Corner Cafe

It’s not much to look at but the food is good. Décor is strictly roadside casual. The good news is that they seemed to do a good job on the meal that I had and those that I saw delivered to others. I had a nice house-​made seafood stew that had a generous amount of fish and shrimp in a mildly spicy tomato broth with vegetables. Definitely worthy a stop if you are in the neighborhood.

This place is adorable and small. I like that it’s family owned. Service was really friendly, those girls must drop when they get out of there there’s so much going on. We walked in around 1015 and it was packed, but we didn’t wait long to sit. I’d say come with one other person, 3+ people and you’re probably looking at a much longer wait on a weekend.
I ordered the hash benedict and au gratin home fries. The hash was so good! It has to be homemade, decent chunks of corned beef and the potatoes weren’t mushy. The hollandaise was also great. I wasn’t a huge fan of the home fries, I thought the sauce could have been a bit thicker. I’d like to try their regular home fries, I think they’d be more my speed. My sister loved the au gratin ones though, so what do I know?
Also ordered two chocolate chip pancakes. So fluffy! Not quite the sweetness in the batter I had hoped for, but with butter they are great.
Overall, this is the best breakfast I’ve had on the south shore. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked awesome, so I’ll be back to try some more.

Was in the area and stopped in for breakfast. Got the veggie Benny and was not disappointed. Fresh sautéed spinach, mushrooms, onions and the poached eggs were perfect. Pancakes are insanely huge but yummy! Good prices, service was spot on. Wish I lived closer, this would become a regular spot for me!

The food is really good. The pancakes are as big as plates but they are still fluffy and taste great. I went there with my siblings and my daughter and we were stuffed. I just wish that when we entered the restaurant that someone greeted us or said something so we weren’t just standing there.

I loved this small place. They serve pretty big plates, and delicious (maybe potato was a bit over-​fried, but still good) Everyone is friendly and nice!

Friendly fast service with a very nice breakfast menu. Eat at the counter or table — fret not if there’s a wait — the tables & the counter turn over quickly so you’ll have a cuppa in front of you in no time.

This place was surprisingly good! I didn’t have high hopes for it… the outside of the restaurant didn’t look all that appealing. But the food and service was fantastic! I had their corned beef platter and asked for the hollandaise on the side. Good thing because I didn’t think the hollandaise added anything to the dish-​everything was super yummy without it. And my husband had the chicken wrap with a side of potato salad. I would definitely go there again!

The food was good. Basic breakfast fare at reasonable prices. Good size portions. I liked the home fries. The downside of this restaurant is that it’s a little tight and crowded. I would definitely eat here again.

I have gone to this breakfast place since it was on the corner of Canton street and school street. Everything is cooked to order. They have the biggest pancakes around. The corn beef hash is made from scratch and another must eat there. I would recommend this place to anyone. One other good item is they just started taking credit cards.

Food was great… Service wasn’t. The waitress was catering to her family members who were dining at the same time. She brought the wrong drink and never checked in with us to see if we needed anything.
