The perfect New York style pizza. It never disappoints me whenever I go in this place you can just stop in for a quick bite or they have a full menu for dinners I have never had a bad meal in Danny’s pizzeria. All meals are always cooked fresh. Staff is always friendly. I always stop in this place to grab some pizza whenever I’m close. If I had my choice Danny Pizzeria be the only place I ate pizza.

In a blind taste test of 10 cheese slices in the Carmel /Brewster /Kent area, for me, Danny’s was the clear winner. It doesn’t taste like crap pizza you get almost everywhere else around here. For a quick slice or pie on Friday night, Danny’s is the best. Super thin crust, flavorful sauce, with actual herbs and spices that aren’t just there for show. Go to Danny’s.

I have a friend who is a thru hiker on the Appalachian Trail who just ate at Danny’s Pizzeria. He was very disappointed in the tasteless pizza and surprised to find the management was anti-AT hikers. WOW! What are you Danny, NUTS?

I love this Pizza place! We really lucked out because there is no other Pizza, or anything really, for five miles in either direction… and Danny’s food is terrific! Have had all of the sandwiches over the last two years, gluten free pizza is great, as is the regular. The salads are always fresh and crisp, house dressing rocks! The cannoli’s are homemade and excellent. We order so much, Danny knows what we want just from the caller ID! Awesome place!

Not the friendliest staff. Won’t make a pie if you and they close within 15 minutes, i guess they don’t need the money, or the customers! Not open late EVER. Bleh pizza

Best pizza in the area by far!!! The gang working there are hard-working & very personable. Stop what you’re doing and order a pie!

The pizza is pretty good. The dough is a bit thinner than I recall in the past so $ 14 for a large pie is a tad high. Staff is friendly. We’ll return.

More than once again I have traversed to Danny’s for a fresh pie! And NEVER been dissappointed! Try the spicy chicken pie or one with eggplant. Whne other pizza places settled for chhese ‘mixtures’ Dan kept faithful to the verrrrry best fromage! Yay to that! I love his pizza sauce(so I don’t know what the one star is alluding to”…he MAKES it, it doesn’t arrive in a can marked«PIZZASAUCE»…like at least one of the other places not too far from this one does.) Ask about catering… Dan is very flexible.

Bought a slice of thick Sicilian pizza for a late, no cook dinner on the Appalachian Trail. For just $ 2.50 we received a generous portion that provided both a dinner and a breakfast serving. Danny’s also does more than pizza. The menu boards also listed several pastas and sandwiches. A stand alone cooler contained bottled soda and water. For A.T. hikers, we recommend dropping your pack next door at the deli first. Then just buy your pizza and leave Danny’s.(Not everyone appreciates«eau de hiker».) You can refill water bottles at the exterior tap along side the adjoining deli.(See my review of Mountain Top Deli.)

For you travelers reading this review(possibly passing through the area on I84) Let me turn you on to a local secret. Danny’s has the best pizza around. Bypass the other more convenient pizza stops, drive the extra mile and enjoy simply great pizza. Danny’s also has other tasty pizza shop offerings, pasta, hero sandwiches, calzones, etc. But the pizza is by far the best item and in true NY style available by the slice. A simple clean pizza shop, not the most captivating of environments, but go for the pizza. Hey did I mention the pizza?
