Good healthy place to be! But thus it is a bit expensive thus! Always good to be here every once in a while!

With Swirls And Twirls ~and~ YoGo Delish — in the same area — I don’t think Red-Mango can be as pricey as they are…

I am a long time red mango goer, but I feel as if this location has gone down hill somewhat. This place used to be clean and a great place to go but recently I have noticed a change. The store tends to be too crowded(not enough staff) and somewhat dirty. Maybe with more staff this place would appeal to me. I currently don’t go to the Stony Brook location, but others still have great yogurt.

Still the best… Tried a few other brands out there that opened nearby and they are all spiked with sugar. I think Red Mango is perhaps the most authentic. I still come here even though they took off the happy hour($ 0.33 per ounce instead of like close to 50 – 60 cents). Expect to spend ~$ 5 every time I come here for a decent serving.

Pretty good«frozen yogurt». To me it’s all ice cream lol. I enjoy they have a nutella flavor. The toppings are great as well, love the coconut! But was kind of confused about a tip jar… I mean i did all the work making it, does that mean i get the tips from it?

The Ice Creams here are pretty good, buts it’s a little overpriced for what you get, it is very fresh and nice though. I usually only come here if friends ask me.

I am a loyal Red Mango Fan! Pinkberry is much too tart for my taste. The reason why I love froyo so much, is that it is satisfying but without the calories. This is a self-serve location. You pay by weight. This is great for picky-froyo eaters like me. Sometimes I just want a tiny bit of everything. The Original and the Green Tea are amazing flavors. Strawberry is so creamy and tastes just like ice cream, minus the calories. Mochi, yogurt chips, blueberries, and mangos are an awesome topping combo!

Love the 33¢ special. Self serve is always a plus for me. The cashier seemed nice at first when she greeted us but I felt that she gave us an attitude at the end. She also scooped up a mango piece that was dropped outside the container. At least do it when the customers are not looking. Otherwise it’s a good place.

I like this red mango. 1. Because they have the flavor I like 2. Because their sprinkles aren’t stale. It looks like this place gets new flavors which is nice to try and there’s signs in the store that they’ll take competitor coupons. score! They even offer rainbow cookies as a topping here. super yum!

I stopped by here while visiting my bf in Long Island and realized how lucky I am to have Pinkberry and Yogurtland in Los Angeles. The plain tart flavor, which I’m normally a big fan of, tasted very watered down and sour. Based on taste alone, I’d like to give a one-star rating, but it’s the best(if not only) place you can get froyo in the area. and when my late night froyo cravings kick in, I’m pretty thankful Red Mango’s around.

Red Mango is the boooommmmb diggity!!! Being that I was a Pinkberry fan, I had to convert to Red Mango cuz it’s literally a block away from my place and I’m def glad I did. This is now my fav fro-yo spot for sure. The store is immaculately clean and the staff is really friendly. The best part; it’s self serve so you could load up as many yummy toppings as you want. They have at least 8 diff flavors on rotation, on a recent trip the flavors they offered were: The Original, Mango, Sonoma Strawberry, Cake Batter, Pomegranate, Coconut, Peanut Butter, and Chocolate… All of em are really good but If you have a hard time pickin which flav you want ask for some sample cups. Toppings: They have at least 20+ toppings. Just about every fruit that you can imagine; bananas, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, mango, kiwi. And for the gluttons; chocolate chips, butter finger, peanut butter cups, mochi(rice cakes), cheescakes bites, crushed oreos. You get the idea, but be careful not to load up to many toppings because they charge you by the weight I had to learn that the hard way. On a side note; Their yogurt is pro-biotic which promotes a healthy digestive system and for the calories conscious it’s only 30 calories per serving so you can go ahead and pig out and not feel guilty afterwards. Damn I’m starting to sound like a walking advertisement again. But it’s just that good!!!

I think sometimes I work out just to go to this red mango to get my bi weekly smoothie. The store is clean the fruit is always fresh and the yogurt is in so many smoothies it can be a little daunting in picking your flavor of the day. Make sure you get a rewards card and start building points because a discount is good for when you get addicted.

