Went to this business around 2:30/3:00pm on 6÷23÷16. Super small portions, staff was rude and incompetent. We had to explain to them what they owed us in change(not sure if this miscalculation was intentional) and they moved on to the next customer without completing our 6 ice creams. We had to tell them which ones they’d missed. They did not apologize at all and acted like we’d done something wrong! I used to scoop ice cream myself, so I extend plenty of grace to people making mistakes, but no excuse for bad service! Do not plan to return. Huge disappointment as my family of 6LOVES ice cream. I would not recommend this place.

I came here a couple days ago and they were closed for the season, but the owner who was working next door saw us standing outside and let us in, he gave my son a free cup of cookies and cream and even gave us a pint of their maple icecream, not only was this the BEST icecream we have ever had, the owner was literally an angel! He was so kind to us, he let us in to his shop, served us and even showed my 2 year old son where they make icecream and gave him a really cool sticker. It’s not everyday you see acts of kindness like that, it was the highlight of my day and I’ll never forget the kindness he showed us! So thank you again mystery man for your kindness and compassion! May God bless you abundantly! We will be a customer of IC scoops for life!

We stopped in with 19 folks for ice cream, which causes an immediate line. We all enjoyed the ice cream and the extensive list of flavors they had. Prices were normal based on what we pay in NY. One thing i didn’t like was the attitude of several of the employees. We had 11 kids, many of whom wanted to try samples. had we come in individually, I am sure there would have been NOISSUE. But, since we were a large group, two acted put off. I am use to this attitude in NY, but it annoys me to no end when I am traveling, and I hate it when people treat kids less than friendly. The three stars is 4.5 for the ice cream and selection, and minus 2 for service. I rounded up. Not sure we will be back.

Treated ourselves for some ice cream tonight and wanted to give this local place a try. We had a mix of sundaes and cones. The Vermont Maple was the popular flavor and had a really nice maple flavor sans the walnuts. From the looks of the ice cream smattered faces in our group, everyone really enjoyed IC Scoops.

Two tiny scoops of ice cream for $ 4.95 is a rip off. Even if you are on vacation and spending vacation money. Better bet would be to stop by a nearby gas station quickie mart and pick up a pint or two of Ben & Jerry’s.(2 stars(instead of 1) since staff was pleasant and merely following the 7 ounce two scoop weight directive of the management.)

Good ice cream but I think they over charged me accidentally. The maple cremee and the strawberry were very good.

Tons of flavors — even vegan and shorbet options which was great! Highly recommend stopping here for ice cream if you’re in Stowe!

I love the ice cream and their unique flavors. Especially the Mint Fudge Cookie. It’s not to be missed! However, they really should remove all the ridiculous passive aggressive signs that have no business in a business. What are they thinking with the order by number signs?! And the, «Here’s how to order» signs that say, «say cup or cone first»?! Then flavor number. Then blah blah blah… Heck with that. I’m at an Ice Cream shop, not the DMV! Ice cream should NEVER have a regimented procedure or policy. It’s supposed to be spontaneous and FUN!

Great ice cream, great service, best spot in town for a hot summer day. Specially during art on park. The pistachio and maple walnut are my favorite.

Great ice cream lots of different flavors! Wonderful little shop in the village of Stowe! Staff is kind and quick, be aware they do not take credit cards. Price is a little on the expensive side, 4.00 for a single cone!

Of course, I give this place 5 stars! It’s ice cream! Who doesn’t love ice cream, right? Walking through stores in downtown Stowe, I got a little hungry so I found the perfect spot! I was especially happy since they separated nut flavors and non-nut flavors because of my nut allergy. 20 different flavors to choose from and you can mix them or get only one and you can choose to eat it in a bowl, cone, waffle cone(my choice) etc. I got a waffle cone with Cookies and Cream and Salted Caramel. The décor is also vibrant and fun. I really liked the American flag, instead of putting the 50 stars, there was an ice cream cone! Very cool!

Yummy! I actually got ice cream before having lunch! Wooooo! That felt good. Anyways, I got one scoop of mint fudge cookie in a cup. I was extremely happy with this choice, like I knew I would be! After hearing that they have this flavor, I KNEW I have to get it! So my mom and I made a trip of it. A hike to Bingham falls. Walking around stowe. Getting some ice cream then heading out to get pizza. The service I received could have been better, sure, but really wasn’t bad enough to dock more than one star! The price was a bit high, but you usually have to pay more for something good. I will return for sure!

Very good ice cream. They had around 20 flavors and you can mix and match as you please. Some of the flavors are a little more eclectic, such as maple bacon(and the maple bacon is GOOD. They candy the bacon so it’s still crunchy, not stringy). I’m also a big fan of the mint fudge cookie. It’s conveniently located near the bike path, so it’s a nice treat after doing a few rounds of that. It’s a little pricy, but I think the quality is worth it. It didn’t seem that there was a bathroom in store, but they do have a sink for you to wash up in.

The service here is a joke & considering they pride themselves on ice cream, my husband’s cookies & cream tasted like it was freezer burned. Also, how can you not offer a public restroom to at least allow your customers to wash their hands? No place to inside. Lackluster experience.

I have to echo the sentiments of other reviewers here. While indeed the ice cream is amazing, the service here from the teens who run the place leave a lot to be desired. I get it, that summer jobs can be a bummer at times but that’s no reason to have a sour expression on your face at all times. Management here seriously need to look into things.

Came here specifically for the maple creemee after dinner. It was very good, though not the best we’ve had and far more expensive than any other examples on this trip. Aroma and taste of maple was definitely there, and it was very smooth with no ice crystals.

This place gets five stars, easy. I’m an ice cream aficionado and this place is top quality. Where ever I go, I always seek out the local ice cream place and this is one of the best ever. Nope, I’m not a local but I managed to go three times in two days. I loved the maple creemee(got mine swirled with vanilla). It is smooth, sweet and actually tastes like maple. People in Vermont take their maple very seriously so defiantly one to order. I also tried a variety of ice cream flavors as well. The ice cream itself has a wonderful mouth feel with no weird after taste or chalky texture. The cherry with chocolate chunks was amazing and I don’t really like cherry that much! I had another flavor that was chocolate and peanut butter and I’m still thinking about it days later. There were swirls of peanut butter(nice and salty) running through the ice cream. Nutty maple was another winner. My husband got the mint chocolate chip and it was bursting with actual mint flavor. And I’m not sure what another reviewer’s problem is with lack of flavor selection. Where freshness and quality is important, I’m glad NOT to see 50 flavors. They had three creemee flavors and maybe 15 ice cream flavors. I think that’s PLENTY. The best part is that these flavors are all about the flavor and NOT just mashing in as many additives as possible. I’m not a big fan of Ben & Jerry’s for this reason, I like to taste the ice cream and not just chunks of cheap filling. In fact, just comparing them to B&J is a major insult in my book. Staff is wonderful. Prices are TOTALLY reasonable. Décor is cute.

I can’t believe this place hasn’t been reviewed yet! This little ice cream shop prides itself on homemade ice cream that they claim is healthier(although calorie-wise, it really isn’t). The flavor selection isn’t big, but the flavors themselves are. Everything tastes amazing! I had some key lime ice cream as well as some coffee brownie. Oh my goodness! Both were creamy and amazing. The little stools lining the walls are the perfect place to enjoy some yummy ice cream! It’s worth it. I know everyone goes to Ben and Jerry’s, but I gotta tell you– this place is better! If you really like it, take home a quart! :-)
