I heard about this place from a coworker months ago. She said the burrito was delicious and cheap. So this morning, I had to visit our warehouse nearby and I was really hungry at 1130. I know there aren’t much food options around our warehouse. When I got off I-95, I remembered my coworker told me about this place so I swung into the Shell parking lot. Like the other reviewers, I found the place to be tidy and clean. The staff were very pleasant. After glancing at the blackboards, I went with a chicken burrito with fries($ 6.75) — great deal. I completely missed the daily special sign at the counter until it was too late … it was chicken empanada $ 1.25 each. I would have gotten 5 of those for sure. The burrito was really good. I mean I would rather visit a small owner operated place, support a local business … instead of going to a Chipotle or something. I definitely will revisit every time I have to visit our warehouse.

I come here every morning, the ladies are really nice and and make delicious sandwiches. I would recommend to call ahead because some times it’s gets quite full of customers in the morning.

This place is more than meets the eye. They make daily specials, homemade pounded chicken cutlets, rice, beans, tostones, empanadas, etc. I have grabbed food breakfast/lunch here many many times and never disappointed. The setup is odd and would not say gourmet, but VERY clean, VERY affordable, and always good! The owner is always nice and takes you order, translates to Spanish and the other woman make it. It is not fast food but definitely good food fast! Keep in mind that if you order and want chips or a drink to go with it you have to pay at the gas station counter because they are separate. You also can pay with a credit or debit card but she will have to ring up your order and then you go to the gas station counter to pay with plastic.

So I was at the gas station that this is located inside of(Shell) to conclude some business, since the company I work for does radio marketing systems at gas stations and other venues. The owner was not there, so I decided to grab some breakfast on my way out heading back to Brooklyn after a long week in CT. Their prices are very fair and the ladies behind the counter are very nice. There is some seating, and also a bar area to eat at if you like but I got mine to go. I paid $ 2.50 for 2 eggs, provolone and tomato on a whole wheat wrap — which was the same price if it was on a roll, bagel, etc. The lady looked at me and asked«what kind of meat» to which I responded I am a vegetarian, and she laughed and made a joke that there are not many vegetarians in a town like this in Connecticut. I laughed, I figured as much anyway. The business was not on Unilocal,so I decided to add it. This place does phone orders and I believe delivery too. They have a full deli, and can make pretty much anything and everything for breakfast and lunch, plus being located inside of an already big gas station with several options for drinks and snacks makes it a good location to fuel up both your car and your body for cheap but good quality food. They also do omelettes, sammiches, etc!
