As a kid going to get pizza here was like going to heaven but sadly this is no longer the case. The ny style pizza is still ok but the Sicilian use to be the talk of the town. Maybe due to all the new lousy spots in town standards were lowered here too. I want to like it, but I don’t and I feel guilty because I use to like it. Also the smoking kills me.

This review isn’t so much about the quality of the food as it is about the service… but I do have to mention that the food is sub-par to say the least. I ordered from this place after finding them online. Free delivery with a minimum $ 10 purchase. And they’re close to my house so I figured delivery would be fairly quick. One of the things I ordered was potato skins and I added a comment(online order) that I’d like blue cheese on the side. A few minutes after placing the order, they gave me a call and asked if I wanted cheese and bacon on my potato skins… I thought this was a strange question because… don’t they always come with cheese and bacon? So I said, yes, with cheese and bacon. At this point I’m told that cheese and bacon are 75 cents extra. And the blue cheese on the side is 50 cents extra. Whatever… nobody likes being nickle-and-dimed, but they’re a business and they need to make their money. So I just said I’d give the delivery guy an extra $ 1.75 so they wouldn’t have to run my card again. So when the guy shows up, NOBLUECHEESE. I call them up, because I figure that since they’re down the street, it’s not a big deal to come back and give me what I paid for. When the delivery guy shows up, he hands me the blue cheese and says«you know, this is normally 50 cents extra, and you need to tell us before you order»… so we get into it because I DIDPAY for the blue cheese… so I just ended up slamming the door in his face. This place will NEVER get my business again.

This place was once owned by very close family friends. They owned the original Jerry’s in the«hollow» in Bridgeport and also opened locations in Fairfield, Madison ave and main st in Bridgeport. that was like 40+ years ago(and a lot more for the original location). For those that remember they were the best! 5 stars for sure! Well, I’ve been away and have miss Jerry’s so much. I was in town and had to stop by. What crap! Gross & disgusting… They should be forced to change the name to Crappie’s !! Their giving the old Jerry’s a bad name, what a shame… I’d pass this poor excuse for a pizza place by…

I’m somewhat of a pizza junkie, but this place has gone down hill. The pizza never tastes the same twice. Not very friendly help, but the old owners where not friendly so that stayed the yourself a favor and skip this place.

It’s a shame what this place has become. What was once the best pizza this side of Brooklyn is now horrible. The original owner was a crude, rude, obnoxious guy but the pizza he served was tremendous, the Sicilian was hands down the best around. Unfortunately he sold the business about 10 years ago. I’ve tried to give these new owners a chance, but it is obvious they don’t know what they are doing. The pizza now is no better then a frozen pizza you would buy at the grocery store. I don’t understand how this place is still in business, every time I’ve been in there or drove by the place is completely empty. I guess most of Stratford feels the same way I do.

We used to eat here every Friday… definitely our favorite pizza in the area next to Michael Anthony’s in Milford. Staff was very nice and Evie is a doll. Unfortunatley, we were completely ripped off, even being loyal, regular customers, they didn’t care about taking advantage of us and because of that, we will never return here. We ordered a half chicken and borccoli and half buffalo chicken pizza. When we got it, it was perfect, just the way we ordered it. When we went to pay for it, it was $ 32. ??? Every time we ate there we’d get either a large buffalo OR a large chicken and broccoli with a pepsi and the total came to $ 21. How does this half pie come to $ 32 with no Pepsi even??? When we asked they said they charged us for a whole Chicken and broccoli AND charged us for half of a buffalo chicken??? That’s how they price pizzas that are asked to be made half and half. We paid, walked out, and never looked back. We also lost 5 pounds since we stopped going there every week.

A fine choice for takeout pizza. There is nothing special about this restaurant, but also nothing bad. The pizza is tasty, but not the cheapest in the area. The employees are always friendly. There are some tables to eat at and there is a «Claw Machine» for mild entertainment.

In its previous incarnation(i.e. — owned by other people), I would have given Jerry’s 3.5 stars. I used to enjoy their Sicilian pie. But now? Not so great. The last time I ate here with my son, the pie was undercooked. The crust was rubbery and the whole thing was pretty tasteless. My son isn’t exactly a pizza connoisseur. If it’s pizza, he thinks it’s great. But even he mentioned how the pizza really wasn’t very good. It’s a shame because they used to make a pretty decent pie.
