This is a phenomenal moving company. I’ve had some BAD experiences moving around the country and locally. I recently used Derosier Moving to move my household from CT to the Boston, MA area. Derosier Moving exceeded my every expectation and I highly recommend them for anyone moving within CT or between Maine and Virginia. It’s a family owned business since 1918 and a family member is always supervising every stage of the move. They are also an affiliate of North American Van LInes. Jim Scroggins was my sales rep and provided great service when estimating the size, weight and cost of my move. He quoted me a price for them to pack me as well and he broke out the entire thing so I could see exactly how I was being charged. Keith Derosier is one of the sons and he supervised my move. He was outstanding. Derosier offers to provide their customers with free, previously used moving boxes and they only charge a nominal delivery fee to do it if you can’t come pick them up from their Stratford, CT location. When I called for free boxes, I literally had them within 2 hours and I lived almost 45 minutes away from them. They had to make 2 stops during my move — one to my new house and one to a storage facility I rented about 10 miles from the new house. They organized everything so that there was no confusion and they handled my belongings gently. They protected the floors and walls of my houses at all times. Their pricing was very good and I ended up spending less than I thought I would for a major move. If you need a mover in Fairfield County, CT or if you’re moving from CT anywhere up to Maine or down to Virginia, I HIGHLYRECOMMEND these guys. Alan Derosier is the owner, Keith and Kyle Derosier are two of the sons I dealt with, and Ted is one of their senior team members and all of them are great at what they do — and they work HARD!