The first thing you should do before completing this review is make a mental note to request a Loyalty card the next time you’re at a RM(I think you can/should register for one online beforehand, if memory serves). The second thing you should do is ensure you have your birthday(or a ‘birthdate’ around which is more conducive to FroYo, if you’re the type who’s averse to it in months that have an «r» in them) and a valid e-mail on file. The third thing you should do is wait ’til you receive e-mail notification that they’ve graced your card with $ 5(’cause we all know the only time it’s hip to not snark hardcore on corporate entities is when they shower you with free stuff for your nonexistent dedication to their brand). The fourth thing you should do is drop into a RM(like this one, which boasts self-serve and a multitude of samples doled out by the 5 – 10 females working at any given time) to celebrate(realizing it was only a matter of time ’til someone in the SBU environs capitalized on the craze and the booming market demographic, even if they may be partially responsible for the downfall of the formerly-nearest CS). The fifth and final thing you should do is wait another year(or sign up for another card with another birthdate, if you’re a real dirtbag).

I give it four stars because it is self-serve, has about 10 – 12 flavors at a time, and the space is clean and very accessible. Compared to the city, I feel like the yogurt here is a lot more rich, creamy, and well-made. The toppings are the same as every Red Mango I’ve been to. Good thing is, they always have mochi(YES!) One star off, though, due to the service. There’s a bunch of teens and young adults who work here who are completely absorbed into their own conversations… and then I feel as if I’m interrupting them… lol The b-dizzle: Yogurt: really good! Toppings: good Service: eh… Atmosphere: ambient and relaxing.

Another self-serve Red Mango in a great location right on 347 and close to Stony Brook University. It was super busy on a summer Sunday night, but the young staff kept everything moving along nicely. Froyo dispensers & toppings area were clean and well-stocked. I like it!

I have a love for frozen yogurt. I generally dislike ice cream so this always my cold fix(besides an occasional taiwanese ice which they dont have near school :[). I’ve been to several Red Mangos and they are usually all the same. Don’t get me wrong, I love all Red Mangos and Pinkberrys alike. THISREDMANGOHOWEVER … has self serve !!! Now, this might not sound as exciting to most, but to me its the best idea executed ever. Not only can I mix any frozen yogurt flavor(this particular location has around 8 I believe), but there are so many choices in toppings and I can get as many or as little as I please! In addition, I feel like I end up paying less because I can adjust the amount of yogurt and amount of toppings to my liking. I usually end up paying 5 – 6 $ for a medium cup, while at any regular Red Mango I’ll usually pay around 7.

At this self-serve Red Mango, you basically pay 49¢ an ounce for all the froyo and toppings you want, however you want. It was a bit unsettling to walk in and be stared at by nearly 10 people behind the counter, and left me wondering why exactly you need so many employees milling about if all they’re going to do for you is man the registers. There were a lot of different flavors that I was surprised to see that they offered, such as dulce de leche, blueberry, and strawberry. The Madagascan vanilla was not too shabby but had a bit of a weird aftertaste especially if eaten sans toppings. I had the espresso, which left me reminiscing for the bygone coffee flavor from Pinkberry(yea yea bias again). The initial taste was a bit bitter but overall not too bad once you got used to it. Also just a heads up for anyone going now, they’re giving out cards for a free froyo(probably a small cup) for their«grand opening» on the 18th. Overall I’d give this 4(4.5 if possible) stars for the convenience to campus, large size of the store, and self-serve topping bar. I’m docking a star for feeling awkward regarding the ton of eyes on me like I’d really go and sabotage one of the machines or something.

Red Mango Stony Brook opened up on Friday 11⁄27 and it’s self serve as opposed to some of the other locations(Deer Park, Port Jeff etc) that have counter service. I much prefer the self service locations and this one is larger, friendlier, cleaner and they don’t skimp on the toppings as other locations do(since it’s self serve)…I HIGHLY recommend going to this location.
