supplies(they even had great, cheap fishing poles), and medicine and toiletries. If you need any advice, whether you need to know where the great fishing spots are, to places to sled in the winter, ask the person working the store; I’ve never been given bad advice.

Thank you for having coffee so I didn’t have to be a catatonic ahole the whole way home.

Love the Strawberry Store, I only wish they would bring back the comic book section and the old-school apparel. Other than that, they have made some improvements and changes over the years. They got rid of a homemade fudge counter and added hard liquor(total fan of that). They are conveniently located right off the highway and it’s nice to go for an ice cream after spending hours at the lake baking in the sun. It’s also cool to see all the Hell’s Angels and motorcycle chicks stopping by. Love the leather people.
